ꗃ⠀﹕summary ✩ Renesmee Lestrange's future was already written out the moment her brothers Rodolphus and Rabastan became loyal followers of the Dark Lord. She was expected to marry a wealthy family picked out by them. She wished to carry out her dreams of becoming an Auror instead ━ of being a pretty housewife to a man like Antonin Dolohov. It wasn't until she slowly started to connect with Sirius Black again, her best friend's older brother.

It wasn't until she slowly started to connect with Sirius Black again, her best friend's older brother. 

Regulus Black knew he lost his best friend for good. Especially to the brother he felt insecure about and chose to fight for the 'wrong' side and he had no one to blame but himself. 

He thought he was protecting her by telling Rodolphus his concerns about her secret meetings with Lily Evans in the library but instead, he made matters worse. 

After each bruise and endless torture with the cruciatus curse by her sister-in-law. Nobody moved to help her. Rodolphus was looking at her in sheer anger and disappointment. In fact, he was so repulsed by his sister's actions that he didn't stop his wife from inflicting pain. In his eyes she deserved it.

Rabastan on the other hand was actually a bit nicer than Rodolphus. 

He was very gentle with Renesmee and doted on her. She was a lot closer to him growing up. He also didn't comment or make any sign to stop Bellatrix. To him, it seemed like he had failed to educate or do better for Nessie. 

So Nessie decided right there that she'd put her happiness first rather than having her brothers decide her path for her. Regulus betrayed her trust. The person she trusted more than anything made her realize that maybe she had no place by his side anymore. Not when he's throwing his life away to serve some Dark Lord.

The two-way mirror Sirius gave her did come in handy. Nessie packed a bag and left with everything she needed except her heirloom ring on her bed and a note. 

Regulus and Nessie's friendship split and the Lestrange girl slowly started to move on leaving her best friend behind. But she knew that the moment she ran away from home their memories and everlasting moments together don't mean anything anymore. 

The news of Sirius and Nessie dating has caused an uproar at Hogwarts and throughout the sacred 28 families. 

Walburga even tried to owl them about their relationship in hopes that perhaps the Black family reputation hasn't but burned all her letters. She had the audacity to ask them to come back to the family.

Antonin wasn't so happy that his ex-fiance was with someone else. He felt more than angry because he truly did care for her in his own twisted way.

Nessie may have been alone now but at least she had Marlene, Lily, Alice, and Dorcas by her side. She's never had any real girlfriends before and found it truly refreshing. 

"She seems so much happier." Rabastan one day. He'd sometimes sneak into Hogsmeade and see how Nessie would be doing once in a while despite Rodolphus's protests.  

"Yeah, she does..." Antonin replied, jealousy written all over his face and wondering why she never seemed to act that way with him.

There was something different about Nessie. Sirius seemed to constantly be at her side no matter what, shielding her like some knight in shining armor and that's when he realized the bump. 

Rabastan's breath hitched. 

Nessie's pregnant. 

And he won't be there to be the supporting brother and uncle to his baby sister and future niece or nephew. Rabastan realized that he no longer had a part in her life anymore. When she left, the brothers had tried everything to get their little sister back, but now he truly realized that no matter what they did, Renesmee would always choose Sirius over them.
