Lord, I am so fucking nervous. Today is Leo's birthday and I have got a special present for him. I've been throwing up in the morning for a few weeks and two weeks ago I finally took a pregnancy test which was positive. I'll tell Leo about it today. I bought the smallest BVB children's shirt I could find and got the word 'PAPA' and Leo's number printed on it. I also taped the first sonogram on it and then put it in a box. Knowing that he'll open the package soon makes me really nervous. Like... We've only been together for a little more than a year and since he doesn't get much time on pitch he's talking to different clubs where he could go on loan for a year. All that doesn't make having a child easier but Leo and I love love each other and so I'm sure we'll manage everything. We wanted to have children one day anyway. Now it's just two or three years earlier than we planned.
Anyway, I'm preparing the present table right now while Beni, Luchi and Leo's parents are waking my boyfriend up. I put all the different presents on the table, placing the special box in the middle. Then I leave the living room for the kitchen to get the Birthday cake. It looks fabulous. On top there's the Argentinian flag but instead of the sun there's the BVB logo in the middle of it. On the side of the cake there are some pictures of us and Leo and his family. I carefully lift the cake up and carry it to the living room where I put it on the table. I next look into the mirror and correct my long, light blond hair one last time before Leo and his family enter the room as well. I step towards my boyfriend, wrap my arms around him and say: "Happy birthday cariño! I wish you all the best for this new year of your life. I love you." before softly connecting our lips. Leo returns the kiss and smiles into it, then lets go of me and answers: "Thank you mi vida. I love you too." We smile at each other and then kiss again. Our lips move in perfect sync and I totally enjoy the kiss. I take Leo's hand and lead him to his present table. His parents, siblings and I sit down on the sofa and we all watch him open his presents. He is happy about every single one of them which looks so very cute. Then he finally takes THE present. Now I'm really nervous. Neither Leo nor any of his family members knows about the baby and I am a little afraid of their reaction.
Leo takes the box, sits down next to me and then starts unwrapping it. He removes the bow, the wrapping paper and then the lid of the box. He put it aside and looks at the box. His eyes open widely and he looks at me. Or better: Leo stares at me. "Really?", he asks and as I nod he hugs me and lifts me up, twirling me through the air. As Leo puts me down on the floor again he smiles bright before kissing me intensively. I happily return the kiss, then smile at him again and put my head against his chest. From that position I can see his family who doesn't have a clue what is happening. "Uhhhh, Leo, we don't want to interrupt y'all but what did you get?", Beni asks. Leo lets go of me a little, takes the shirt out of the box and turns it around so his family can see the sonogram and the word papa. "Oh my god!", his mother exclaims. The others are too surprised to talk. Leo puts the shirt on the table, pulls me closer by my waist and puts his free hand on my still flat belly. The first one to get their words back is Beni. She stands up, hugs us and says: "Congratulations! I'm so happy for you two. Oh wow, I'm becoming an aunt!" The rest of Leo's family now also finds back to life and we get some more congrats and hugs. I'm so happy that they all are happy about it. I was a little scared because Leo's family is really religious but they all reacted so nicely.
About an hour later, after we've had breakfast, Beni, Luciano, Leo and I are lying on the couch. Leo holds me very close and softly strokes over my belly. "I'm so happy Melissa. It's so crazy! We're having a beautiful, little baby boy or baby girl. In a few months we'll hold our little bundle of love. I really can't wait for that. I'm so happy right now. I love you cariño.", he whispers before kissing me softly. I smile into the kiss and pull him a little closer. This moment is just perfect. I really couldn't be happier.
