Nadia was born with cat-like eyes that glow in the dark. She cannot spend too much time outside in the day without getting a headache and watery eyes. But, at night she has spectacular eyesight and can catch even the smallest things.

This is what leads her to be such a good archer. Nadia is rather introverted from being alone almost her entire life. From the age's five to eleven she went to 'Youth Advanced Training' a boarding school in Europe. She was trained to be as strong as she is now, she also was introduced to the Avengers there since they used a lot of their techniques in group practices.

Nadia thrived here once she was taken under the wing of one of the best, becoming advanced in archery and gymnastics. She graduated; top of her class when she was eleven she went back to America to live with her father Charles Roads. During her stay at YAT, she would spend a few months with her father in Hell's Kitchen every year to spend time to learn about typical American history and studies.

She has always thrived in her academics and graduated earlier than her age group. When she turned fifteen her father began the process to move her into public schooling. Little to Nadia's knowledge her father is an agent at S.H.I.E.L.D. He has been her entire life and him adopting her was just a mission from Nick Fury.

Nick kept it under wraps just like he did for Clint and his family. Charles was never the 'dad' type and only spent time with Nadia when they were learning something. Nadia made few friends at YAT and doesn't keep in touch with any of them.

She spends ages eleven to fifteen exploring the internet and learning about the world for herself. She also crafts her own bow and arrow based on Hawkeye's designs. When Nadia is doing her typical thing at night she meets Matthew Murdock otherwise known as Daredevil.

He believes her to be a threat and tries to stop her but she fights well. She isn't the best at close combat which makes her lose, Matt questions her and finds out she isn't a threat. He decides to take her under his wing and teach her in close combat, their relationship grows into a father-daughter one, replacing Charles almost completely.

Nadia only got the training because she figured out his true identity, Matt tried to do the same for Nadia but since she is a ghost he cannot find anything. Even though they grow close Nadia doesn't tell him much about herself, like her last name. Which would reveal her identity to him.

When she has to go to public school Charles asks Tony Stark to create glasses for Nadia so the sun and lights don't hurt her eyes. He may act aloof most of the time but he does care about her, he was taught to not show emotion so he doesn't know how to act.

Nadia was taught to be cold in YAT but she is surprisingly compassionate and knows how to interact with people. Tony isn't told what these glasses are for and names them 'The Nocturnus Project' he uses this as an outlet and just casually upgrades them when he's bored or has free time.

Nadia receives the glasses and the story begins when she is being followed by one of Tony Stark's empty suits, that she blows up.

Physical Appearance ⎯ She has naturally tanned skin and thick curly hair. Her jaw is soft and declines into a small point. Nadia is on the short side. She has narrow shoulders and a slight curve to her waist.

Personality ⎯ Nadia is introverted in general, more-so around strangers. She is very headstrong and will do what she thinks is right, regardless of what others will think of her. She is rather confident in her abilities but doesn't trust herself to let go in case she hurts someone.

Nadia prefers hanging out with one person at a time since a large group of people will drain her emotionally. She can be quite hot-headed when it comes down to it and doesn't tolerate her family and friends being hurt.

She keeps a rather good control over her emotions but the stronger they are, the easier they slip out. She is rather open-minded and is unreligious. No matter how much she was taught to not show her emotions she can't help but sympathize with those around her, this actually aides her most of the time.

She cries when she is emotionally exhausted and can't think straight when she is livid. When she is very angry her powers overwhelm her and destroy whatever seems like an enemy. She fears hurting the people she loves more than anything since she spent a lot of her life alone.
