I groaned, waking up, feeling a sharp pain in my shoulder, as I sat up, falling back against a couch? Bed? Either way it was comfortable, and I wanted to sleep some more.

"It's nice to see that your finally awake,  Sleeping Beauty." A soft voice said, with what I could assume was a smile. 

I opened my eyes, wincing when the bright light hit it, and squinted, seeing a woman about my age with auburn shoulder length hair, blue eyes, and slightly tan skin. As I stared at her, I seen the same gray wolf from last night appear in front of my eyes then disappeared to show the woman with a soft smile.

"How long was I out?" I asked in a raspy voice, must have been caused from my screaming, sitting up slowly, being careful with how nearly everything in my body was sore.

"A good while. The doctor wasn't sure when exactly you'd wake up with how much you lost blood from that animal attack." She said calmly, sitting in the chair beside my, I realized then that I had a hospital gown on, bed.

"It was a wolf. A large one." I said, trying to clear my throat, and I thought I seen her tense from the corner of my eye.

"Nobody seen anything near you. At least, I didn't, I'm the one who found you, and brought you here, by the way." She said with a soft, teasing smile.

"Thank you, by the way." I said, smiling, and jumped slightly when someone knocked on the door.

It opened, showing the doctor, who smiled slightly. "Glad to see your finally awake, Patrick. Wasn't really sure when you were going to wake up. Those bite marks and scratches seemed to heal exceptionally well for only being here for a day. Usually those only take a week or so to heal." He said, walking over.

"Thanks, Doc, but like I told her earlier, I seen a large wolf, and it attacked me." I said, sighing softly.

The doctor tilted his head slightly. "I don't think we have wolves here in Chicago. Maybe you just seen a large dog, and thought it was a wolf? I could see someone confusing a large Alaskan Malamute to a wolf. As well, you did lose a substantial amount of blood, so it may have caused a bit of hallucination." He said, hoping to convince me I may have been 

I just nodded, hoping it convinced him, but I knew I wasn't lying. I seen a wolf, and it attacked me I just couldn't understand why it hadn't just mauled me then and there in the park for dinner.
