Bryan's POV

Two days later...

"Are you sure?" Jake asked hesitantly.

I grinned at my newly made boyfriend. "I'm sure, Jakey. I'm strong enough. It's been days. I think I can do it."

Jakey walked over to me and helped me off the couch. I took a few shaky steps, but stayed upright. He opened my door for me, and for the first time in over a week and a half, I stepped outside. 

The fresh air felt so good against my face. The scent of roses filled my senses. They had never smelled so good. I unconsciously sighed out of contentment. Giggling, Jakey took my hand and led me towards the guild hall.  

When the others spotted me, their faces lit up like candles. Kay dashed over and hugged so hard, I nearly lost my balance.

"Hey, K-Kay! Kay! Watch the ribs, the ribs!" I warned her.

She squeezed me before Relena had to break her grip on me. Lo'Pho helped hold back his student while I got my bearings.

After everyone calmed down from seeing me strong enough to leave my house and join everyone again, they started chatting and laughing like everything was normal. I guess it was, except Jakey and I were dating now, which I still couldn't believe. 

Lo'Pho shot me a look and gestured to the gardens, like he wanted to talk to me. Well, if I disobeyed him, he would whack me over the head, despite me still being in recovery. I nodded and we left the others. 

The gardens were quiet and peaceful. Several types of magical flowers grew there. But, it was a weird place for Lo'Pho to choose, considering I had nearly died by flowers.

"It is a bit strange, but this is the best place I could think of for us to talk," Lo'Pho said, almost as if he had read my mind.

"What do you want to talk about?" I asked.

"Follow me," he said simply.

I followed him down a winding path to a small ditch. There was a heavy metal table set up, with...

"A coffin?" I asked, feeling the wooden paneling.

"Divinus Magia sent it a few days ago," Lo'Pho explained. "It was made for you. No one thought you'd survive."

"I'm surprised I did survive," I admitted.

"I am, as well. Still, I am considering sending it back with a clone of you inside and have a video recorder inside as well. I'd like to see their reactions to that," chuckled Lo'Pho.

I bust out laughing. "That is just evil, Lo'Pho."

"I might be a serious guild leader, but that does not mean I don't enjoy a good prank time to time."

I smiled at him. He looked up at me with a sly look.

"So, how are thing with you and Jakey?"

I blushed. "They've progressed like crazy. I didn't think my relationship with him would grow this fast."

"It is certainly blossoming, that is for sure."

Lo'Pho clasped his paw to his mouth after he said that. I waved it away.

"You can say stuff like that, I don't mind. And it is true," I said. "It really is blossoming. In the good way."

He smiled slightly. "Yes. Yes, it is. Come on, let us get back to the others. I would like to finalize the prank on Divinus Magia."

I laughed again. "Oh yes. I wanna see their faces when that happens!"
