Anna Nikolaou

Lukas woke up too early for him the next day. Nine o'clock is considered too early for summer. He took the empty can of beer next from his bed and the ten others that were left next to Stratos and threw them to the garbage. He went out of his trailer opened his phone and saw a message from Helen. That was weird she never texts him.

He took his bike and went to her trailer. Well, he knew that this story would make her focus on him, she might like Nick, Lukas has seen her many times checking him out. It is too bad to have a handsome friend, he just makes you be the ugly one, even if you try your best to look good. Now he is on the way to her house ALONE. "How come?" Lukas thought. "Maybe Helen isn't that attracted to Nick as I thought..."

He reached Helen's trailer. She was sitting outside on their table, wearing an orange top shirt and some shorts. Her blond hair was shining by the sun. She turned to him and smiled. "Hey Luke" she shouted, but immediately regretted it, understanding that everyone was still sleeping. "I thought we could go swimming. We discovered a new beach with Elina two days ago, it's really nice" she said whispering this time as Luke went closer.

"Sure why not," said Lukas with a smile on his face "Hey Helen, why didn't you call someone else too?" he asked. "Well you know, we never do something the two of us, I thought it was a nice, idea," she said raising her shoulders, "now come on let's go before its too late" he grabbed his hand and she started walking to the exit of the camping.

They never did something together. Maybe Luke had a shot. You don't take someone to a beach for no reason, if she liked Nick she would have screwed Luke up in the first place, turns out he was worried about nothing. They walked for about three minutes and they entered a hole from some fences. "Are you sure we can enter?" Luke asked worriedly. "Yes relax, it's just an empty field," Helen said laughing. They walked for a minute more and they ended up on a small beach. It was hidden by rocks that left a small entrance where the water came and go. The pine trees all around turned the sea colour into a green-blueish colour, just like Helen's eyes.

Helen left her towel on the ground. She took off her shirt and her shorts. Lukas had sat on the Sand and he was enjoying the scenery. With that being the beautiful beach and Helen's body in a bikini. Helen leaned down caressed his sharp cheekbones and told Lukas to stop staring at her and take off his clothes. He took off his shirt, revealing the abs and chest he was training for a year to create and he jumped into the water. " Are you working out?" Helen said, already knowing the answer, touching Luke's chest. "You tell me" he answered. "And it's not that fair for only you to touch" he went for the back of her bikini

"Cut that off you stupid," Helen said trying to hide the fact that she enjoyed it. That was the closest he could get that day but he didn't want to be the "nice guy" and she seemed into him, especially after they had entered the water. The time passed fast and they had to leave. They were going to ask Ms Anna what had happened thirty years ago at eleven and Lukas said he would be there to prove them he was right. "That was nice, and the beach is really beautiful" Helen smiled back, while she was drying her long hair with the towel. They returned to the camping and went straight to ms Annas trailer. They were the last to go, making some to comment.

"You are late," Nick said, looking Lukas in the way he looks him when he wants to tease him about something. Nick knocked on the door. Ms Anna was always sleeping till noon but she didn't bother seeing the crowd of kids in her doorstep. "Well, what do we have here" she smiled.

Ms Anna was in her mid-fifties, close to retirement. She was thin and had some weird wrinkles at her face, she looked much older than she actually was. Other than that she had a really warm face, especially when she smiled. She didn't have any children, but she loved them when they were eight she used to hide candy behind her trailer in a basket for children to take them if they didn't like their lunch.

"Can I help you?" Ms Anna asked. "Well... yes" said Jim. "Our friend told us a story about a guy who was killed about thirty years ago here. Is it true?" "You shouldn't go around asking about Andrew" her face changed to a cold one as quick as Jim started talking, "I think... I think you should leave children" she closed the door, she was really upset. "Leave the crazy woman alone" they heard Mr Abraamopoulos from across the street. "Kids it's all true, dark times, really dark. I was in my mid-thirties then and I remembered my mother telling me from the phone that they might even close the camping. Anastasis, the last owner sold the camping and never came back. I think they closed only the place where the man died and the surrounding area" he scratched his hairy stomach and continued grilling.

"So I've proven to you that the story is real," Lukas said proudly. "Now what are we going to do, " Jim asked. "Well I don't know about you, but I'm heading home, maybe we will meet later today again" he looked at Helen, she blushed. "Seems like there's nothing else going on so we are heading home," Helen said and the small crowd left. Nick and Jim stayed there, after all, miss Anna lived opposite to them."I didn't like the look on Ms Annas face Jim" "I know, maybe we should return in the evening and see if she is ok. For now what about going to the beach, eh Nick?" "Yeah sure". Nick said and the boys left too, leaving Ms Annas yard empty and her mind and heart ready to explode.

Luke returned home, he found his mother set up for lunch. "Oh Lukas, oh Lukas, you leave you come and no one knows where you've been. Your father would be furious if I didn't tell him you were at the beach" "Don't worry mum, I'm not going out of the camping or something" clearly a lie "Go and wash your hands we're eating" Lukas went inside, turned left and entered the small bathroom the trailer has. Normally they use the public bathroom for everything, but he was just washing his hands. He closed the door behind him and went to his bed. "Wake up" he pushed Stratos quite hardly. "You are lucky you can beat me..." Stratos said as he was still sitting on his bed, adjusting to the sunlight. Luke might have been two years younger, but he was almost as tall as his brother and clearly in better shape, not drinking much, sleeping normal hours. "What time is it?" Stratos asked, now becoming more aware of his surroundings. "Two, now get dressed and act like you didn't sleep at six, we're having lunch"

His father had returned from the village, bringing with him half the super-market. "Now sit everyone, Voula what are we having for lunch?" "I've made some chicken..." The three men looked at her terrified. "...with french fries." she finished the sentence taking away the stress and agony from their faces. "I cannot cook the foods I make you in the city, I don't have neither the courage nor the equipment to do so" The food was served and the family started to eat. "So..." Anestis, Luke's father, started talking "first-day camping, with all your friends here, what have you done today boys?" "Not much," Stratos said fast, ending the questioning for him "but I'm sure Lukas had an exciting day, didn't you Luke?" he said turning to him. "Actually it was quite good, I went to the beach in the morning and afterwards we passed by Jim's trailer" Not a lie at all, he went to a beach and met Jim and the others, he just hid some information under the carpet.

They finished their food and Luke helped him mother clean the table, he placed the dishes on a tray and headed to the tabs, where campers wash their clothes and dishes. The tubs were a kiosk next to the bathrooms, with a white cement wall that reaches your shoulder. inside, both the walls and the floor were covered with white square tilling. All around the walls, there was a huge metallic box, in which the water flow once you opened one of the dozen tubs they were. Before doing anything he opened his phone and texted Helen

- Wanna hang out in the afternoon?-

-Sorry I can't, I have something important how about tomorrow?-

That was frustrating, at the beach she had shown good signs and now this, maybe she actually did have something important to do, something that couldn't wait, after all, she asked him to meet her tomorrow. He focused himself on washing the dishes, while occasionally greeting some passing by campers that he knew. After finishing cleaning he left everything on the tray he had and went next door to the showers. The room was just like the tubs, but at this the walls were high, leaving just a little opening on the top, just before the wooden roof, for the hot steams to leave. In the place of tubs, the one side was full of showers, and on the other side, there were some benches, for campers to leave their clothes. He opened his bag and took out a towel and a shampoo bottle. He stripped his clothes off and opened the first door.

He went outside half an hour later. After all Luke knew how to make time pass fast. He wore his clothes again and left the room, before heading back to the trailer he passed from the tubs again to pick up his tray. He entered the kiosk and froze still. On the main camping road, Helen was walking, towards the direction of their trailer. Was THAT‌ the thing she had to do? Curiosity killed the cat but Luke was so eager to find out that he followed her all the way to his trailer. Helen was still on the main street and then he saw her turn to her right, where Nick's trailer was, he swept quietly and hid behind ms Anna's trailer. She wasn't there to see Nick, neither him. Instead, Helen walked towards the trailer he was hidden, knocked on the door. "Miss Anna, I need to talk to you," Helen said as she went inside.

Nick was laying on the beach when Luke arrived. "Hey bro, you seem worried," Nick said. "You too, what happened?" Luke didn't want to start talking about Helen, he knew he was already becoming pretty annoying to Nick and Jim. "You know who texted me?" Nick asked. "Danae," he said and sighed. Danae was Nick's ex. They were dating for four months and Nick was really devoted to her. However, to Danae's view, Nick was more or less a handsome guy, who could raise her social status in the city. "Forget about her Nick," Luke said. "This story lasted too long, it's time to move on" Nick starred at the sand in his feet and thought. "How fast could you move on if you had broken up with Helen?"

Nick had hit him where it hurt him most. He knew he was really far away from a breakup, hell they were not even together. "She used you" he finally said. "...it was really painful, I am sure. But please, I beg you cut her out of your life" Nick responded with a smile, assuring Luke he wasn't going to let her crawl back. They stayed on the beach, gazing at the horizon, enjoying the quiet afternoon

That's part two. I believe that this story would reach somewhere to 20 chapters. Idk why I am still posting. Anyways if someone sees it I hope you'll have an awesome day :)
