Starting note: This contains severe spoilers from the manga that explains titan shifters, including a limit on the time they can hold the power. This is also a bit angsty... so read at your own risk.

(Y/n)'s POV:

I sigh as I check the date with a single tear rolling down my cheek. I stand up and get dressed walking to Hange's office, knocking before entering with permission.

"Oh! (Y/N). What are you doing here?" She asked with a concerned look for their resident titan shifter as she saw her start to cry. "H-hange, I don't know how to tell you this... but I'm dying. I'll be dead before the month ends." I said softly taking deep breaths causing her to shoot up from her seat.

"What do you mean?! You aren't sick so what could possibly kill you?" She asked with wide eyes before holding up a hand. "Let's go to Erwin's office and have Levi there as well so you can tell all of us, okay?" She asks causing me to nod.

~~TIME SKIP~~

I was wringing my hands out as I was the center of attention in Erwin's office. Levi sat next to me, extremely concerned when he saw the tear marks on my cheeks. Hange stood beside Erwin with a sad smile. "(Y/N), go on and tell Erwin and Levi what you told me before I interrupted you to tell them." She said causing me to cry more.

"I-i'm dying. By the end of the month, I will be dead." I say and Levi's eyes widened and he let out a shaky breath. "W-what do you mean?" He asked with a scared look in his eyes.

I sigh and look down. "It's Ymir's curse..." I trail off causing the trio to stare at me. "As you guys know, I'm from outside the walls and I was very confused on how I got here. Well, I'm from the country Marley, where Eldians (the race that occupies the walls), are treated like shit and you were forced to join the military at as young as five years old... my parents refused so they kind of got taken away amd I had to live with my grandparents who trained me to be who I am today." I pause and Hange raised an eyebrow.

I take a settling breath and continue my story. "As I got older, I acted out, working hard to get people to treat us with equality, which got me turned into a mindless, or pure, titan until I ate the girl that shot me with the serum which caused me to become a titan shifter." I say watching Hange eagerly write notes.

I sigh and smile as I get to the subject that bothers me the most. "After I bit into her, and her spinal fluid injested, I emerged as a human and instantly had memories, the main one being that I only had thirteen years left to live..." I trail off seeing Levi tense. "So you're saying, your titan side is killing you?" He asked and I couldn't look Levi in the face as I felt the tears fall down my cheeks.

"So... you're going to be dead before the new cadets arrive?" Levi asked and I nodded. "There is another Titan shifter, I met him when I got inside the walls. Grisha Jaeger, but his time already passed. I'm sure he gave the power to his son." She said softly with a sad smile. "I want you to teach him all I have taught you, Hange. Teach him the history of the titans, how to control his powers, and the truth of the walls." I say and I see Levi and Erwin stare at me. "You've known the history of the titans and the truth of the walls?" Erwin asked causing me to nod. 

"I also know that the Colossus and Armored Titans are human." I say causing them to stare at me. "Do you know who?" Levi asked and I shook my head. "I'm older than them by a lot, Levi. I'm your age. They are from Marley, they have to of been around eleven when the walls were first breached." I explain and they stare in horror. "Look in the body types and compare them to the titans. The Titan forms are close to physical appearance." I explain and they nod. I take a deep breath. "Levi, would you want to take my Titan form?" I asked causing Hange and Erwin to stare at me in shock.

"You can do that?" She asked and I nodded. "Levi will have to be turned into a pure Titan and eat me, injesting my spinal fluid." I say and Levi takes a deep breath. "I think I'd rather stay alive and keep you in my memories for as long as possible." He said softly looking away. I nod and lean against him.

After two weeks of memory making between the four that was in the office that day, (Y/N) (L/N) had passed away with a large smile on her face, she just hoped that someone within the walls gained her ability and not a Marleyan.
