Peppermint tea filled the air as Lucy adjusted her loose golden curls hanging down her shoulders as she studied herself in the mirror. Looking back at the worrisome girl reflecting back at her she smeared lip stick on her lips trying to find ways to have courage.
"Peter is here dear." Lucy's nanny Eleanor announced to the princess who's eyes looked as if they were about to pop out. Throwing the lipstick in her Burberry tanned purse she arose making her way to the door.
"You look lovely my dear. You will wow him with yourself." She said holding her chin as Lucy's eyes stared down at her shoes.
"Now, where may I ask did you get that dress?" Eleanor questioned the princess with a smirk tugging at her lips. Lucy stared down at her dress laughing as the nanny observed her periwinkle dress that had no sleeves and looked if it were a beach coverup.
"In a magazine I stole off of Ruby's desk." Lucy mumbled after she had started making her way down stairs locking eyes with Peter who's mouth looked as if it were hanging open.
"Y-you look amazi-." Peter had tried to say before Charles enter the room not even bothering to look up at his daughter and new boyfriend interrupting Peter.
"Taking my daughter somewhere Peter?" Charles asked ruffling his newspaper folding it under his arm as he took off his reading glasses.
"Yes sir, just out for coffee in the countryside." Peter said stumbling over his words startled by Charles sudden appearance. Lucy who had been watching this exchange rolled her eyes as she reached for her jacket hanging from the coat stand.
"Well, very well then." He said as he walked over to his daughter kissing the top of her curled hair before whispering, "if he lays a hand on you I'll call William."
"He won't papa." Lucy promised as Peter held out his hand that Lucy gladly held as they made their way to Peters vintage jaguar he received as a gift from his father.
Ever since they met in 1998 at a gala Charles was hosting the two teens hit it off as their fathers, who had been friends since college, encouraged them to. Lucy being the outgoing one helped Peter not be as shy as he was when they had first met. And with Peter being the more bashful one helped Lucy become more reserved.
"Are we really going to the countryside?" Lucy asked exaggerating and giving him a glaring look as he started the engine making Lucy almost fly out of her seat. Peter chuckling said, "Why not it's not like we ever do go over there?"
"Right right." Lucy said falling back into her seat folding her arms over her chest as Peter tuned the radio to their favorite album they both enjoyed.

"So, what made you come back from Rome?" Lucy randomly asked Peter as they both laid on the plaid blanket laid out on the fields. After enjoying their peaceful dinner in the field they fed each other like they were kids with dark chocolate dipped strawberries. A favorite dessert Lucy enjoyed every time she would see Peter.
"Wow well that certainly just crossed your mind." Peter said sitting up on his elbows staring at Lucy who laid gazing at sky which formed shapes they would try and solve.
"Just wondering, it's like you came back all of the sudden." Lucy burst out plopping a strawberry into her chocolate covered lips. Peter looked down for a second running his hand over the knit blanket.
"I just couldn't get my mind off London and how all my friends and family were here while I was being made to study abroad at this age!" Peter shot out combing his fingers through his caramel brown hair.
"I know it's just what our parents expect from us. They don't understand what we really want." Lucy expressed sitting up while crossing her legs overlooking the field in front of them.
"You know what Luce?" Peter said after the seconds of silence between the two of them while they stared into the now cotton candy sky. Lucy gaining his attention looked at him with raised eyebrows.
Not wasting a second to regret his sudden affection Peters lips caught Lucy's while she leaned back a little taken back by Peters action. Once Peters hand cupped Lucy's left cheek be broke the kiss making Lucy eyes flutter open.
"That was the real reason I came back." Peter confessed while Lucy looked taken back from his sudden passion. "I never knew I liked you more then a friend until I was away and I knew I needed your laugh to fill my ears."
"Peter, I'm shocked I don't know what to say." Lucy announced as Peter smirked looking down but then looked up locking eyes with her.
"You don't have to say anything Luce. I just wanted you to know that I had feelings for you." Peter replied shyly as Lucy smiled at him trying to comfort him.
"Well, I'm glad you did because then you wouldn't have been alone." Lucy said locking lips with Peter one last time as she felt him smile once she broke it. "Then Lucy-." He began while standing up and stretching his hand for Lucy to take. "Do me the honor of dancing with me!"
"Why of course my prince." Lucy giggled taking his hand as he pulled the princess up while he reached in his pocket for his iPod.

"How was your night Lu?" Charles asked racing out from the study where Lucy stood slouched on the door with he eyes closed reminiscing the most romantic night of her 15 1/2 years.
"Affectionate." Lucy said as she made her way upstairs taking off her flats after the first few steps leaving her father speechless at the door.
"Affectionate?" Charles asked himself shaking his head as he locked the door tying the robe closer to himself. "How could a fifteen year old have a affectionate night?"
Once Lucy was in her room basically ready for bed she sat on her bed staring down at her shoes thinking of Peters image that ran through her mind. As Lucy's eyes met a photo of Diana and her children Lucy hesitated to acknowledge the photo but gently took it off the dresser and held it in her hands. Running her thumb across her mothers face Lucy told the photo, "Mum, I know you would love Peter."
As your probably have gathered I skipped about seven years. I decided that this would probably be best for this book since it has became boring of her childhood. If you disagree I would be more then glad to make another story featuring just one shots of her childhood which I think would be a great idea. Xoxo
