Sky's POV....

"Sky? Sky, sky are you even listening?"Jake shouted jerking me out of my thoughts.

"Yeah- yeahh you were talking about some group chat and invitation." I answered him just picking whatever I heard while he was talking non-stop.

"Yeah so you'll definitely go with us right?" He asked raising his eyebrow giving me knowing smirk.

"Umm where exactly are we going?" I questioned after seeing that childish expression on his face.

"I knew it, you were not listening to me and I'm not repeating myself again." Jake said with a girlish sigh.

"Oh okay then I will tell kiran that how much you liked her dress and how small her hands are, and---"

"Okay okay, I, I give up don't you dare tell her anything. I, I was just talking about facts that- that yellow color looks good on her and her hands are way too small okayy these are facts- F.A.C.T.S." Jake blurted out going full red like a tomato with his little facts.

I laughed out loud on his reaction. This boy is heads over heels for Kiran, talking about her all the time. These two got so close in these past two weeks that they even exchanged numbers and chat with each other all the time.

"So about invitation, where are we going?" I questioned him raising one eyebrow giving him a mischief smirk.

He looked pissed and I'm loving it way too much.

"I was talking about a group chat earlier when you were in your precious day dreams." He said more like mocked me with his hidden taunt.

"I exchanged numbers with Winter so he was talking about a house warming party at his place tomorrow. It's been 2 weeks since we all started talking and hanging out together so his mom wants to meet us." He explained.

"And Winter asked me if he can add you, me and Azalea in some group chat that he, Precious and Kiran already have so we all be up to date on our plans."Jake added.

"House warming party, group chat, friends." I said slowly more like in a whisper. "We surely starting to live like normal teenagers Jake." I chuckled softly smiling a little.

"You are smiling Sky woah, now I can say that yeah dude we are surely starting to behave like normal teenagers."Jake said graining like an idiot that he is.

And then bursting our normal teenage time. We heard something moving behind the trees. Getting on guard and ready in our position. No one comes to this part of the woods it's out of bounds.

Footsteps are getting closer and closer.

"I'm shifting to sense who's there." Jake reported me while running behind a bush to shift.

After few seconds a big shining black panther appeared from behind the bushes. Moving his head, ears and sniffing around to locate the intruder.

"Can you tell who it is? A familiar smell?"I asked Jake he moves his head left and right to explain to me. No it's not someone we know.

"Okay let's find out who it is then shall we." I said removing my button up shirt hanging it around my waist.

Jake started to move forward while I am behind him.

Slowly without making much noise we moved into the deep woods going in front of the trail  where Jake is sensing the intruder.

Suddenly Jake stopped turned around to gesture me to stop as well.

I can hear small footsteps loud and clear and faint but hearable sound of someone breathing heavily.

Jake moved a little cracking  a fallen tree branch, stepping on it making our intruder on guard. It's so dark in the deep woods because of the tall and thick tree's that helps to hide are camp from evil intruders.

Jake slowly and carefully moved forward not giving the intruder any hint of attacking and suddenly stopped and looked at me. He's shocked face and muffled growls telling me something important. Dude I wish I could hear you. Because of his animal instincts he definitely saw our intruder already.

I moved a little not showing myself and then I thought of climbing up the tree so that I can see our intrudes face and why Jake is shocked because of our intruder.

A black over sized hoodie covering our visitors face. I climbed a little higher to get a better view.

And then when our intruder removed it's hood showing its face. I froze in my position seeing a familiar yet the most beautiful face.

I said in whisper not believing who I just saw, "Precious"

She moved a little closer to where Jake is standing in his panther form. Glued to his place not knowing what to do after seeing Precious.

"Finally you showed up huh." She said shrugging. "You know I can't sleep because of this freaking dream that I'm having for almost 3 weeks and finally Mr black panther decided to show up."She blurted out in frustration.

Jake moved his head probably saying what the hell is she talking about.

"Yes you, I'm having this nightmare where you come over here from behind these trees and just glare at me like an idiot." She said still not afraid of Jake because, girl you are talking to a panther, She really is something else.

Jake shrugged making a loud growl but, still Precious isn't moving from her place.

"You--you know my name?"She rumble shockingly moving back a little.

Jake growl again slowly.

"Yess--yess I can hear you." Precious answered Jake's unspoken question.

Jake slowly starting backing off.

"No no no I-I I won't tell anyone about this but please can you tell me who are you and how do you know me?" Precious avowed in a pleading voice.

Jake backed off a little more not growling and shrugging means not answering her.

"I was born here in Sewanee and and I'm--I'm not---" She stopped in middle because of a loud music coming from her jeans pocket.

She answered her phone. Jake moved slowly and vanished in the deep forest.

"Hello, yeah Win I'm out for a morning walk. I'll be home in 20 minutes don't worry okay Bye." She said in a hurry.

Looking up where Jake was standing, not finding him there she jerked her foot in frustration. Sighing loudly.

"I'm coming back to find my answers Mr panther I promise."She said pointing her finger in the direction where Jake was standing. Her hands are so beautiful umm, I jerked my boyish instincts and focused on what she's doing.

She made her way to get back down on street towards her home. I can't let her go alone in this thick and dangerous forest. So I tailed her until the end. She fell twice making me want to help her but I can't and that makes me angry. Her feet got tangled a lot. This girl can't even walk properly. I made mental notes to not let her hike in my presence.

Finally she made it with some rashes on her hand and knees probably. After seeing her go I went back, up towards camp and finding Jake in front of the gate waiting for me.

"Sky she can hear me in my shifted form." He said loudly with a confuse and scared expression.

"I know I heard everything and she was about to tell you something else before her phone rang." I answered.

"Dude I - I got so confuse that I didn't dare saying anything else or she would've definitely guessed who I was I just said ' I'm not an idiot Precious' and 'you can hear me' and when she answered my unspoken questions bro I got pantherbumbs." He blurted his side of the story in his way.

I silently listened to him and thinking about what could've Precious said before her phone rang.

I need to find some answers. We have a house warming party at her place this week. I need to do find some answers.
