Roadtrip Day 10:
Location: Lingayen City, Pangasinan.

Alice Flonne's POV:

Hehehe! This chapter is fast forwarded!

Well, nothing much happened yesterday when we are in Laoag, Ilocos Sur. Aside from seeing some seaside sceneries out there. We're just busy selling my cooking...and Alex's fast food creations. Man, the people are crazy for our cooking that some of them orders more! Hehehe! But...ugh...not again! Alex won the day...selling more fastfood orders...even I cook giniling, adobo, bistek, and menudo all of the same time! Hmph! At least I'm still leading with 3 wins to two! Hehehe!

Well, what's special today? Let's see....

We are just about to find a perfect place to sell our foods, and Alex is driving the truck for me...

"Argh! Traffic again!" My head begins to piss off with this unconventional situation. "How can we get started if this traffic is not moving for five minutes?!?!"

"He-hey! Calm down, Alice! Don't you get used with this traffic everytime?" Claire tries to calm me down with a smile. "Besides, Alex is on the wheel, how about you forget about this dizzy traffic and close your eyes and take a nap?"

"Hehehe! That makes more sense. Thanks, Claire!" Then I turned to my boyfriend for permission. "Alex, I'm gonna make some shuteye for a while. Just wake me up when you find a perfect spot for our next battle, okay?"

"Hehehe! If you say so. Go ahead, Flonne. Take a nap."

With a smile, I complied to what Alex is telling me. Well, even I hear the loudest noises that the nearby vehicles are honking, I will just close my eyes...relax to my seat...and thinking to myself...that this would be another great day.

"Aaaah...."

Then suddenly, I hear a siren! Huh?! Why I feel a strange...and uneasy feeling?

I opened my eyes and saw...a traffic enforcer signaling us to pull over to the side of the street...

"Good morning sir." The traffic enforcer greets Alex. "Is this the first time you are passing this road?"

"Yes, certainly, sir. We are just tourists passing by and selling food."

"But sir...do you have any license to show us that you could drive this truck?"

That single question of the traffic enforcer froze Alex's face...and even me. I just taught him how to drive days ago and mastered it but...ugh! Why does this happen?!?!

"We're sorry to tell you that driving without a license is not allow here in our city." The traffic enforcer further explains. "Is there anyone else who has a driving license?"

"I do, sir." I raised my hand and volunteered myself. The enforcer then goes to my side and said.

"Alright, I will let you go as a warning. But please, I recommend you to apply for a license...since there are tougher enforcer here in this stretch. Don't worry, the license registration center is just meters away from here. Thanks for collaborating with us and have a nice day."

As quickly does he saw us, the enforcer quickly walks away...back to the middle of the road and continues to moderate the traffic. Meanwhile, I saw Alex...slumping his face on the steering wheel...

"...sigh...I'm sorry, guys. I dragged you to all of this."

But instead of being angry, I patted Alex's shoulder and cheer him up.

"Hehehe, it's okay, Alex. It's actually my fault for not knowing about the license. If you want, I help you to learn the ropes of driver's test."

"She's right, Alex!" Danica adds to the conversation. "You already know the ways how to drive. I'm very sure that you will pass that test in no time!"

"Okay, Alex. If you will be able to pass that test, you could have a free kiss from Alice right this instant!"

"WHA-WHAAAT?!?! CLAAAIRE!!!" My face blushed into tomato red when my best friend gives me this...ugh...unconventional offer. You should just offer him something like...umm...a free lunch or something!

"Umm...aah...sure, why not?" See! Even Alex is blushing with Claire's offer. "But...I should just...umm...never mind."

Claire grins to me as Alex resumes his driving. Right now, we will going into a detour...so that he could have his own driver's license.

Claire's POV:

Danica, Alice and I are in full force when Alex goes to the licensing office to get his right to drive...

"Hello, sir. What can I help you?" A kind clerk attends Alex.

"Mam...umm...how can I have a driver's license?"

"Oh! That will be easy for you if you believe me." The clerk then explains. "You will just have to take two seperate test: the first one will be the written test, which you need to master all of the traffic rules and regulations as well as interpreting traffic lights and signs. The other one is the practical test, which you will be driving our test car in our specialized driving course...where you should know how the real driver adapts to real time situations."

"Okay! I'll take it!" Without hesitation, Alex accepted the challenge.

"Okay then, you can now proceed to our testing room nearby. Good luck!"

Alex then quickly goes to the testing sight without a hinch...or even turned back to us and wave his hand. I guess he is very serious with this license, huh?

Danica's POV:

"Hmm...I wonder what's on those papers Alex is answering right now?"

"Huh? What do you mean, Alice?" I wondered about her insights and asked her.

"Well...I didn't take that tests before. I mean what I'm gonna do with the registration for a driver's license is...umm...take a picture and type in some personal information. That's it."

"Ooh...probably the registration depends per province or region or so." I concluded.

"Ugh!!! My heart is starting to palpitating!" Alice follows up. "If Alex will not make it through the test, how could I find another driving buddy?"

"Ayeee!!! Little sweetie Alice is concerned with her boyfriend Alex! Hehehe!!!" And as usual, Claire teases and puns her bestfriend...

"Co-come on! Ple-please, shu-shut up!" ...in which she reply with her blushing face.

We sat down and look blankly at the testing room...hoping that something with come out very good from Alex. Everyone of us...is on the edge of our seats...when the room's door suddenly flew open...and Alex come out...with a perhaps relaxed face...

"Alex! Alex!" Alice stood up first and run towards him. "How's the test? How do you do? Do you pass?"

"Not yet, Flonne. The results of my written exam will not be released for the next half hour." Alex informs his girlfriend. "But for now, I will need to go out to the driving course for the next part of the test."

"Oh...okay then." Alice's voice is painted with disappointment. "See you later, Alex. Good luck."

Alex's POV:

I have gone out into this empty driving course...only a car is seen here. Without hesitation, I opened its door and sit to the driver seat. Then suddenly, something from the control panel in front of me lits up...directing me to take a seatbelt. Doing so...a automated voice spoke from the car...

"Good day, this is the second part of your test to apply for a driver's license. Once you hear this sound...beeeep...you can now start driving. There are three cameras in this car is stationed to monitor your movements: one in the hood, another at the roof behind you, and the last is at the back, in the trunk. Remember all the traffic rules, signs and lights that you have encountered on your written test. Have a safe driving and good luck."

"BEEEEEEP!!!!"

At the signal, I immediately push the brake pedal while turning the key knob to the right...igniting the car's engine. Pushing the breaks and shifting the gear, I started to drive the test car. I'm aware of my surroundings, even I'm alone here...because nobody knows what will happen ne-woah!

"SHIIIIING!!!!" The tires scratched the streets as I pushed the brakes to hard. That was close from beating the red light!

When the light turns green, I resumed my driving. Turning into a corner, I lit on the blinker lights...when something sprinkled the hood with water, I activate the wiper...I drive through all the tight ends, corners and rotundas of this driving course with my eyes closed...ehehehe... I mean without any hassle at all!

"BEEEEP!!!!"

The siren sounds at the car, signaling the end of the second part of my driving test. Leaving the car...and the course with a smile inyo my face, I'm very sure that I would have that driver's license in no time!

Alice Flonne's POV:

Alex returns from his test drive around the course...

"Umm...Alex, how's the test now?" I lowered my voice out of uneasiness. "I'm very worried about you...will you make it?"

"Hehehe! Don't be sad, Flonne." I told her while patting her head. "I'm sure that I will gonna pass this test. All we need to do is wait."

And so did we wait...seconds turns into minutes...and minutes turn into ho-ooh...

"Mr. Alexander Ramos!" A voice came out from the testing room.

"Yes, mam! What is it?" Alex quickly stood up and walked towards the direction of the voice. It seems that something happening there, until...

"CLICK!" A flash came out from the room...followed by a screech of...perhaps a printer. And finally, Alex came out with an envelope in his hand.

"Flonne! Flonne! Come here for a little moment, I'm gonna show you something..."

Out of curiosity...and with uneasiness still on my mind, I stood up and walked towards him...I looked closer as Alex flipped open the envelope...and reveal its contents...

"Here!" As swift as lightning, Alex swiped the content of the envelope and it turns out...it's his brand new license. "Surprise! Hehehe!"

"KYAAAAAA!!!!!" My heart is full with so much joy that I jumped and hug Alex very tightly. "You did it! You did it! I'm so proud of you, Alex!"

"Hehehe! Thanks, Flonne!"

I hugged Alex for a little long time. Yes! I have no problems now! I can still have my Alex as my favorite driving buddy! Hehehe!

"Hey, Alice! You forgot the kiss!!!" Claire broke the ice by remembering what she is betting for.

"CLA-CLAIRE!!! PLEASE!!!"

"Oh, you lovebirds! Saying your thoughts at the same time! Hehehe!"
