Just so it's clear, I am aware of the fact that the title is cringy. I meant it as a joke, so.. Thank you for listening to my ted-talk and continue reading now.

"Lukas! This weekend was so amazing!" Jess rambled on and on for the fourth time that day. Lukas unlocked his locker, clearly being the less enthusiastic of the two. "Yes, I know. I was there too, remember?" Jess and Lukas had become closer friends since the weekend, and Lukas was content with it to say the least. Being around her always brought an soothing and somewhat cheerful energy to the room. It gave Lukas a certain feeling, something he couldn't quite describe. But he shrugged it off, assuming the feeling was normal.
"LUKAS!"
"Wha-" Lukas couldn't even finish an one-word sentence seeing as he got interrupted by Jesse sprinting towards him. "LOOK!" he exclaimed as he shoved a sheet of paper in Lukas' face.
"Jesse, I can't read what it says." Lukas snatched the paper from his hand an red it out loud. "Gaming.. club?"
"Yes! I was wondering if you could join it with me."
Lukas shrugged, doubtful of the proposal. "I don't know, my week is already pretty occupied with homework and student council crap. I'm not sure if I have time for—"
"Please??? I'm to socially awkward to go there on my own." Jesse blurted out, then sighed. Saying that out loud made him remember how antisocial he actually was. "Err.. uh.. ugh, fine." Lukas gave in. Jesse was his best friend after all, and he just couldn't say no to him. "Awesome! Thanks so much! Gaming club is after the last bell, meet me at my locker!" Jesse waved and headed in the opposite direction to go to class.
"It's nice that you care about each other so much." Jess remarked, scaring Lukas just a little. He almost forgot she was still there. "Yeah." Lukas answered softly, not sure how to respond. "It is."

Lukas and Jesse were on their way to the gaming club, and honestly, Lukas was pretty excited to join. He and Jesse always played video games together. He had never joined a club before, except for the student council, but that was more of a job than a club. Patrolling the halls, showing new students around, and having boring meetings multiple times a week, to sum it up.
Jesse opened the door to the computer lab to reveal a small group of nerds and geeks all doing their own thing, except for two particular boys in the middle of the room arguing. Both Jesse and Lukas had never seen any of those people in their entire lives.
"No it isn't."
"Yes it is."
"No it isn't."
"Yes it is."
"No it isn't."
"Yes it is."
This went on for a while. Lukas and Jesse exchanged glances with each other, when suddenly someone interfered with the argument. A girl with bright pink hair and a pale skin tone stepped forward, placing her hands on her hips. "What are you two arguing about this time?" she huffed, giving the boys a motherly glare. One of them looked up, their club leader's glare staring right into his soul. "Oh, hey Lizzie. We were just talking about something important."
"Really." the 'Lizzie' girl scoffed, unimpressed. "Care to tell me what it is?"
"Gladly." the guy answered, gaining a glare from the boy in front of him. "You see, I was just minding my own business, scrolling through #Fortnite on Tumblr, when suddenly Stampy started to be very mean to me-"
"That's not true!" the other guy, who's name was apparently Stampy, exclaimed meekly. "All I said was 'I still don't understand why you like Fortnite so much!'"
"Exactly." the boy from before began. "How would you feel if someone asked you why you adore Overwatch so much?"
"That's different! Besides, Overwatch is way better than that garbage game if yours." Stampy timidly argued, getting a dramatic gasp from the cyan haired guy in front of him. "How dARE YOU!"
Aaaaannd they were arguing again. Considering they could literally go on for hours, Lukas decided to finally speak up. Everyone suddenly looked at him and Jesse, giving them confused stares.
"Oh hey!" Lizzie cheerfully greeted, ignoring Stampy and whatever the other guy's name was. She took a step forward, waving at Jesse and Lukas. "I'm Lizzie, I'm the president of the gaming club."
"Hi, my name is Lukas. And this is my best friend Jesse." Lukas introduced himself and Jesse, sparing him the social interaction.
"It's nice to meet you guys." Lizzie announced, her eyes suddenly growing wide. "Uhm, I guess I owe you two an introduction. These two dorks are Dan and Stampy, and Stacy's the girl in the back." she mentioned as she pointed to her friends one at a time. Stacy was wearing headphones, so she was unaware of everything that just happened.
"So what brings you two here?" Lizzie asked, turning to face Lukas and Jesse again. A voice in the back of Lukas' mind told him that he probably shouldn't tell Lizzie that he was practically dragged here by Jesse. "Well.." he began, before getting cut off by Jesse. "We want to join the club! We love video games!"
Lizzie nodded and smiled. "So do we! That's why Stacy and I decided to start the gaming club, to encourage others to enjoy games just as much as we do."
"Lizzie really is a great leader." Stampy mentioned from behind. Dan also nodded in agreement. The two of them had finally settled down.
"I'm surprised there aren't more people in this club yet." Jesse remarked. "It must be hard to start a new club."
"You could put it that way." Lizzie began, grinning. "Not many people are interested in putting out all effort to start something new. You really have to work hard and convince people that you're both fun and worthwh-"
"You guys wanna play some Fortnite?" Dan interrupted Lizzie, making finger-guns with his hands as he did so. Lizzie turned around with an 'are you serious' look, her eyes twitching.
"Uhm, sure?" Lukas replied after getting an nod from Jesse.
"Urgh, fine." Stampy groaned in defeat. "But only this once!"
