Roadtrip Day 14:
Destination: Naga City, Camarines Sur
Travel Time: 5 1/2 hours

Claire's POV:

Alex resumes driving the food truck to our next destination, Naga City...and right now, Alice is fast asleep with her head leaning at the window. Well, I guess Alice needs that sleep to regain her resistance after she fought flu two days ago.

She's so deep asleep that the traffic in Gumaca, Quezon...didn't bother her at all.

"Yaawnn...guys, can you wake me up when we arrive in Naga? Thanks....zzzzz..." That's the only thing that she wants before she began to snore. But somebody's uneasy about it...

"Claire...what am I gonna do?" Alex asked me while he's driving.

"Huh? What do you mean?"

"Well...Flonne really wanted to see the places we are going to pass by...but now she's fast asleep." Alex further explains. "I'm wonder if she wakes up later and remember what she said to me...she will be disappointed."

"Hehehe! That's way too easy! We just need to have Danica's camera and take a picture of places that I know Alice likes the best."

"But Claire...there's a problem." The camera's owner, Danica, step up. "My camera is in Alice's pocket."

"Well, why don't you get it, Danica?"

"Umm...that's the point, Claire." Danica refutes. "I might make Alice angry if I wake her up...you're her best friend so you get it for me."

"...sigh...I don't have a choice, do I? Alright, I'll get it."

"Just be careful, Claire." Alex warned me. "If you make a little touch with the gear...the I might lose a bit of control, okay?"

I simply nodded at him as I slowly cling towards the seat of the sleepy Alice. First, I visibly examine which pocket has Danica's camera in it. Identifying in moments, I carefully shoot my hand unto Alice's pocket and slowly...I slip the camera out of the hole. But just as I completely remove the digicam from her pocket...Alice moved.

"Eeek!" I covered my mouth when I reacted to my best friend's sudden movement...but good thing...that she just turning her side so she can sleep comfortably. Yes! My mission is complete!

"Okay, what should I do next?" Then I asked Alex again.

"Well, take a best picture."

Okay, I quickly understand what Alex means. Besides, I know what kind of places Alice wants to see. So while my best friend is fast asleep, I will do my best so that no sceneries in this nature trail will not be missed!

"Oh! Here it is!"

An exceptional arch titled "Gateway to Bicolandia." Beyond this arch is the town of Santa Elena, Camarines Norte...but after traveling for some hundreds of meters...we found ourselves back to Quezon province, making our driver confused...

"Huh? What just happened? In one moment we arrived in a new province...then the next we just came back to the old province?"

"Ehehehe...there's nothing you could do, Alex." I giggled on his confusion. "That's the system of roads...sometimes it just spin you back to where you started. Hehehe!"

Another hundreds of meters from the boundary of Camarines Norte and Quezon...we passed by to another arch...

"Claire, is this Bicol for good?"

"Of course, it is, silly!" I slapped Alex's shoulder to gave some sense into him. "In fact, we are drawing near to our destination. Just hold on to your steering wheel, okay?"

Yeah...holding on is the right word...since we are about to hit some bumpy paved road.

"...rumble...rumble..."

"...rumble...rumble..."

Hitting some uneven parts of the road makes our truck shake...we hear our bottles of condiments and plastics of meat and vegetables sealed in our refrigerator hitting each other when the roads get bumpy. Alice, on the other hand...umm...how could I say this...her body is swaying to the bumpy surfaces that the truck is passing...and one time, her head bumps to the window hard.

"Ow!" Alice reacted...but immediately, she returns to slumber. Wow...she's one brave sleeper we have here.

Our trip continues through another nature trail...so I'm not letting this opportunity pass to take picture of the sceneries...

...from the scenic driveways created by nature...

...to crystal clear bays...

...and to plainly beautiful grasslands.

I take picture of every possible sceneries that Alice may like by the time I show it to her when she wakes up...until...

"Click...huh?" I noticed that Danica's digicam can't take pics anymore. I check upon its memory and I discovered that it is full already. "Danica, the memory's full. Is this still fine for you?"

"Oh, yes. Sure." Danica, who is watching me all day as I take random pictures, replies with a smile. "When Alice is done with those, I can take care of the memory. Don't worry."

As the trip continues for another hour...mountains, forests and grasslands slowly begins to be replaced by houses, buildings and schools...and traffic begins to slowly as one town becomes more populous than the last. Our five and a half hour nature trail through Quezon and Bicol is coming to an end...and the only thing that we are waiting to see is another arch...

"We're here!" Alex happily announced our arrival to our next destination: Naga City. The crew is then greeted with a round of heavy rush hour traffic...as workers and students alike begins to return home from work and classes.

"Beep! Beep!"

The single sound of the car horn...actually makes Alice wake up!

"Yaaaawn...ow...my head." Alice stretches her arms and reassessing her head that bumped to the window earlier. Don't worry, though, she's fine.

"Hello, sleepyhead!" Alex greeted his girlfriend with a pun. "How's your nap?"

"Hehehe! Pretty good! Hehe..wait! Where are we?" That's when Alice noticed something's wrong

"We're arrived in Naga, Flonne."

"Waaaah!!! I've missed the nature trail!" Alice slumped his face to her lap in disappointment. "Why didn't you tell me? What I'm gonna do now?!"

And that's when I came in to save the day! Hehehe!

"Here, Alice!" I gave her the camera she used earlier.

"Hmm? What's this? Hmm!!! Not to mention the you stole it from my pocket!!!" Alice pouted at me and wants my explanation.

"Well...umm...those are the picture of the sceneries we've passed earlier." I calmly explain to my best friends. "Alex told me to do so because he didn't wanted to ruin your beauty sleep."

"Beauty sleep, huh?" Alice's pouted face then turned to Alex, who scratches his head in embarrassment...she then glanced to the newly added photos in the camera's gallery. For every picture that she sees, it makes her convinced about what we did earlier...and eventually, makes her very happy.

"Hehehe! Good job taking this pictures, guys." Alice giggles after seeing all of my pics. "I'll take this to my smartphone. Thanks, Claire and Lexi!"

"Your welcome! Hehehe!"

Alice took out her smartphone and activated its Bluetooth function, along with the camera's. Within minutes, my photos were quickly transferred to her phone so she could enjoy the pics more often.

"Here, thanks!" Alice happily returned the digicam to Danica...as she is about to told us her another random idea. "Hey, guys. How about we go selling our foods until late at night?"

"EEEEH?!?!"
