Special Gift
It was a very cold night, but Ollie Kippe was very warm in his small cottage. He was on the couch, in front of a fire, cuddling the love of his life, Alicia.
Oh how he loved Alicia. They were opposites as one would say. She had long tan hair, and he has short black hair. She had beautiful green eyes, and he had boring dark blue eyes. She was very outgoing and kind, but Ollie would rather stick to himself and read. But he loved her anyways.
He held her close, savoring every second they had together. They were married not to long ago, making Alicia Fletcher into Alicia Kippe, wife of Oliver Kippe. He thought himself to be the luckiest man in the word, which he still believes. It was a true gift to marry someone as wonderful as Alicia.
He looked at the fire, which danced happily before them. He felt very calm and content. He wished everything could stay this way. But everything changes one way or another, so Ollie just tried to hold Alicia close enough to never let her slip away.
That was maybe three months ago. Ollie still deeply cared for Alicia, so he waited patiently on the couch as his wife, who was pacing anxiously, tried to think of a way to announce something.
"Just tell me Ali. I won't think anything of it, I love you after all." He said cooly with a smile.
She just sighed, fixing her tan hair back into its bun, then stood attentively in front of him. "Alright," she said. "Here I go..."
Ollie waited a few more seconds as Alicia took a deep breathe before blurting out what she wanted to say.
"We're having a baby!" She said hurriedly, finishing with a wide smile and scared, expecting eyes.
Ollie thought he knew his wife better than anyone, and was able to read her very well. They had been dating for a long time before they were married, but were close friends even before that. But he would never had expected that. He couldn't find any words. Even if he did, they would come out. He just stared in amazement at the brunette before him.
Ollie hugged her tightly, beginning to cry. This is what they had always wanted, a little family. Alicia hugged back, laughing a bit at how she could have done that better with the news.
They held each other for a while, and Ollie was back in that sweet area he had felt those months ago. The feeling of utter happiness, to the point he was going to burst. He wanted to kiss Alicia, but he didn't want to loosen the hug, so they stayed in that little bubble of love and joy.
Two days after, they went to spread the news. They had a very homey and nice neighborhood, everyone knew each other, and everyone was friends. They told everyone they knew, and a few others. Ollie bragged on how he was able to get with someone as beautiful as Alicia. Alicia bragged about how she was finally having the family she'd always wanted with someone she deeply loved.
They then stayed in their bubble for a long time. A long time of excitement, laughing, smiling, and hugging. That was, until Ollie went out a few months later.
Ollie went to go catch up with some old college friends that just happened to be in town. He thought of how many things he needed to tell them. Alicia, the baby, the new house. So many things had changed since the good old days.
But when he got to the bar they would meet at, he didn't see his friends. In fact, this bar was empty. Did I see the open sign? Ollie asked himself. Maybe I walked into the wrong one, and this one is closed...
But, someone stepped out from behind the bar. It was a tall man. He had dirty blonde hair and green-gray eyes. He wore a loose clothes that brought out his muscular arms. This person was someone vaguely familiar to Ollie, but he couldn't exactly put his finger on it. That is, until he spoke.
"It good to see you again, Oliver." Said the man, a tint of a Russian accent hidden in his speech.
Oh no. Ollie tried to back away, but he didn't hit the door, he hit another strong man, this one shorter, and with silver hair and light brown eyes. The raven stepped back to the middle of the room after realizing he was surrounded.
"Listen, guys. I don't know what you want from me, but..."
Ollie trailed off as he looked at one of the men. Red hair. A green eye, the other covered by an eye patch that had a scar coming from underneath. He was shorter than the others, but definitely the worst.
"You know what we want." Said the short red-headed one. When Ollie's face didn't change from fear and confusion, he explained with a smirk. "Your wife is expecting, is she not?"
Ollie knew now. "No, please. Don't do anything to Alicia, I'm begging you!"
"Oh, we don't want her." Said the dirty blonde one.
"We want the baby." Spat the one that guarded the door.
Ollie had never felt more helpless. He knew these guys. They can do anything. They had inhumane abilities and wouldn't get in trouble for using them. They were killing machines without any laws to abide by. They made Ollie terrified.
"No... please..." he whispered, only now realizing how small he was compared to them. He hadn't really grown since the last time they've seen one another.
"Oh, you have no choice." Said the red-head. "You give us the baby, or we kill it, and her. The choice is all yours, Oliver."
Ollie wanted to scream. He wanted to run away. He wanted to take down the men that dared to threaten his wife and child. But he didn't. He couldn't. Not only was he much weak than them, but his legs had him stuck in place.
"Is this because I left you?" The raven asked meekly.
The silver-haired one chuckled. "You think we are doing this for you? What good are you now? You have softened, and settled down. This has nothing to do with you."
"Let's just say, we have a need for a nice... strong child. And your baby will be the perfect fit." Said the red-head with a smile.
"Oh no..." Ollie didn't want to imagine the things they could do. "You aren't going to turn them into one of you..."
"Oh, but we are. He will be the strongest weapon the world has ever seen." Marveled the dirty blonde.
Ollie finally gave in. He couldn't get out of this. They wouldn't harm his child, so it was maybe the best thing he could do. He loved this child, even if it didn't exist yet. Ollie would get the best for it.
"Okay. But at least let me supervise." Ollie reasoned. And they surprisingly agreed, and left Ollie. But, as they were filing out, the red-headed one turned.
"If you set us up, Kippe, I will make sure that not only the girl dies, but we will kill her very slowly. The whole country will know it was the evil Rallo that killed her."
