Bryan's POV

Three days later...

Lo'Pho rattled off the announcements one-by-one.  Kay was passed out, Relena was almost asleep and even Bri wasn't listening. How could one cat-person-thing be so boring? The only reason I was still awake myself was the fact that Jakey was right next to me, twisting the engagement ring on his finger. It was time to tell the others.

Finally, Lo'Pho rolled up his parchment. "Any questions or other things to announce?"

Relena raised her hand. "Why are these always so long when there isn't anything to announce?"

Lo'Pho shot her a look. "Anything else?"

Bri shook her head no. Kay obvious didn't raise her hand, since she was asleep. But Jakey and I grinned at each other and I raised my hand.

"Yes, Bryan?" Lo'Pho whacked Kay over the head so she'd listen.

"Jakey and I have a very special announcement."

Jakey took over from there. "Bryan and I are going to be throwing a special party in about five months. It'll last about five, maybe six hours. You are all invited and so are certain members of the other guilds, like Mario, Brandon, Ritchie, I think you get the picture. I advise you all wear formal attire, even you Lo'Pho. There will not any loud music, crazy dancing, or drunkenness, but we will have variations of those things."

Everyone that was awake blinked.

"What kind of party needs to have formal clothing and not have loud music, crazy dancing or drinks?" asked Relena. "Also, how do you two know how long it's gonna last and why do we have to wait five months for the party? Can't we just have it, like, tonight?"

I covered my mouth so I wouldn't giggle like a psychopath. "Show them, show them!"

Jakey grinned and raised his right hand. He fanned his fingers out so the ring wouldn't be missed. Kay slapped her hands to her mouth. Lo'Pho raised his eyebrows so high, I couldn't see them anymore.

Lo'Pho whispered something in Los Gatosan. "I knew you two were in a serious relationship but I didn't realized it was on this scale! When was this finalized?"

"Only about three days ago."

"I call bridesmaid rights!" Kay shrieked. "I call bridesmaid rights!"

Jakey laughed. "How did you know we were gonna make you the bridesmaid?"

"I can read you two like a book!"

"I just hope there won't be cookies served at the afterparty," Relena commented. "You need to lose some weight, Jakey."

Jakey's fist clenched. "What is that supposed to mean?!" He yelled at her.

I patted my fiancé's leg. "Calm down, Jakey baby." But I shot a glare at Relena.

 "One more word about his weight and I'll turn your face into a Hot Pocket, Relena." I whispered through my teeth when no one was listening.
