There's a first for everything in life. For some, it's their first time trying a new food. For some, it's their first time getting laid. For me, it's my first time calling for a job and being hired on the spot.

The owner of the place, who said his name was Tyler, said to meet him at the rental service that night so I could go over the basic overview of the job and what it entails. So, of course, I agreed.

When I arrived at the address, I immediately felt very nervous. For one, the location was in the middle of nowhere. I'm not exaggerating, either. The only thing that surrounded the building was a parking lot and a sign. Everything else was just dirt and sky.

Fortunately, I had my gun hidden in my purse, so if anyone tries something funny, they'll get what's coming to them.

I entered the place and found only a desk, some chairs, and a door, all dimly lit by the flickering light overhead. Still nervous, I rang the bell at the desk. After that, I waited.

Looking around, I could see posters of Circus Baby and her friends littered along the walls. Maybe it was just me, but their eyes seemed fixated on me. Yeah, I know posters like this are supposed to be looking at the viewer, but even when I moved, their eyes looked like they were following me...

Suddenly, I turned back towards the desk and jumped in shock; a young man, around his mid-twenties, was behind the desk, looking at me with a smile. I hadn't even seen or heard him show up!

"Good evening," he told me as he extended his hand. "I'm Tyler. Tyler Afton."

After I collected my thoughts from that brief shock, I smiled and shook his hand.

"I'm Alice. Alice White."

"Welcome aboard, Alice! Are you excited to begin work at Circus Baby's Pizza Party Rentals?"

"As ready as I can be, I suppose."

"Great! Now, before we begin, let's do a quick orientation. If you could come back here, please."

He then pressed a button on the desk and I heard the door click, as if it unlocked. A second later, the door opened, revealing a hallway with a doorway leading behind the desk on the left and another door at the end.

I then went through the doorway and then the path on the left, where I was standing in front of Tyler. He then smiled, nodded, and pointed to a chair that was facing a small television.

"Have a seat," he told me.

I gave a polite yet nervous smile and sat down, never taking my hand off my purse. He then dimmed the lights, turned on the TV, and pressed a button on the side of it. A few seconds later, a song started playing as an image of the Circus Baby gang faded in.

"Welcome, new employee, to Circus Baby's Pizza Party Rentals!" An announcer voice said. "This informative video will give you more information on the characters you will be maintaining, so you can maximize your ability to peak them to the best of their abilities!"

"First, let's discuss our favorite story-and-joke-telling bear, Funtime Freddy!"

The screen then displayed a white and pink bear wearing a black top hat on his head and a blue bunny puppet on his right hand.

"Funtime Freddy, along with his bunny buddy, Bonnie, are programed to entertain children with humor and adventure."

The scene then changed to what looked like Funtime Freddy in front of a crowd of children.

"Hey, Bon!" Freddy told the hand puppet in a high-pitched male voice, "What do you get when you cross a fish with an elephant?"

"Gee, I don't know, Freddy!" the hand puppet replied in a voice that sounded like a little girl's, "What DO you get when you cross a fish with an elephant?"

"SWIMMING TRUNKS!"

The bear, puppet, and children all laughed at the joke.

"Oh, Freddy, you and Bonnie are one funny duo!" The announcer commented.

The scene then changed to a photo of a white and pink fox waving at the camera.

"Up next is Funtime Foxy, whose job is to encourage children to be kind and caring towards others."

The screen then displayed Foxy sitting down with a little boy on its lap.

"I love you, Foxy!" the boy told the animatronic as he hugged its chest.

"I love you, too, Foxy!" a little girl said as she ran on screen and hugged the fox, as well.

Foxy then hugged both children in return.

"Awww, isn't that a beautiful sight?" The announcer asked rhetorically.

Honestly, it came off as...creepy.

The screen changed again to what looked like a humanoid ballerina balancing on her toes, spinning in circles, hands above her head, and having her eyes closed.

"Up next is Ballora, our beautiful dancer who encourages children to dance and play until they're hungry enough for delicious pizza!"

I then saw Ballora spinning and moving around some sort of stage with a bunch of children spinning around and mimicking her. She was singing some sort of lullaby-style song and the children were trying their best to sing along. There were also some smaller ballerina robots mixed in with them, spinning in the same way.

"Good job, Ballora! You certainly know how to dance!"

Finally, I was shown the familiar-looking clown girl I had seen on the flier. She was holding a microphone in her left hand and her eyes were giving a strange glow.

"And last, but certainly not least, is the star of our attraction, Circus Baby herself! She is, for lack of a better term, the "Jack of all Trades" of the attraction. She can do everything from inflating helium balloons, taking song requests, and dispensing delicious homemade ice cream!"

I then saw Circus Baby sick a deflated balloon on her right pointer finger and slowly fill it up with helium. When it was full, she pinched it off, tied it, attached a string, and gave it to a little girl.

"Thank you, Baby!" the girl said with a smile.

"You're welcome, friend," Baby replied in a friendly voice.

The little girl then ran off with a giant grin.

"Great job, Circus Baby!" The announcer commented. "We knew we could count on you!"

The screen changed for a final time, displaying the 4 animatronics on a stage, smiling at the camera.

"This concludes your brief overview of our entertainment cast! We hope you take good care of them all, as they are a big part of many children's lives!"

The screen faded to black, with small white text at the bottom reading:

After that, the lights were brightened and Tyler turned off the TV.

"Got all that?" he asked with that signature smile.

"I think so," I replied. "Quick question, if I may."

"Shoot."

God, I kinda wanted to take that literally.

"The end said 'Afton Robotics'," I told him. "Any relation to you?"

He gave an even bigger grin and nodded.

"Yes, Afton Robotics was founded by my grandfather, William Afton. His robots were the ones used in every Fazbear Entertainment location, all the way back to Fredbear's Family Diner."

"Wow! Quite an honor!"

"Sure is! He, unfortunately, is no longer with us, but even with me in charge of the business as of today, we're still the best in animatronic entertainment!"

"I bet! I can't think of anyone else with robots as good as these ones!"

Tyler then seemed to blush as he cleared his throat and stood up straight.

"Now, then, let's get you to your station!" he told me.

I then followed him back into the hallway and he took me to the door at the end. After pressing a keypad combination, the door opened, revealing a giant cylindrical room, appearing to be an elevator. I then walked inside it while Tyler stayed out.

"Unfortunately," Tyler told me, "I cannot come down with you, since I have other business to care to. But, have no fear!"

He then reached into his pocket and pulled out what looked like a small, old-school tape recorder and gave it to me.

"This device still help you get through your nightly tasks," he continued.

I gave a small smile and accepted the device.

"Oh, and one more thing. Your purse is a safety hazard, as it could get caught in the machinery. So, I'll need you to leave it up here until after your shift."

"Oh...! O-Okay."

Then slid off my purse and gave it to Tyler.

"Don't worry; it'll be tucked away under the front desk, so you can take it after your shift."

"Thanks..."

"I think that's everything; have a good night, Alice!"

"You too, Tyler."

Tyler then smiled, pressed a button, and the elevator door closed, leaving me alone in the cylinder. A second later, it started shaking and slowly going down.

Well, this ought to be fun.
