The Ballroom
Seek a Way Out
The first place I ran over to look at was the server's cart. On top was a little silver dish with a silver cover. I lifted the cover. Underneath was a small box with a combination lock. There were 4 places, each with numbers 1-6.
The next place I checked was the first table. It was fully set, like people would just waltz in for dinner any time soon. I unraveled all of the napkins to check if there was anything inside. One had a red die. On one side, in tiny letters, was the word ONE. It must be the first die for something.
The next place I thought to check was the next table. Again, I unraveled all of the napkins. Again, there was a die. This one was green, and it had the word TWO. It appeared to be the same size and weight of the red die.
I went to the third table and found a dark blue die with the word THREE on it. Next was the last table. It had the white FOUR die. "What should we do with these dice?" I wondered out loud.
"Roll them," Spider suggested. "Maybe they're weighted." I rolled all four dice. The red one displayed the number 4, the second one displayed the number 6, the third one displayed the number 1, and the fourth one displayed the number 3. I entered the numbers into the box and it clicked open to reveal a button. I pressed the button.
A noise sounded from behind me. I whirled around to see a section of the wall open up. Along with the other three in the room, I ran over to see what had just happened. Inside there was a series of puzzles. For each one you had to match the pieces together to create the shape and picture it wanted.
"There are four," Spider said. "Let's each do one." I nodded and took the one at the bottom. The pieces clicked together to reveal a heart. I slid it in place. Spider finished her puzzle, then Nueve, then Duo. A noise came from the metal door.
You Found It!
