i stare out the window of the car
and the sun is sinking in the horizon.
flickers of amber light blind me
as the trees move past.

the lush green grass glows
and the treetops light up
as they catch the last rays of golden sunlight
casting long shadows over the country hills.

the light turns into flames
reaching out for me
and the road goes on forever
as we drive off into the sunset.
