Leaning in, leaning deep, there are flowers that like to creep. Behind your ear, inside your nose, that's where it blossomed, that cute little rose.

Tears are shed, they fall so freely, let the wind carry them away. It picks up, and blows their skies, so high, so so high, everyday.

The feeling light, and buzzing in every nerve of his body. He can feel the love that pours out from his lips. From his toes to his fingertips. Intertwined, and so warm many may say. What do they call this?

     Love... Love all the way...
🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺

The doctors worked diligently with his lungs, removing the thorns and vines. Pulling out flower petals and watching them shrivel up as they were plucked from their feeding source.

Some doctors worked on cutting the flowers that had already bloomed, carefully placing them onto the metal tray beside them. Using the gauze to suck up any remaining blood, they used a suction tube to suck up unwanted liquid that had managed to fill his lungs.

They were only an hour into the surgery, and they still had some ways to go. Izuku's left lung was almost free of any signs of hanahaki, while the other doctors started to break down on Izuku's right.

Luckily, Izuku got the surgery before he went on any longer. If that had happened, he might have needed a new lung. Unlucky for Izuku, because his hanahaki was rabidly growing within a week. He was lucky enough to make it to the hospital alive.

"Pass the tube please, there's too much liquid on his right," said one doctor. Once again, they started to suck away the unwanted fluid in his lung.

Flowers in his right shriveled a bit and doctors had a much easier time removing them because they were already detaching themselves.

"Ma'am, is this normal?" someone questioned while placing the almost dead flower on a metal tray once more.

"This is rare, it's happens sometimes though. His body is healing itself, this usually happens when the significant other returns their feelings. So I'm guessing something happened before the surgery, but we can't stop now," a specialist explained.

She was right. They couldn't stop at this point. They had already made so much progress, and his wilting flowers were helping them quicken the surgery. This was efficient.

If Izuku hadn't gone to the hospital, and this self healing process went on, he would still have to cough up the flowers and excess blood and fluid in his lungs. He would still have to endure the itch and the feeling of dead petals tickling his organs. That wouldn't have been pleasant, but he wouldn't have the surgery, and he could still choke on one of those precious petals.

"Alright, left lung is fine," a doctor confirmed.

They kept working hard. Now an hour and thirty minutes in, and they were almost done. They spotted a root that was still living and bright green and brown. They started to cut down on it but the heart monitor spiked and they all stopped. "What the hell?" a doctor said.

"Let me have a look please," said the specialist. She suddenly looked towards Izuku's face and saw his eyes flutter. "Oh shit... up the dosage, he's waking up."

Izuku saw flashing lights and sharp objects. His skin felt cold and unwanted air touched his insides in a way he hasn't felt before. His skin was numb but his chest felt pain. He would have ruled it off as something else, but remembering where he was he started to freak out.

All the doctors were alarmed. On occasion, patients wake up during surgery, but they hadn't expected this happening now. Izuku felt his eyes widen and movement come back to his hands as he watched the sharp object go back down to his lung. He tried to move, and he would have succeeded if he hadn't felt so sleepy all of a sudden.

"Everything's alright, sweetie. Just go back to sleep, you will be alright when you wake up," a soft youthful voice cooed. For some reason he trusted this voice, he didn't recognize it, but he knew he could do as he was told. Her voice was like honey dripping over dark chocolate, so rich and smooth, but gentle as it poured.

Izuku then felt his world tip on its side once again, and he fell back into his endless sleep. The doctors kept working, slightly anxious from him waking up. They kept their cool, and swiftly worked out the root that decided to be stubborn. Now that root was slowly shriveling and they could work it out easier.

🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺

Izuku pulled away from Katsuki and Katsuki was shocked too. "I swear to God you were just gone," Katsuki says as he held Izuku's hand.

"I was..."

Katsuki didn't ask any questions, knowing Izuku has just been traumatized by something. Katsuki figures he woke up, and that must have been terrifying for him. So, Katsuki cupped Izuku's face and lightly kissed his lips.

The two laid down on the soft cloud, watching the sky, and raining petals and shiny rain. Izuku's head rested on Katsuki's chest and he could hear the hammering beat of Katsuki's heart. He could feel the pumps on his ear, with each beat he felt more and more calm.

"What if I forget that this happened?" Izuku questioned Katsuki.

Katsuki took his arm and brought his hand to Izuku's hair. He moved curls out of his face as he twirled his middle and ring finger around them. "You won't," is all Katsuki says, in a slight whisper.

"What if—"

"You won't. I promise,"

"You can't make a promise like that," Izuku says as he squeezed Katsuki's shirt.

"Yes I can. Watch me, I just did,"

Izuku giggles and cuddles closer to Katsuki. "I'm really scared to wake up. I don't want to wake up..."

"I know, neither do I. But at some point we will have to face the truth, and then go back to the real world,"

"I don't want to go back. It's so much better here..."

"I know..." Katsuki says as he kisses Izuku's head, playing with those green curls.

Izuku couldn't be any happier. He was in denial about all the horrible feelings he had been feeling, and he focused purely on this blissful moment with Kacchan.

Katsuki's arms around Izuku's felt so abnormal, but it was so nice that he wanted to be in them forever. He felt safe in Katsuki's arms, even though he wouldn't never imagine this.

He would never have thought that Katsuki's rough, smooth hands would be anything but gentle. After all the burn marks, the punches, the back hands, the pushes, the explosions... after all that, these hands held no hate. They only held Izuku's head in a caring manner that almost didn't seem humanly possible.

Izuku can feel how sorry Katsuki must feel, he's being so gentle that he thinks he will accidentally hurt Izuku. Izuku wouldn't have cared, he just wanted to enjoy this dream before it was over, not knowing if it would last.

"What will happen when we go back to reality?" Izuku questioned.

Katsuki was silent for a minute, before the sun started setting showing more of the stary sky. "We won't know until we go back..."

"I don't want to go back. I like it here with you,"

"I do too," Katsuki whispered when a sudden question popped inside his head. "How does day and night change so frequently?"

"I wanted it to be nighttime,"

"Can you not stick with one? Nerd..." Katsuki feasted lightly as he smirked.

"Nope, but that's the fun in this. I get to have day and night, and right now I want to look at the stars with you under the night sky..." Izuku whispers as the cloud became larger.

"We can do that when we get back..."

After that sentence, the two didn't say anything. They honestly just wanted to be in each other's arms. Izuku coughed suddenly and his chest burned with a sting. The two sat up and Katsuki had one hand on Izuku's back, supporting him.

Izuku felt something pour out of his mouth. Red and thick, metallic like taste. Coloring the cloud a nice reddish-pink. "Deku!"

Izuku took Katsuki's hand in his and leaned his head into Katsuki shoulder. "I'm okay, I promise..."

Katsuki scowled and protectively wrapped his arms around Izuku, pouting slightly, "I thought you said not to make promises you can't keep,"

"I said 'you can't make promises like that,' not to make promises you can't keep." Izuku giggled.

"Same thing! It's implied..." Katsuki says as he slowly rocked the two. They swayed in their little hug.

"Have you ever... imagined what the future would look like?" Izuku questioned with his eyes closed as the two kept swaying slowly side to side.

"Yeah, with me at the top obviously," Katsuki says and Izuku elbows Katsuki in the rib harshly. "Damn nerd!" Katsuki says as he tackles Izuku playfully and starts tickling him.

Izuku laughed as he could feel the warmth reach his body. His cheeks reddening as his laughter took his breath away. His body tingling from Katsuki's hands on his skin, and his abs contracting due to his constantly laughter. "I love you,"

Katsuki stopped, his hands resting at Izuku's sides. For some reason, these words held more meaning. Even though the two have already said them, something about this moment made them more memorable. More important. "Same,"

Izuku gave him a playful offended look, as Katsuki didn't say it back. Well, not exactly.

     Why Katsuki?

"Love you too, Deku," Katsuki says and Izuku wraps his arms around Katsuki's neck and tugs him down. The two fall through the cloud and Izuku smiles. Katsuki was slightly freaking out but when he looked into Izuku's eyes, all his worries were gone.

It was amazing what the eyes could say, wasn't it?

     "I'm really scared..."

     Why?

     "Why?" Katsuki asked gently.

"I don't know, I'm just really scared. What if I really don't remember these amazing and horrific dreams? What if I don't remember my love for you? What if you go back to hating me? Or what if you get..."

Katsuki and Izuku were still falling, forgetting that they weren't going to hit the ground because there was no ground. But surprisingly there was balance. The two were balanced as Katsuki reached out towards Izuku. He linked their hands together and they fell. Orange petals suddenly fell from the sky. "We will cross that damn bridge once we come to it. And hanahaki is rare, I probably won't get it if you don't love me anymore..."

     "You don't know that, Kacchan!"

     "I do know that shitnerd!"

     "How?!"

"Because love can't be broken! It can't be taken away, it's always there. And I know you'll keep loving! Even if it isn't me, I know you'll still have that beautiful heart of yours!"

The two land softly on a cloud, laying on their stomachs staring into each other's eyes. "Then I guess I'll just have to keep loving you, no matter what," suddenly the two hit the ground and groan in pain.

"What the hell?!" Katsuki shouts and sits up. The world started to fade away, pieces of the sky and ground disintegrating into tiny crystals. They floated away into the air.

"I think, I think the surgery is complete!" Izuku shouts. Katsuki feels his heart warmth but something drops in the pit of his stomach.

He was scared.

"That's great! You're okay..." Katsuki says with a sigh of relief. Izuku was okay, he wasn't going to die. Because if him...

As if reading Katsuki's thoughts, Izuku grabs his face softly within his palm and brushed his thumb across Katsuki's cheek, "Don't blame yourself. It's not ones fault that I got a rare disease..."

Katsuki reaches for Izuku's slightly smaller hand and squeezes it slightly. "See you on the other side, nerd?" Katsuki says, somehow as a question. Izuku nodded and the two let a tear or two shed as they let their lips collide.

As if between the sun, the sun was in the middle of their kiss. Making their silhouettes glow. Glowing golden particles danced around them as they faded away, with the rest of the dream world.

I love you...

Katsuki woke up and his body felt still. He had been accustomed to sleeping in that chair. "Katsuki, it's getting late..." Inko says as she rubbed his arm.

Katsuki really didn't want to leave, but he had faith. He knew Izuku was going to be okay, and technically it was still Friday. He was going to visit the nerd tomorrow, and try and spend the whole day with him. Hopefully he was awake, even though there was a high chance he wouldn't be.

Katsuki hugger Inko and she was surprised, but she accepted the hug.

🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺

Katsuki had made it back to the dorms safely. He was exhausted, but exhilarated as he could still feel Izuku's soft lips upon his own. At that, he actually smiled. "Bakugo, are you alright?!" Kaminari asked seemingly worried.

"Yeah? Why the hell wouldn't I be alright?!" Katsuki asked as if he was being accused of something sinister.

"I don't know! You just smiled, so I thought..."

"Bakugo Katsuki SMILED?!" Mina suddenly squealed. Katsuki groaned loudly in annoyance. This was going to be interesting, wasn't it?

"I did NOT smile! Get your eyes checked or some shit, I'm heading off to bed!" Katsuki roars as his squad teases him. After he walks down the hallway he lets his facade drop and he smiles once more.

Giving one more person to witness this moment. Dammit Katsuki, what has gotten into you?!

"Nice look," Todoroki says in a less mundane fashion. Katsuki's smile drops and he scowls in Todoroki's direction.

"Shut up! You didn't see nothin'" Katsuki growls.

"Yeah, because I definitely didn't see you smile just now," Todoroki says smirking. Katsuki once again growls as he walks pass Todoroki. "Is Midoriya alright?" Todoroki asked. Katsuki abruptly stopped and turned his head towards the duo-colored haired boy.

"He had surgery today. It's done now, but he's okay," Katsuki said reassuringly.

"Did he tell you that when he was in surgery?" Todoroki asked, not knowing what to believe.

"Yes actually,"

"How—"

"Our dreams were linked. I told him how I felt before he had the surgery. I'm not sure if that shit did anything, but now he knows. So let's just hope... let's just hope he will get better," explained Katsuki before walking towards his room.

Katsuki didn't hear if Todoroki said anything after that because all he wanted to do was collapse into his bed and forget all the stress he's been under. He wanted to see Izuku again, but he'd have to wait until tomorrow. Izuku's surgery was finished, but their love would never end.

Katsuki made it back to his room and it was dark. His dark curtains were closed and his lights turned off. The room giving him comfort, but also an emptiness he couldn't explain. It was then Katsuki realized, he had been missing Deku. Midoriya Izuku. He wasn't in his harms anymore.

Izuku wasn't in his arms. He missed Izuku's warmth. And he wasn't certain that his confession would work. He just tugged his shirt off, and kicked his shoes to the side, removing his socks and tossing them into the laundry basket. Katsuki then flopped onto his bed, not caring for the blankets as he closed his eyes.

     I love you Katsuki...

🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺

Katsuki opened his puffy eyes and grabbed his phone as it kept buzzing. He grabbed it and looked at the caller. Inko Midoriya.

Katsuki picked up the phone, a voicemail was on the receiving end.

Inko Midoriya: Hello Katsuki! Sorry to call you so early, I just thought you would like to know Izuku's surgery was a success. H-he is doing much better, and the signs of hanahaki are gone. He's going to be in the hospital for a bit, just to monitor his symptoms of any relapses or infections. He is in the ICU, that was obvious from when he got here. We were lucky we had a chance to see him, but now he's back there and...

     There was a slight pause.

He's just going to be monitored in there. I'll try and see if he is able to have visitors, but I highly doubt it. Thank you for being there for him.

     The call ended.

Katsuki removes the phone from his ear and smiles a bit. He didn't care about the ICU, he would still find a way to reach Izuku. And that's exactly what he had planned for the day.

Katsuki sat up and suddenly remembered something. A faint voice before he fell asleep. He couldn't place his finger on it, but he knew it was something special. So he would try and remember that voice.

Katsuki made his way to the bathroom and took a shower. After that he ate breakfast and then brushed his teeth. Katsuki got up, and dressed in a plain black long sleeved shirt with some jeans. He then grabs his jacket and puts his black boots on. Today was a cold day, but his heart was warmer than ever before. He grabbed his wallet and headed out his door.

     "Going somewhere?" Kirishima asked skeptical.

"Yeah," is all Katsuki says before walking towards the exit.

"Wait!" Kirishima exclaimed and Katsuki stopped, feeling his anger boil beneath his skin. "Are you going to visit Midoriya?"

"I was somewhat planning on it," Katsuki manage to grit out.

"Is it okay if I tag along?"

"Sure, whatever. I'm not stopping you, but you better hurry your ass up because I'm not waiting long," Katsuki says. After two minutes Kirishima was ready.

The two left and started walking to a flower shop. "Where are we headed to first?" Kirishima asked curiously.

"Flower shop," Katsuki says and Kirishima smirks. "Don't get your panties in a bunch, it's just a kind gesture,"

"Wow. I never thought you'd be the type to buy Midoriya of all people flowe—"

"Can it, shitty hair! I will throw your ass across the street,"

"I don't doubt it!" Kirishima said enthusiastically and the two continued until they were in the shop. As they entered Kirishima decided to help Katsuki pick. But Katsuki had so much trouble with something that should have been easy. Kirishima seemed to catch on, and walked over towards Katsuki. "You okay man?"

"I don't know what to get him,"

"What type of flowers does he like?"

"Orange lilies and amaryllis," Katsuki says and Kirishima tried to hold back laughter. It shouldn't have been a big deal that Katsuki knew the exact flowers Izuku liked, but it was still pretty damn cute.

"Why don't we get him those then?"

"One, I don't think this store has either of those flowers, and I don't even think he would like flowers after..." Katsuki trailed off and Kirishima didn't need to hear the rest to understand.

"That makes sense. What if we got him something other than flowers? Like maybe a book or something All Might related?"

"Those would be horrible gifts for anyone else except that damn nerd, but I highly doubt we would find something All Might related that he doesn't have already." Kirishima laughed and Katsuki managed a light chuckle.

Kirishima brushed his hands over some flowers as he continued the conversation. "Then a book?"

"Maybe, but I feel like he should get more than a book, damn he is so simple but complicated."

"You're telling me," Kirishima stated as he found some white roses. "What do you think of these? Maybe just get him like a few? Just in case he really doesn't want flowers, but if they are form you I bet he would love them,"

Katsuki thought long and hard until he ultimately gave up and bought six of those roses. He asked the person to cut the thorns off, knowing that those thorns are more dangerous than one may think.

Katsuki walked out of the glass doors with Kirishima, a small bouquet of white roses in his hand. "Where to next?" Kirishima asked.

"Art supplies shop," Katsuki says and the two are off. The walk was nice, and Katsuki definitely needed it. He needed to get his mind out of the negative zone, and focus on the joy he would be in once he saw Izuku.

The two walked into the art store and asked Kirishima to help find writing supplies and notebooks. Katsuki found a packet of notebooks, three wrapped in plastic. They were pretty cheap, only 1649.03¥ (15$). Katsuki smiled and grabbed them, seeing Kirishima come back with a bunch of pencils. Katsuki paid for both the pencils and the notebooks and made Kirishima hold the bag on their stroll.

     "What's up next?"

"The hospital, we'll have to take a car, so call,"

"Call? Call— oh! Yeah!"

"Baka..." Katsuki groans out as the two waited three minutes before their ride arrived. The car ride was Kirishima making small talk with the driver because Katsuki would have definitely blew up the car.

The car stopped in front of the hospital, and the two step out. Kirishima giving the driver a generous tip, before they started walking inside.

Katsuki walked in and asked to see Midoriya Izuku. Luckily, Katsuki knew the visiting hours, and he was right in the beginning of them. They usually started at 9:00 in the morning, and end at 8:00 in the evening.

"I'll have someone lead you to the ICU, just wait a moment please," the nurse said before reaching to the side making a phone call. "Hello? Yes, I need someone to take two people to the ICU, second visitors today actually. Hmm, uh hu... yes, yes please. Okay thank you, have a nice day," she said as she places the phone down.

Katsuki looked over at Kirishima who was checking the time on his phone before turning his gaze over to a doctor walking over. The specialist.

"Oh how nice! A familiar face, follow me please," she said and Katsuki nudged Kirishima and started walking. Kirishima followed swiftly and the two were walking down the white plain hallway.

"I thought people weren't aloud to visit people in the ICU," Kirishima says slightly puzzled.

"That's the main idea. But we allow two visitors in at a time, and usually only during visiting hours in concern for the patients health."

Kirishima nodded and she stopped at a door, opening it for them and the two walked inside. Katsuki nodded towards her as a thank you, and Kirishima just said a polite thank you.

Katsuki took his phone out feeling it buzz.

(9:13 A.M) Inko Midoriya: I visited Izuku earlier this morning, he's allowed visitors!

(9:15 A.M) Katsuki: I'm here now.

Katsuki slips his phone back into his pocket as he took a seat near Izuku. He places the flowers down on a table, and sets the notebooks there, with a card he decided to buy. He also wrote a little note inside it earlier on his adventure with Kirishima.

Katsuki looked over Izuku's mangled body. He was in a hospital gown, and had an oxygen mask on his face. His eyes had dark circles and his hair was still a lighter color than normal. The blanket was up to his stomach and he had an I.V sticking to his left arm.

Izuku had bandages wrapped around his chest, and a clip wrapped around his index finger, checking his pulse every second. Katsuki couldn't help but feel his heart pound. Did Izuku know he was there? Could he hear him?

"Hey dude, you alright?" Kirishima asked, placing a hand on Katsuki's shoulder.

"Yeah, I just... I don't know,"

"Want me to leave the room?"

"I didn't say—"

"Call me back in once you've said what you needed to," Kirishima kindly says. His smile was always so encouraging.

"Dammit, Kirishima! I never said—"

"You didn't have to... I already know," Kirishima said smiling with a quirked brow, before standing up and walking towards the exit, shutting the door.
