The dream quickly darkens,

And your demons cause some harm.

Alora was walking the children home, and soon she had all of them at their homes. She began walking back, listening to music with one earbud. She hummed along with the song as she walked. She was halfway home when a car slowly drove next to her. She went to the side of the sodewalk away from the road and quickly texted Adwin.

Alora: There's a car following me.

Adwin: Where r u?

Alora: I'm at the place where the sunset is really pretty.

Adwin: U mean Avisi Road? I'm coming.

Alora: k.

Alora was starting to feel a bit skittish, since the car was still following her. Watching it from the corner of her eye, she began to walk faster. 

The car went faster.

It was definitely following her.

The window rolled down.

"Want a ride home?" A man with sunglasses and a black hoodie said.

Alora thought for a second. "Maybe- STRANGER DANGER!" She threw somerocks in her pocket at him and ran. Surprised, the man slammed on the brakes and ducked to avoid the rocks. By the time he had looked up, Alora had hidden in the top of a tree.

"Son of a b****", he muttered, angrily looking for her. Alora silently watched him. Then, Adwin came running down the road and noticed her in the tree. She pointed at the man, and he nodded.

"Hey, who're you? You're new here."

The man immediately stopped and acted innocent. "Oh, I'm just looking for my girlfriend."

Alora's eyes widened as she realized who this was.

A few years ago...

Alora ran to her boyfriend with some flowers.

"Aren't they pretty?"

He snorted and crushed them. "They're as disgusting as you are."

Alora's face was blank as she packed, remembering the hurtful words of her now ex boyfriend. She was getting ready to leave. Finishing her packing, Alora ran to her car and drove away to start a new life in a new town with new people, and maybe find a new love.

Back in the present...

Alora quietly gagged in disgust. Adwin noticed, then said, "How long have you been looking?"

"Years."

"She's probably moved on. Sorry, buddy, but you just need to know when to stop."

The guy snorted in disgust. "Why should I give up? She ran away, and I want to find her, I need to bring her back."

(Slight violence [a small fight], please read with caution)

Alora silently dropped down behind him. Face emotionless, she walked close behind, then punched him hard in the back of the head, knocking him over.

"I am not your girlfriend, I have no interest. I don't want to ever see you again." Her face was twisted into an angry snarl, scary and very different from th normal Alora. Adwin stepped back in fear, horror present on his face.

"If I ever see you again, I will rip your throat out and throw you off a cliff. Leave me alone, or you will go through a living h***." She stomped on his stomach, digging the heel of her shoe into his abdomen. "Got it?"

"I-I'll leave you a-alone, just l-let me go, please!"

Alora grinned a sadistic, cold smile. She laughed a little.

"I-I'll leave."

(Fight's over, it's fine now.)

Alora immediately went back to normal. "Thank you!" She said happily, walking over to Arden. The man ran as fast as he could to his car and drove away.

"A-Alora?" Adwin asked, still scared.

"What?" She asked.

"What the f*** was that!?"

Alora winced. "I'm sorry. It's just... He was my best friend, but when he and I got into a relationship, he changed. He used me. He was horrible, nothing like the friend I once had. Sometimes, I wonder if it was really him."

Adwin nodded. "...Sorry. I didn't mean to freak out like that."

Alora smiled. "I'm sorry too. I wish you never had to see me like that."

Adwin smiled. "Let's go home, Adeline is waiting for you."

Alora nodded, smiling. "Yeah."

Hand in hand, the two walked home. They had eliminated the threat. Adwin looked at the smiling Alora.

That was her... That couldn't have been, but that was her...

"Is something wrong?" Alora asked, frowning.

"No, it's nothing. Don't worry." Adwin smiled.
