Jimmy's Perspective-

By the time next Friday rolled around, Jimmy had argued with Sir Robins before shutting up and taking his quiz.

"You never told me it was a map quiz." Jimmy mumbled, standing up and taking the map from the knight.

"Oh, and I'll be showing your father your answers." Sir Robins said, handing Jimmy a quill and ink. "Good luck, Prince James." He smiled and Jimmy rolled his eyes.

He looked down at the map and grumbled, tapping his fingers on the desk mindlessly.

"Prince James." Sir Robins said sternly, and Jimmy grumbled, opening the ink and dipping his quill in before getting started.

He found The Grimlands and his empire easily before slowly moving onto the others.

About ten minutes later, he had finished (not confident in all of his answers, but quite a few) and he handed it in.

"Can I ask you something?" Jimmy asked.

Sir Robins raised an eyebrow as he took the test from Jimmy.

"May I?" Jimmy huffed and Sir Robins smirked, nodding.

"How come we don't expand into the ocean if it's so vast?" Jimmy asked. "I mean, it's right there and the map shows that it's so open- "

Sir Robins stopped in his tracks, and he hesitated.

"That, Prince James, would be a question for your father. And I'm sure he'd love to talk to you after you mixed up Rivendell and Crystal Cliffs." Sir Robins said, glancing at the map Jimmy had labeled.

Jimmy flushed red and Sir Robins chuckled.

"I'll be right back." He left the room to get the king, and Jimmy rested his head on his hand, staring out the window.

In the far horizon, the ocean gleamed brightly under the sun, and it seemed as though buildings were rising from the deep blue.

"James."

Jimmy looked up and saw his father, Eli, who was smiling softly.

"I- I know I got two wrong..." Jimmy picked at his fingernails, avoiding eye contact.

Eli sat down next to him and gently laid down the paper, where four things were circled.

"You mixed up Pixandria and Mezalea too." His father said and Jimmy blushed from embarrassment.

Eli chuckled and rubbed his son's back.

"Maybe you just need a change of perspective." Eli said and Jimmy tilted his head.

"How?"

"Well, it's clear your learning has expanded from simple textbooks. How about we talk to Simon and see if we can get you out in the field? Not fighting, but making decisions."

Jimmy's eyes widened with wonder.

"R-really?"

"Yes! And it starts with one important lesson." His father stood up and Jimmy followed.

"Taking a trip to our allies."
