Izuku gasped. It was only a dream, but something took over him. The flowers kept burning, and he was even more scared of the black void behind it. "What..? I'm not lying."

"Do you know who I am?" he asked.

Izuku shook his head, no. Izuku then felt a soft pair of lips on his own. The kiss was overpowering. And he felt it light his whole body. "Look at me... and tell me who you love."

"You, Kacchan... I love you..."
🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺

Izuku's eyes flung open when he woke up. He coughed harshly. The burning was so intense he thought he would lose consciousness. He made his way out of bed and opened his door. He covered his hand over his mouth, as he made his way through the halls, trying to be discrete.

Izuku removed his hand as he made his way into the bathroom. Todoroki was in there. Izuku's headache came back ten times harder then before and he almost dropped to his knees but Todoroki caught him in time. "Midoriya..." is all he can manage to say before Izuku forced himself to get up and walk into a stall.

Izuku felt the object at the back of his throat tickle. It was so uncomfortable and his throat hurt every time he swallows saliva. He proceeds to puke the flower petals. Saliva and specs of blood cover them.

He didn't feel that Todoroki had his hand on his back, rubbing it as Izuku's body shook too its core. Izuku flushes the toilet and walks to the sink and washes his hands and his mouth. "Midoriya—"

"I know, I know. It's getting worse, no denying it now. But I've only had it for less than a week." Izuku explains as he finished everything he needed to do in the bathroom. Todoroki followed him out into the hallways towards the kitchen.

Lucky, no one was in the kitchen, but there had to be people awake. Izuku was wearing a nice fuzzy light blue sweater to bed, and his pajama pants were dark blue. The sweater covered his hands, and he was feeling slightly cold. Izuku didn't know it, but this was due to the sickness.

Todoroki makes them some hot chocolate, just to get their day started. He hands Izuku his mug and fills his own up as he walks to the seat next to Izuku. Izuku wanted to talk to Todoroki more about hanahaki, but he didn't know what to say. "Hey, um... did you ever get vivid dreams?" Izuku asks and Todoroki takes a sip before setting his cup down.

"No. But I've heard of other people getting them. So, if your asking me if your dreams coincide with hanahaki, then yes. Did you have a weird dream?"

Izuku's face turns pink and he takes a sip and glances at Todoroki feeling embarrassed.

"Oh wait, you had—"

"Yes. Kind of... it's not like it was detailed or anything. But I definitely felt it." Izuku explains.

"And how did it feel?" Todoroki asks raising a brow.

"Good..." Izuku whispers before taking bigger gulps of the drink. Todoroki manages a laugh and takes a sip fork his cup.

"People say some of those dreams are worse than any nightmare..."

"They can be..."

🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺

The two continue to talk, but neglected the hanahaki subject. People came down and by the time they did, Izuku and Todoroki were already dressed for school.

As Izuku and Todoroki walked to school, the green haired boy suddenly remembered something that happened a couple days ago. "A few days ago... I was having hallucinations..." Izuku says and Todoroki glances at him before humming, letting Izuku know he was listening. "It was evening, and I had just talked to Kirishima. That was the day I found out what I had... a-and, I saw vines grow around me. They were so brightly green, it was almost disgustingly vibrant. And the thorns were so sharp, sharper than any blade I've ever seen. And the flowers grew around me. So many of them... I remember my vision going spotty and dark. Then someone came running towards me. They were wearing red, I think. All I saw was red. I thought it might be Kirishima but I haven't had the chance to ask, but now I'm not entirely sure it was him..." Izuku finished off.

There was silence before Todoroki said anything. "Well, it wasn't me. So maybe try asking Kirishima. But, like I said, I still really wish you'd tell an adult..." Todoroki says.

"I know... I will. I'm just..." Izuku trails off as they were entering the school.

"You're scared. That's perfectly fine. Anyone would be. And I understand how you feel, completely. But, I really don't want to watch you die without you 100% knowing what you want. So, at least speak to someone. I'm really not trying to pressure you, I'm just very concerned."

"I know, I'm sorry. I'll find the courage in me to talk to someone. Hopefully sooner rather then later." Izuku says as the two take their seats. Some students were already there and people were starting to pile into the class.

"Everyone shut up," Aizawa calmly demands.

Everyone shut up.

"Today we will be doing combat training. I will assign you a partner, and then I will analyze your skills."

Before the students knew it, they were changed and outside. Ready to fight each other.

Izuku was paired with the one who haunts his dreams. The one who he absentmindedly thinks about often. The one who he finally realized... he loved.

Soon enough, Izuku had to battle Katsuki. The two stepped to their lanes. They were facing each other one their own little battle field. Izuku could practically hear Katsuki yell, "Get ready, Deku!"

Oh wait, he did yell that.

Izuku got in a fight stance, and balled his fists. He activated One for All and the two ran at each other the moment the whistle blew.

Izuku slide on the ground once Katsuki aimed for his face, dodging his explosive blow. The greenette swiftly stood up and kicked at Katsuki's feet, but Kacchan was faster. He exploded himself up a bit and aimed an explosive towards Izuku's side. Izuku missed the opportunity to dodge and he was hit, but being the resilient boy he was, he got back up on his feet and dodged two more times.

"I'm going to win this, Deku!" Katsuki exclaims as he grabbed Izuku's arm and threw him to the ground. Izuku gasped and rolled over, doing a front hand spring. Everyone was surprised, when did he learn that?

Izuku stood up and aimed a finger at Katsuki and sent One for All flying around him. Katsuki dodges but when he looked to where Izuku should be he was gone. Katsuki looked up only to see how close Izuku was. Katsuki moves but Izuku grabbed his arm, and yanked him. Katsuki let out a small gasp, this was strong. Katsuki smirked, almost proud of the new challenge he was faced with.

Izuku tried pushing him to the ground but Katsuki used his trapped arm and his free one to slam Izuku down onto the dirt. Izuku gasped but the wind was knocked out of his lungs. Tears pricked his eyes and he didn't notice Katsuki pinning him down, but Izuku hadn't felt like fighting back anymore. He sucked in as much air as he could.

"Bakugo wins!" Present Mic yells. When did he get here?

Izuku heard muffled voices. He would have been fine after this, if he didn't have hanahaki. The illness was fighting back. Katsuki got off of him and tried calling out to him. But Izuku was out of it. Something is going on.

"Deku," Katsuki says but Izuku doesn't listen. "Deku!" Katsuki says again. Izuku opened his eyes and Katsuki helps him sit up. Some gasps were heard and Katsuki glared at his little Bakusquad.

"I'm okay..." Izuku says as he stood up. Katsuki watched as Izuku brushed himself off, and walks over to his friends. Izuku seemed okay on the outside, but Katsuki had a feeling something was off.

He knew it. He had a gut feeling. It wasn't like before, where villains attacked or at some points Izuku went to the hospital. Something was wrong. But Katsuki had no right to go up and ask him.

After combat training, everyone went to their other classes before lunch. By the time lunch rolled around Izuku wasn't feeling too hot. He said he had to use the bathroom when he got up from his seat, and he calmly made his way there. Luckily, he knew which bathroom would be empty. The only problem was how far it was.

It wasn't extremely far, but it was a nice distance away from everyone. Izuku made it there, and the sudden urge to throw up came faster than he could comprehend. He grips onto the sink as the flowers and blood color the surrounding area. He was thankfully close enough to the sink for them not to fall on the ground. But now he would have to clean this up.

Izuku looked down to his blood stained hands and he saw them shake. His hands were shaking. He was scared. Izuku knew he had to tell someone now, this obviously wasn't getting any better. And it would only get worse.

Izuku continued to clean up the mess, as he kept glancing at the door every ten seconds, making sure no one would walk in on the crime scene. After he finished, he dries his hands.

He spent so much time in the bathroom that lunch was nearly over. Izuku walked out and started walking to class. He then hesitated as he thought about what he needed to do. He needed to talk to someone. Izuku dreaded this part. But what was he supposed to do? Just wait and die? Yes.

Izuku shakes his thoughts away and makes his way to All Mights office, hoping he would be in there.

All might wasn't in his office. Izuku cursed in his head as he leaned against the wall and slid down to the ground.

He sat there, waiting, but he didn't realize he would be there for awhile. "Problem child..." Mr. Aizawa suddenly says. Izuku had his head buried in his knees. He looked up and his face just read help me.

How could Aizawa ignore that? Especially from one of his favorite and top students. He was a hero after all, he knew what a cry for help looked like. "Come with me" is all he said before Izuku stood up and started following him. The two were walking to the teachers lounge. He saw some of the other pros in the room and shyly waved to them. They all gave him a warm welcoming smile.

The two walked to a more secluded area and sat down in some chairs. "So, would you like to tell me what's wrong?"

Izuku didn't know what to say. He knew the words, he just didn't have enough courage to say them out loud. Izuku said something but it was inaudible and Mr. Aizawa furrowed his brows. He asked Izuku to repeat it a little louder, and Izuku did but it was still hard to hear. "Midoriya," Aizawa starts in an irritated tone. Why was his student being so closed off?

"I'm sick... but it's serious..." Izuku says and Mr. Aizawa nods his head. Even when he looked tired, he wasn't always. He was more awake now, wanting to hear what the boy had to say. His friends must be worried that he's not in class.

"Proceed..." Mr. Aizawa says as he fold his hands.

"I think I-I have... hanahaki..." Izuku forces out. The words really didn't want to be said, but he needed to tell someone. He needed to. There wasn't much choice anymore.

Aizawa's expression changed drastically. He usually doesn't show anything expect tiredness and anger, or slight irritation. But he showed emotion when it came to important subjects, such as his old friend Oboro Shirakumo. "When did you start showing symptoms?" Aizawa states as he grabbed the phone at the side of his desk and started pushing buttons.

Izuku's eyes were fixated on the phone. Was Aizawa telling someone else?

"Don't worry kid, I'm not announcing this to the world or anything. I'm just making a phone call to all your other classes. So please, try to stay calm." Aizawa calmly states as he gives Izuku a concerned look. Now that he really looked at him, Izuku's complexion was paler, and his eyes didn't seem as bright.

"I started showing symptoms last Friday..." Izuku says and Aizawa nods his head. Aizawa brought the phone up to his ear and a short silence was followed before he explained how Izuku wouldn't be in class... For the whole day.

Izuku's eyes widened, but he didn't protest. After Aizawa was done, he set the phone down and stood up. "Come on, were heading to Recovery Girl,"

Izuku felt his heart drop. He didn't want her to be mad. And he felt like he already troubles her enough.

The two walk to Recovery Girl and Aizawa opens the door and holds it for Izuku to walk in. She looks at the two and immediately feels like something was off. Not because Izuku was always in here, but the way their faces were so grim.

"What's the issue?" she nicely asks as she gets up from her chair.

"He claims that he has hanahaki,"

🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺

"Where's Midoriya?" Kirishima asks to no one in particular.

"Who the hell know? Why should it matter?" Katsuki questions.

"Because he's been sick. And you basically body slammed him into the ground." Ashido jumps in. Katsuki glared at her, but she was right. Izuku had been sick, and Katsuki did slam him into the ground. Rather harshly.

Everyone watched as the teacher received a phone call, and then proceeded to teach class. Katsuki was bothered, but he obviously wouldn't show it.

Class went on, and Izuku had told Recovery Girl what's been happening. He did leave out one detail, which was his dream last night. But he had had another dream, it just wasn't as sexual as the previous one.

"Midoriya... Does your mother know?" she asks and Izuku shakes his head in shame. "I would like to call her. This needs to be sorted out, and there are procedures—" Recovery Girl starts.

"I don't know if I want the surgery..." Izuku says and the room became dead silent. "I'll think about it, but, I really love this person. And... just not being able to love again..." Izuku trails off.

"We understand, honey. But we do want you to at least think about it, and talk to your mother. So I'm going to call home now, okay?" Recovery Girl says and Izuku nodded his head. He coughed and felt something move on the back of his throat. Aizawa told him to lay down, and that's exactly what Izuku did.

He was on the ground. In the grass. In a flower field. A field of cherry blossoms. That's odd, they grow on trees...

The wind picked up and the scent of cherry blossoms were overwhelming. They didn't make him sneeze, which was something he liked.

The sky was setting and its natural hues painted the sky. The clouds overhead all in different shapes and sizes.

"I see a heart..." a voice whispered in his ear. The voice was gentle and raspy. Izuku smiled. He still hadn't seen the face of the person, but he knew it was him.

"I see a teddy bear!" Izuku exclaimed and the wind once again picked up as it blew the flowers and hair out of his face.

"Only you would see a teddy bear," the voice adds. The two chuckle as more clouds pass them. "I see a dinasour,"

"I see hands..." Izuku says and suddenly he turns his face to look at him, but he was gone. Izuku sat up and looked around. He was just here. Izuku's hand felt cold, and that's when he realized, he had been holding his hand.

Now that hand was gone. Izuku stood up and looked ahead, then behind. From side to side. He wasn't seen for miles. This field had no trees either, and everything seemed flat and summery.

The scariest part about this dream is that it felt so real.

Izuku started walking. He was dressed in a light blue t-shirt, and he had his compression sleeve on. His pants were light gray sweatpants and his and he wore his iconic red shoes.

Izuku continued to walk for what felt like an hour. He didn't even know which way he was going, all he knew was that he should keep going. He didn't really know why, he just needed to look for something. Someone.

Izuku gave up and just plopped on the ground. The breeze was nice, and the sun was still shinning. It warmed his skin, replacing that phantom feeling of a hand. Izuku laid back down, and looked up at the many clouds again.

Suddenly roots and vines of the flowers came from the ground and curled around his legs. Izuku pulled and tugged but they had an iron grip. Izuku began to panic and he felt a hand run through his hair. Izuku whipped his head and all focus was on him. Izuku's eyes widened. "Katsuki..."

Katsuki smiles and Izuku doesn't feel the tugging. The pulling was gone and no more roots. No more struggle. Izuku smiles at Katuski and Katsuki was laying on the ground next to him, brushing hair out of his face.

     "What's bothering you?" Katsuki asked.

"Everything. I hate this disease... It's killing me." Izuku says.

     "Make it stop,"

"Kacchan, I can't just 'make it stop' with the flick of my fingers!" Izuku says and he looks at Katsuki. Katsuki still had a soft smile. His face was soft and his eyes had no anger.

"There are ways for it to stop,"

"I don't want the surgery," Izuku says. He knew he needed to weigh his options but he really didn't want to lose the love he had.

Izuku felt ridiculous thinking this way. Love over life? It was a valid point. But it was his point to make. He really didn't know if he could handle not being able to love. It's not like it would be the end of the world... right?

Izuku's heart wasn't with the idea.

"What do you want?" Katsuki asks and the world stilled as the wind slowed and the clouds separated.

"You..."

🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺

Izuku felt his hair being moved and he opened his eyes to see his mom. "Mom?" Izuku says as he sat up. Her eyes were puffy. She had been crying.

"Izuku honey... Why didn't you tell me?" Inko questions as she still messes with his hair.

"I'm sorry... I was scared..." Izuku admits and she hugs him. Izuku hugs back as tears fill his eyes. He felt so bad for keeping such a huge secret. But now it was out in the open.

🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺

Izuku made it back to the dorms, and it was already dark out. He opened the door and some people were there to see him walk in. Izuku did not seem happy. At all.

His expression was expressionless and his aura was so heavy hearted that even his friends could feel it from across the damn room.

"Hey... Midoriya. You okay?" Kirishima cautiously asked.

Izuku smiled but everything he put on for them, didn't reach his eyes. "Yeah. I'm fine."

With that Izuku walked away, away from everyone. Away from the crowd. They watched as he solemnly walked away.

They didn't notice the slips of papers and packet that Izuku had in his hands. Izuku clutched them to his chest and he tried not to cry. Izuku walked all the way to his room and shut the door softly. His room was dark, and the only light in the room was his lamp on his desk.

He dropped the papers to the ground, losing his grip on them. He then walks forward before his legs gave out and he collapsed to the floor. He starts to break down.

His world was crumbling. His body was deteriorating. His mind was breaking.

Someone knocked on the door but Izuku kept wailing. Form behind the door, Izuku sounded like he was having trouble breathing, and the person opened the door. Todoroki.

Todoroki closed the door, locking it. He knew nobody except him knew about his situation. "Midoriya..."

"STOP! I CAN'T!" Izuku yells. Todoroki sat down and brought Izuku into a hug. Izuku felt too weak and hurt. He fell into Shōto's embrace. "I'm dying..."

"I know..." Todoroki whispers as he rocked Izuku back and forth.

"It hurts... I hate my body..." Izuku says. Todoroki kept rocking Izuku back and forth in their hug.

"Don't say that... you should love your body,"

"I don't,"

"You should..." whispered Todoroki.

🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺

"You're back..." Katsuki says. The two were now star gazing. Looking at the stars and folded in a warm blanket. The two barely had any clothes on under this warm blanket. All they had were their boxers and each other.

"I see you stayed..." Izuku whisperers out as the starts twinkled.

"Always..."

The two felt the cool breeze and the flowers they laid atop on smelled fresh and newly bloomed.

Izuku rests his head on Katsuki's chest. "I wish I could stay her forever with you..."

"You can,"

"How?"

"Like I said earlier, make it stop..."
