"So tell me about last night?" Laura asks immediately when she catches the sight of me in the kitchen wearing Tristian's shirt.
I hear a groan which was Tristian who was sitting on the kitchen chair, sipping his coffee. "So you're the one who gave her this idea," Tristian tells and Laura gives him a devilish grin. I shake my head at Laura before settling on the chair.
Tristian looks entirely too gorgeous sitting directly across from me, and more than once my mind drifts to the way his licked me in between my legs last week. I have to wonder if he still thinks about it the way I do, but I can't gauge, because he's said baby steps. Damn me! Why did I have to keep such a rule? Now it's like I digged my own pit.
I brush off my thoughts when Terry comes and sits beside Tristian. Terry's eyes meets mine and he immediately grins. "You were loud last night," he tells. My face turns red, I bite my lip looking at Tristian.
"We didn't even do it," I mutter when Laura sits beside me. I hear Terry laugh.
Tristian hits him on the arm. "Don't tease her." His eyes softened and he reached out a hand. I place my hand on his and gives it a light squeeze. I slowly pull my hand away and he winks at me.
"Hey, sexy, we're ready to play Dirty Riddles. Are you joining?" Laura asks Tristian who nods his head in approval.
"No, I'm not gonna play," I tell her and she glares at me.
"You agreed yesterday and said that we can play today," she grumbles and I sigh.
"Fine."
"I'll start," Laura raises her hand before tucking her hair strand behind her ear. I still can't believe I changed her shampoo for a prank. Her hair is still violet and to be frank, she looks cute. "I'm spread out before being eaten. Your tongue gets me off. People sometimes lick my nuts. What am I?"
"I know this one!" Terry cry.
"You majored in this one," Tristian scoffs, and Terry ruffles Tristian's hair.
Flashing Tristian a look, I lick my lips and the corner of his mouth quirks up. I love teasing him.
"All right, baby, what is it?" Laura asked Terry who was slightly taken back by her calling him 'baby.'
"Peanut butter!" As soon as the answer was said, it was obvious to everyone.
"No way! I can never eat them again without thinking about sex," Tristian growl and I totally agree with him.
"My turn," Terry tells. "What gets longer if pulled, fits snugly between breasts, slides neatly into a hole, chokes people when used incorrectly, and works well when jerked?"
Dammit! I can't help but think about last night.
"Seatbelt," Laura cries out. This is ridiculous, I can't sit here anymore. I immediately get up from the chair and move towards the kitchen.
Laura and Terry has not noticed my absence because they're too busy with their dirty riddles but there was one guy who always noticed my presence and absence.
I pour the chocolate cake batter which I prepared earlier into the pans when a warm mouth meets my neck. His hand darts around me and he dips his finger into the batter. Before he can lick it off, I grab his wrist and bring his finger to my mouth. His eyes bore into mine as I suck it between my lips, licking every drop of chocolate away. "Tristian," I moan.
A small growl escapes him as I palm his growing cock through his jeans, giving his finger one last hard suck. "I'm blowing you tonight."
"Let's go," he says, pretending to drag me away.
Laughing, I slap his chest. "After everyone's in bed!"
One of his arms unwound from behind me so his hand could cup my jaw. With his thumb stroking my cheek and his fingers threaded into my hair, he whispered, "You're so sweet, and sexy at the same time. I can't wait to taste you again."
My knees buckled. They actually buckled. The heat from his chest was radiating against my breasts and my heart started pumping double time. When Tristian and I were close like this, my body's reaction was completely out of my control. I wanted him with a wildness I'd never felt before.
The throbbing between my legs wasn't just a dull twinge, it was a fierce and desperate ache. It took every ounce of willpower not to unwind my hands from his waist and move them to the button on his jeans.
He suddenly pulls away from me and his hand goes to his hair. "It's better if I stay a bit far from you. I can't go to hospital with a hard-on," he drawled. "So what're you planning today? Other than roaming with Laura?"
I shake my head. "I have to finish baking, today is the day to give the test cake. After that I have to go to a store to buy a gift for Troy. I maybe angry at him but still I never missed buying a birthday gift for him on his birthday. You don't have a problem with that, do you?" I ask him and I see his body freeze slightly. Did I say something wrong?
"Troy's birthday?" he asks.
I nod my head. "Yeah, it's next week."
His eyes widen fractionally as I stare up at him, but beyond that his expression and stance don't change. He closes his eyes and his whole body relaxes. When he opens his eyes, I can see hurt in them. "It's okay, you can buy him the gift. I'll never stop you from doing something you want to do." He smiles and I relax knowing that he's okay with it. "I have to go to hospital," he tells, turning on his heels and strolls away to our bedroom upstairs.
Why do I feel like I hurt him? He's okay with it but something tells me he's not exactly okay.
I place the batter in the oven and sets the timer. I remove my apron which is tied around me and places it on the kitchen counter. I hear the sound of footsteps, I see Tristian walking out without even saying a goodbye. I move towards the hall to see Terry joining Tristian in the car.
I turn towards Laura who looks confused. I sit beside her on the couch. "Why did Terry suddenly run behind Tristian?" she asks. I shake my head not knowing the answer.
"I told him I was going to buy gift for Troy on his birthday and I asked whether it's okay for him or not." Laura's eyes widens.
"Seriously woman? How can you be such a fool?" she asks, hitting him on the arm.
"What? Is that wrong that I asked him?"
She glares at me. "Miaaa, if it's Troy's birthday next week then when is Tristian's birthday?"
My mouth fell open. If it's Troy's birthday then definitely it's Tristian's and Terry's birthday too. Dammit, I forget that it's Tristian's birthday but remembered that it's Troy's birthday. I immediately stand up and grab my phone from the kitchen counter. I call Tristian but he doesn't pick up. I text him but no answer.
"Mia, relax. Give him time, it's gonna be fine." Tears rolls down my eyes when Laura wraps her arms around me to support me.
"I hurt him."
"What. The. Fuck."
Ridiculous. My imagination was now conjuring up Tristian's voice. Depression had turned into delusion.
"Mia."
Couldn't I have imagined up a happy Tristian? Of course I wouldn't because the last time I was him, he was angry at me and I couldn't blame him. It was all my fault.
Ace barked and abandoned the spot by my bed where he'd been keeping me company for the past few hours. He'd been jumpy and excited for the last few minutes so I'd covered my head with a pillow and ignored him. I guess he was getting sick of me just lying around. Whatever. He doesn't know how much a broken heart hurts. Does dog have heart? Of course they have it too but definitely it wouldn't be broken like the one of humans.
The door of my bedroom was cracked open so I wouldn't have to get out of bed during the day. What was he barking about?
I pulled the corners of the pillow tighter and shoved my nose into my bed. The dog could pester me all he wanted. I wasn't getting up until Laura comes. She insisted to stay with me but I sent her away as she should be there for the wedding. It's her second wedding planning so she shouldn't miss it and I'm sure she has plenty of work to do.
Another bark and I'd just about had it. What was wrong with this dog? Couldn't he leave me to my wallowing in peace?
"Mia." Tristian's voice wouldn't leave me alone either. No more barking. No more angry voices. I needed quiet so I could relish in my misery.
I tugged the pillow down further but it was yanked from my hands. I gasped and turned, only to see two beefy legs planted next to my bed. My eyes traveled up the denim thighs, the narrow hips, the flat stomach and wide chest to the scowl waiting at the top.
"What the fuck," Tristian repeated. So he is really here.
"Huh?"
"You heard me. What the fuck? What's with this old song playing and chocolate wrappers lying on the floor? Why're your eyes red? What is going on? You're a wreck."
"I..I'm sorry."
"What's going on?" His tone had completely shifted from hard and terse to soft and concerned.
"Shhhh." Tristian's arms engulf me as a sob climbs up the back of my throat and my body jerks forward. "Relax, Love," he whispers, and I cry harder into his chest. Scooping me up into his arms, he carries me out of the room to the living room and settles us on the couch, with me in his lap. "Please calm down. The tears are killing me."
"I... I di-didn't me... mean... to..to...hu..hurt you," I cry, and his hand on my back rubs in soothing circles.
"It's okay, relax."
"Everything will be okay, but please stop crying. I don't like it."
"I stop crying!" I sob, and his mouth drops to my ear, placing a kiss there.
"Love, it's alright. I was upset but it's okay. I can understand, we know each since what? Hardly two to three weeks. He was with you for almost two years."
"This is not about knowing each other. I was an idiot. It was just common sense and I didn't have that," I admit quietly, and he body shakes in silent laughter.
He leans back, smiling down at me, then places a soft kiss against my lips. "Have you eaten?"
"No, unless you count the chocolates."
"Good, me either, let's go." He grabs my hand and starts to lead me away, but I stop him.
"Where are we going?"
"Pizza, I'm starving."
"Okay," I agree, letting him lead me out of the house to his car that is parked in the driveway.
Once we are both in and buckled, he backs out of the drive and heads down one street after another. "You're not mad?" I ask softly as he pulls up in front of the pizza place and parks diagonally in one of the empty spots.
"No," he admit, and he sighs, shutting down the car, opening the door, and getting out. Releasing a deep breath, I open my door and meet him in front of the car before he can make it to me. "Just because you made a small mistake doesn't mean that you're an idiot. Nothing in this world can make me run away from you unless you want it," he says, but the way his brow has furrowed says more than his words do. Brushing his lips over mine quickly, he takes my hand and leads me into the pizza place.
