JereMike
"Junior Jeremy Fitzgerald (running back) was found cheating on his latest boyfriend (Jay Rivera) with senior Mike Schmidt, quarterback. Caught under the bleachers after our previous home game, we couldn't reach Fitzgerald to confirm, and Schmidt threatened to give our reporter a swirly." I glanced over at Jeremy, who was watching the paper in my hands with disgust.
"I hate the school paper. It's just a bunch of people sticking their nose where it doesn't belong," he muttered, running a hand through his hair. I nodded. "I wasn't even dating Jay. He's too... clingy," he added.
"Yeah." I sighed, folding the paper up and stuffing it into the nearest recycling bin. He stood from the bench he was sitting on, coming to stand next to me. He stood a couple inches over me, leaning over to kiss my forehead. I smiled, knowing he wasn't too affectionate in public and that was probably the most I was gonna get from him.
"I'm making mac 'n' cheese for dinner if you wanna come over," I stated, looking up at him. He nodded.
"You mean your sister is making it." I nodded. "Sounds good." The third hour bell rang, and he turned to walk away. "I'll meet you at your truck, Mikey," he muttered. I nodded.
"See you after school, Jerebear." I turned, walking to my Contemporary Issues class. Not a bad class. Talked about a lot of controversial subjects, like terrorism and physician-assisted suicide. I set my bag down next to my chair by the door, my sister's bag already by her chair, next to mine.
"Hey, Dany," I said, ruffling her short auburn hair. She took more after our father, whilst I took more after our mother. But she was more like a brother than a sister. She spent a good portion of her time over the summer working on her truck and asked her best friend Scott to cut her hair really short.
"Mikey," she retorted, glaring at me out of the corner of her eye.
"Jere's comin' over for dinner. Just to let you know." The teacher walked in before she could retort, telling everyone to put their phones away.

Lunch was uneventful, Dany and her friends making jokes about each other or sex. It's funny listening to Dany make sex jokes because she's asexual, but she's clearly got the dirtiest mind. She's also tough, threatening people who so much as look at either of us the wrong way because we both identify as biromantic with preferences for our own gender.

I walked out to my truck, hopping in and plugging in my phone, letting My Kinda Night by Luke Bryan blare from the speakers as I waited for Jere. Dany had already pulled out of the lot, Salvaged by NateWantstoBattle playing from her own truck.
The passenger door opened, revealing Jere as he slid his bag off and set it on the floorboard, clambering in. I waited for him to get settled before leaning over and pressing a gentle kiss into his lips.
"Hey, Jerebear," I said, putting the truck in great and peeling out of the lot.
"Hey, Mikey," he responded, looking at me.
"Your parents know you're coming over?" He nodded.
"Yeah. I just have to be home by nine. So hopefully we can study some. Maybe get Dany to study with us, since she's in a good portion of either of our classes." I nodded.
"She might. Of course, knowing Dany, she might just hide out in her room and listen to music."
"True." I pulled into the parking lot of the apartment complex Dany and I lived in since I'd bought one after our parents died. We shared expenses, each paying certain bills. I paid the main bills, such as water, electric, and housing. She paid cable and phone bills. Parking next to my sister's truck, I slid out, grabbing my bag as Jere did the same. I locked the truck before walking to the door, holding it open for Jere. He walked in, and I stepped in, walking to the living room and dropping my bag. I flopped onto the couch, pulling my bag over and opening it. Dany was in the kitchen, boiling water for our meal.
"Hey, guys," she said as she stepped out of the kitchen.
"Hey, Dany," Jere said as he sidestepped around her. Her eye twitched before she turned around and walked back into the kitchen.
"So, since Dany's cooking, you wanna start studying?" He nodded, moving to sit next to me. "What do you wanna start with?"
"Uh... algebra?" I nodded, reaching for my bag and pulling out my College Algebra notebook. Jere, Dany, and I all had that class together.
I hesitated, looking at him. "Dany could help us a ton with algebra. It'd be best to wait for her. So... wanna start with health?" He shrugged. I knew Dany didn't have health, since she'd taken JROTC for her first two years of high school. It was like a cheat code, because since she took JROTC, she didn't have to take health or gym.

After we ate, I grabbed the dishes, tossing them in the dishwasher before walking back out to the living room.
"Hey, Dany?" I asked when I passed her in the hall.
"Yea, Mike?"
"Wanna help Jere and I with studying?" I asked. She shrugged, blinking slowly.
"I'll grab my bag, then I'll be right down." She continued making her way to her room, and I walked out to the living room.
"Dany said she'd be right down," I said. Jeremy nodded, pulling out his algebra notebook.
I sat down beside Jeremy, pulling out my own notebook.

We studied for a couple more hours, until Dany gave up on algebra, yawning.
"I'm gonna go lay down, Mikey. See you tomorrow, Jere," she said before picking up her bag and walking upstairs. I glanced at my watch, before standing myself.
"C'mon, Jere. I'll take ya home." He nodded, putting his notebook away and standing.
A/N: Actually cranked out a JereMike oneshot. I know it says 'Dany' a lot in here instead of Dan, but I set it during the first semester of my junior year, and I hadn't started using Dan until after second semester started.
