Thanks
Dear diary,
I went to Paper Hand and they said that they'd let me join if I wanted! Apparently I can't while the show going on is in session, which is still for a little while longer, but afterwards they'll take me. They said that they've never turned down a volunteer, so I don't get what Olive meant. Maybe she didn't want me to join, but I don't know why that would be; I think she legitimately likes me, so what would the point be in telling me they wouldn't take me? Does she think I'm not hippie enough?
Well, she could think that. She hasn't seen the dresser drawer I have dedicated entirely to tie-dye.
I've decided that I'm not going to be anything but myself to them, and if they decide that they don't like me, then I'll leave. I really like them, but I realized with them that it's important to be yourself, not who everyone wants you to be. If you can be both, then I tip my nonexistent fedora to you.
I should get a fedora. Ellie has one, and it's pretty great.
Andromeda's crush on Nick has dimmed, and he hasn't made a move. I'm starting to lose hope in them. They're both pretty great, but they're like peanut butter and jelly. They're better together.
I'm banana, I think, and Nick and I were the peanut-butter-and-banana sandwich. Okay, but nowhere near as good as the peanut butter and jelly.
Kimberly
