Chapter seven: GET OUT

The sound of my subtle breathing triggered Foxy's ears to rotate in my direction and pinpoint my exact location. Not that he needed noise to find me, he could see just fine in the darkness. I pressed myself against the ship as he drew nearer. I tuck myself into a ball close my eyes tight anticipating an attack, but it never came. Dare I look up? Yes.

I cower away from his hand as he reaches for me. He extends his hand in a friendly gesture to help me up off the floor. I blink in confusion. Why isn't he killing me? I know that by the the state of the manakin, he could kill me in a heartbeat. I dare not take his hand so he tries something else and crouches down, holding out the red bandana in his hook without saying a word.
"If you really aren't going to hurt me, show me how well you can throw this dagger." Ok, that made a little more sense in my head, but if he doesn't use the knife to kill me then it will help me tell if he wants to hurt me.

The pirate raised a brow then realized what I meant. I kicked the dagger towards him and he picks it up in his good hand. He took a split second to get used to the weight before he threw it from where we were to the chest of the manakin on the other side of the room. Had I blinked, I would've missed it. He held his hand out for me again and I took it.

"I'd never dream o' hurtin' ye, lad. 'M sorry tha' ye had t' see tha'." The pirate whispers in a tone that almost sounds like he's ashamed of himself. I pick up the flashlight so I can see my path to the exit, but as soon as it turns on Foxy shrinks away from the sudden light covering his eye and letting go of my hand. "I'll guide ye out, lad. Please don't use tha' godforsaken light." I turn the light off and darkness washes over the Cove. I can't see a thing.

He takes my hand and I pull myself up off the floor. I have to trust Foxy won't make me walk into something. As the tiniest sliver of light seeps in through the curtain when we are about to leave, I stop and take another look at the children's drawings. The more pictures I showed him, the more anxiety I could sense coming from the fox.

"These kids, they loved you. Why are you still out of order?" I ask quietly looking over at him. His yellow eye shone with sadness... then anger. He didn't answer and simply left. I followed him outside to find the other animatronics including Goldie waiting for me with their heads hung low.

"We didn't want you to see that, you can't tell anyone about what you have seen. No one may know that we're even alive." Freddy said grimly.
"Should've stayed in the kitchen." Bonnie murmured while Chica went to see what's up with Foxy.

He was drumming his fingers on the table he was sat at and he was twitching more so than usual. He walked back over to me, but went right past me. His eye gleamed like it was on fire, fueled with hatred and hostility. He glances at the sign outside his beloved Cove that claims he is 'Out of order' and carves new words into it with his hook so it now reads; 'GET Out'. He stormed into Pirate Cove, took one look at the children's drawings and tore down half the display. He whipped his head around to see me, face twisted into a savage snarl with his eye patch flicking up. I expected to see another white eye with a yellow iris, but was greeted by the sight of a jet black eye with a glowing white iris. I find myself hiding behind Goldie, ever so slightly afraid of Foxy's destructiveness. The golden bear took one worried look at me before disappearing into thin air. Meanwhile, the pirate had kicked over anything in his path to sit at the highest point of his ship, alone. Freddy hurried me away with great urgency.

Author's note: Blimey! That chapter was a lot longer than the others, but I had to get that little piece of drama in!
