Alex stood outside the school waiting for the bell to ring as more students arrived. He was reading a book when suddenly someone jumped on his back, almost tackling him to the ground. He saw a bunch of curly brown hair and automatically knew it was Peggy.

"Peggy, was that really necessary?" He asked as she wrapped her arms around his neck and pulled herself onto his back better.

"Of course it was Alex. Now show me."

"Show you what?"

"Your flower, you quiznack. What else."

"Isn't that from that show you watch?"

"That's not important. Now show meeeee."

He forcefully set her down and showed her the flower.

"Now tell me, how did you know about this."

"Gay™ sent me a text this morning and told me."

"You know I actually have a name right?" John said as he walked up to the two.

"Yes, but shut up Gay™, Alex is showing me his flower."

Alex laughed at the two. "So where's everyone else?" He asked.

"I don't know where Angie and Liza are, but I'm pretty sure I saw Hercules and the French fry somewhere." Peggy replied.

"Well then let's go find them."

The three set off in search of the rest of their group, finding Maria along the way who joined them. The bell rang before they could find everyone, but they quickly found them inside the building full of people. Saying a quick hello to each other, they headed to their separate classes.

It was finally lunch time and everyone made their way to the lunch room. Peggy, always the first to get food, grabbed the groups usual table in the back of the lunch room. It was isolated, letting them talk freely and as loudly as they wanted. Peggy practically flagged everyone down when she saw them, trying to get them to hurry up and sit down because she wanted to talk more about Alex's flower. She calmed down a bit upon seeing her girlfriend, the black-eyed susan nestled between the girl's collarbones that matched her own.

Lafayette soon joined them, the Bluebell on his wrist swaying as he walked.

"Bonjour mes amies! So, what has gotten everyone so excited?"

Peggy was still standing up, and she started bouncing. "Alex has an announcement to make."

Finally everyone reached the table and sat down. Peggy sat there grinning and bouncing in her seat as Alex laughed.

"Pegs, can't I at least finish eating?"

She calmed down slightly. "Fine."

Their lunch was a usual one. They talked about their weekend, told funny stories, planned to hang out at some point after school, and then finally Peggy couldn't take it anymore.

"Alex I swear to God if you don't show your flower I'mma flip."

"Alright, alright!" He chuckled. He moved his hair to show the alstroemeria behind his ear.

"Congratulations!" Angelica said.

"Do you have any idea who it is?" Eliza asked.

"No, but I figure it's someone in our group, seeing that I've had the most time to get to know everyone. But I know it isn't Peggy, Maria, Laf, or Herc. So that would leave you, Angelica, and John. I think I'm gonna rule out John though, since, y'know."

As Alex and the two girls started making plans, John couldn't help but feel a little jealous. He figured it was because almost all of his friends were going to be couples and he wasn't, but a small voice in the back of his head tried to tell him otherwise.

He quickly quieted the voice.
