4-Flowers
"What's this flower called?" Tommy asked, holding a Black Dahlia.
"That's called a Black Dahlia," I explained, taking it from his hands. "It's so pretty, isn't it?"
The blonde boy nodded, most likely as a sort of polite gesture.
I've always loved black dahlias. I couldn't explain it, but the black petals with the red undertones were just so pretty!
Though, for some reason I can't explain, I felt a sense of dread seeing the dark flower in my friend's hands.

"TOMMY!"
"C'mon kid, the captains busy-"
"H-he's my best friend though! He wouldn't do this for no reason!"
"Sorry to burst your bubble kid, but he did."
"N-no...."

"What's this flower, then?" Tommy's voice brought me out of my daydream. I look at the violet petals in his hand. "Lavender, right?"
I giggled. "No, that's a purple hyacinth. Lavenders are smaller and thinner. Also, the flowers themselves are different. Also, lavenders are a lighter shade of purple."
"Damn, you really know your flowers." The blonde laughed.
"Well, of course I do." I felt my face warm. "My mother is a florist, after all."
He nodded, looking around the shop. I admired the deep purple of the flower.

"I'm sorry, okay!? How many times do I have to say it for you to forgive me!?"
"Sorry doesn't reverse the heartbreak. Sorry doesn't change the past. Sorry doesn't change a thing, Tommy. When will you learn that?"

"This is pretty." The blonde's voice brought me out of my daydream once more. He was holding a white tulip this time. "A tulip, yeah?"
I nodded, smiling. "Yep. Pretty, isn't it?"
He smiled, nodding before putting his attention solely on the flower.

"I forgive you."

What do you think the italics mean?
Keep in mind, that this is a MEMORY. They are about 8 in the memory, so about 8 years before the events of ATOTK (keep in mind, the betrayal happens several months before the events of ATOTK).
It took me a solid week to write this chapter simply because I had no idea what I wanted to do for it.
That's gonna be a common theme for most of the memories, trust me.
