THE VICTORY TOUR

September's life dragged on after her family's demise, only visiting August every once in a while.

But today was different.

Today was the start of her Victory Tour.

"Rise and shine Sugar Plum!" Luna cheers, walking in along with Aphrodite, and 3 people September didn't recognize.

"I'm already wake Luna." September points out.

"Yes, yes but, we have a prep team for you!" Luna cheers.

"This is Twinkle." Aphrodite points to a young woman, with dark hair and radiant eyes, no radiant everything. "That's Grace, or Gracie." She points to a woman with joyful eyes, and an energetic feel to her. "Then there's Thalia." She points to a woman who waved in a mother-like way at September.

"The Victory Tour isn't for a long time." September says.

"Yes, yes but you have to memorize your cards!" Luna beckons. "Aphrodite, go and get August. Come on! Quickly! He needs to get everything ready!"

"And what? What about me?" September asks.

"Come on! Let's look through your closet." Luna beckons, and September led the guide to her room, as Luna handed her a small paper card, and turned to her closet. "Read."

"Hello citizens of District blank. I am thankful for the honor to stand here on this stage, talking to you all. Your people, and the families of the children who have perished in the Hunger Games will be forever branded into my mind, not as enemies, but as heroes. Your children will be mark down as heroes, as any other Tribute, and the Capitol will thank you for their sacrifices, as well as I. I am grateful for the generosity of the Capitol, and so, Panem today, Panem tomorrow, Panem forever." September looks up at Luna, who was staring at a old jumpsuit that used to belong to November.

"That was good sweetheart." Luna smiles.

"It wasn't." September shook her head. "It's like I'm reciting from a drill manual."

"Oh, but it'll get better with practice!" Luna says, throwing the jumpsuit at her. "Go on, get changed."

Luna walked out of the room, and September slowly stripped off her clothes, and pulling the jumpsuit on. She grabbed a random jacket, and pulled it over herself. She regarded herself in the mirror.

The jumpsuit fit loosely on September, a faded orange, and the jacket, a faded red, as September pulled on a yellow scarf, and pulled on some shoes, before walking downstairs to meet August.

"Hello munchkin." August greets.

"Hello 8th month of the year." September mutters.

"Someone woke up on the wrong side of bed today." August laughs.

"Come on Sugar Plum, let's go!" Luna beckons. September took a good look at the Capitol people's outfits. Her prep team was dressed in white toga-like dresses, and her Stylist had a more princess-y feeling to hers. Luna was dressed in something that had the ambience of a starry night sky.

September walked shakily out of the door, and she could hear Caesar's voice cheering. "There she is! There's our Flower Girl!"

September walked in front of the cameras, putting on her camera face, and smiling.

"So, how are you September?" Caesar questions.

"Oh it's great. The house is huge, and I couldn't be happier that I survived The Hunger Games." September threw out a big lie. Truthfully, September loved small places, as it made her feel safe, and although the house had many rooms and hiding places, September was only one person, and was to busy trying to be the head of her house to play hide and seek.

"Well, isn't everyone?" Caesar laughs. "Well, we'll see you at the Capitol Flower Girl!"

"Bye!" September plastered her fake smile again, and once the cameras powered down, she let out a sigh.

"Come! Quickly now, we don't have any time for hanging around!" Luna orders.

As they boarded the train to District 12, the group sat in silence.

"When are we going to get there?" September asks.

"Very soon." Luna says.

"Alright." September looks down.

They surely did arrive soon, and as the gang from District 9 walked out, a surly, wheat-haired drunk came up to August and slapped him on the back in a friendly style.

"August!" He slurred.

"Haymitch." August smiles.

"You're Miss Flower Girl! You're spunky. I like you." Haymitch smiles, reeking of liquor.

"Thanks?" September questions.

"My Tributes didn't listen to me. Which is why they died." Haymitch laughs.

"Well, we need to go now Haymitch." Luna orders.

"Yes, yes." Haymitch continued laughing, as they walked into their Justice Building.

"And now, let's welcome our newest Victor, September Fernsby!" The mayor says, and September walks out.

District 12 was the epitome of poor. The kids and adults had coal-covered faces, although it definitely looked like they made an effort to clean up. A girl offered her some flowers, and she took it, smiling at her.

September repeated her speech, nearly saying District Blank, instead of District 12, and her eyes drifted through out the crowd, and landed on a few people.

First off, was a small, blonde haired, blue eyed girl, that stood out from the crowd. Another girl, who September thought must've been her sister, was about her age, and had starling gray eyes, and dark brown hair. Then another male, who looked almost exactly like the brown-haired girl, and the same in age, who September thought was her cousin, stood her them, with his own family. Then she stared at a stocky, ash blonde, blue eyed male, who also looked about her age. He was staring at the brown-haired girl with a love-struck look.

Then September stared at Mist and Ash's family.

They were standing in the same podium.

They were siblings.

"Panem today. Panem tomorrow. Panem forever." September says, and the District slowly claps, as September walked into the Justice Building.

She just needed to do this multiple times.

In 11, September thought that Chaff was an alright guy, but Seeder, the best out of the two. She breezed through her cards, and was then brought to District 10.

She didn't linger long as well. In and out. That's what it was. This was protocol for now.

Districts 5-8 were uneventful, then District 4 blew her away.

It wasn't the salty air, nor the richness of the land.

It was the cheering.

Loud cheering broke through as she entered. Loud cheering as she finished her speech. Someone aspiring to be her. Someone wanting to kiss her.

It was too much. Didn't she kill their children?

No, of course the family was staring at her, with a mixture of hate and pity.

And yet, after 3, District 1 and 2 were the same.

It disgusted her, but weren't those 3 districts Career Districts? They were brainwashed to believe this.

September sat down on the train, heading toward the Capitol.

"The biggest event, and where you'll meet most of the Tributes who even bothered to come, or stay." August informs.

"Oh great. Just what I needed." September sighs. "Maybe Haymitch had the right idea. Drink until you forget or something."

"You will not drink alright? You're underage." August scolds.

"Don't tell me what to do." September sasses.

"Come on August, let the girl live!" Aphrodite grins.

"If you get taken advantage of, don't come crying to me."  August points at September.

"Boo. Using my fears against me." September sighs, propping her feet up on the table.

"Get off of that Sugar Plum! That is mahogany!" Luna orders.

"Sorry." September mutters.
