Jimmy's Perspective-

Jimmy and his father stepped out of the water, Jimmy taking the seaweed out of his hair in the process.

Eli chuckled. "Now normally, I would take a carriage to places, but our allies here do not mind us swimming."

Jimmy nodded and followed Eli through the flower field and towards the flourishing town.

Princess Katherine was outside the castle, helping put some yellow canaries in a wooden carriage pulled by a horse. She seemed very nervous and a bit sad but determined to do her duty. The knight in charge of the delivery watched as she and another villager put the caged canaries inside.

"That should be fifteen of them." Katherine said, the chirping going quiet as the carriage shut.

"Good." The knight nodded, handing a box to her. "These are the roses."

"Yes, thank you." Katherine watched as the knight rode the horse off and she nodded at the villager, who picked up the box and carried it off.

She finally turned to her royal guests and put on a smile, fixing her flower crown on her head.

"Hello Cod Father, I assume you are here to visit my parents?" She said and Eli nodded.

"Correct; are they already in the meeting room?" He asked, nodding his head towards the castle.

"Yes, they are." She led them back into the castle, glancing at Jimmy.

"Are you Prince James?" She asked and Jimmy nodded.

"Yeah, I'm joining my father on the trip today." He smiled nervously and Katherine giggled.

They all arrived in the meeting room and Jimmy sat next to his father, who was greeting Katherine's parents.

The sun shone through the stained-glass windows, perfectly lighting the room and table.

Sadly, what started out as a friendly chat turned into an argument.

"You were trading with Grimlands?" Eli raised his voice, and the king hesitated.

"Yes, I am sorry to say. They give us wither roses in exchange for the canaries we house in our orchards." He explained.

"Why do they want canaries?" Eli asked, narrowing his eyes.

"We assume to test the air in the mines."

"Of course...redstone." Eli whispered, his mind racing.

"Wait...so you're allies with us and with Grimlands?" Jimmy asked. He knew House Blossom was determined to be the middle ground for every empire, but it was annoying when it came to enemies.

Katherine nodded and Jimmy glanced at his father, who pinched the bridge of his nose in frustration.

"You know what, no this is good." Eli sighed, "I wanted to talk about this."

He folded his hands on the table and took a deep breath.

"Where do you stand if we were to go at war with another one of your allies?" Eli asked, causing Jimmy to become concerned.

This was the first time he had ever heard of any sort of war happening.

"During wars, we do not support either side more than the other." The king explained.

"Do you support either at all?" Eli asked.

"Er- no not always; we try and avoid all conflict."

"So you'd not support your allies when they are struggling so then you don't hurt yourself?"

The king flushed red, and Eli stood up.

"I appreciate all you do in House Blossom, but the truth of allies is putting yourself at risk to help those who would do the same for you." He said and nodded at Jimmy, walking out.
