They say pink and black doesn't go together.

I know better. I know that they even go together perfectly. That they match one another in perfect sync.

My eyes traced my own shape as I looked at myself in the mirror; usual worn out chucks, dark jeans and black hoodie, together with my pink sparkling nails I had freshly painted.

I heard faint steps behind me and locked eyes with the blonde through the mirror.

Chris wore a barely curious expression as he cocked an eyebrow, "You graduated."

I nodded, "Yeah. I'm happy you noticed."

"But you didn't seem all so excited about it." He stated, ignoring my snide sarcasm.

His words caused me to shrug, "Dunno what to be excited about. It's not like I'll miss what I had here."

He scoffed but let my answer uncommented, "And what are you going to do now?"

"I'll probably study psychology at University." That was, if I'm being honest, the only thing plausible to me but Chris shook his head.

"No, I meant what are you going to do now?"

"Oh" I grinned.

"Now I'm going to go to Suwon."

It's seriously worth it to have a friend with a driving license, like wow so many possibilities.

One of them being, to be capable of not missing out your best friend's graduation party.

I hadn't have any contact with Tae since that encounter on the Fortress. But he asked me to come, so here I was and nothing in this unholy world could've stopped me from coming.

The whole event was just like Tae had described it; a very family friendly, formal come-together of parents, teachers and students who probably couldn't wait to finally leave this shit-hole.

Spotting Taehyung was one of the easiest things, I just had to look out for a lonely pink dot in the crowd, the only one without any family.

I hopped toward the rather lost looking boy, feeling a wave of happiness wash over me that almost swept me off my feet at the sight of him.

He didn't notice me all at once, too busy with staring envious at the happily laughing families, giving me the opportunity to look him up and down.

The baby blue school uniform fit hilariously well to his freshly pink dyed hair and pastel pink colored nails (where'd he even get this from, I thought this stuff was forbidden at his school). He had applied a bit of make-up, considering the event and his hair was adorned by a pastel blue-glittery hair clip.

This right there was the Taehyung I knew. The Taehyung I missed so so so so so much. Oh my gosh, my heart literally hurt at the sight of the cute little hear clip and the familiar, freckly cheeks.

"Hey, Hello Kitty."

"So, apparently you didn't do growing while I wasn't there."

"I'm going to cut off your toes if you mpf-"

My words got muffled in Tae's chest as he pressed me into him, giving me once again the opportunity to experience how different I felt with him, compared to everyone else.

Safe. Warm. Myself.

Just a few of the disgustingly cheesy things he made me feel.

A content sigh escaped the pink hair's lips and I felt him resting his chin on top of my head, "Y'know I dyed my hair especially for you. Please praise me, I almost got caught by the teachers."

"The color makes you look even prettier, you big baby."

"Scratch the last part and we're good." He joked and I laughed together with him, while he still had his arms wrapped around my torso.

The moment felt so good. So harmonic. Of course it couldn't last long.

"I can't believe that you're still as ugly as you used to be."

I swear I felt Renjun's saliva drops on my cheeks, what made me stiffen in Taehyung's arms, just like the mere fact that his adoptive parents actually came.

Tae quickly tightened his grip around me, before completely letting go and facing this violent person who was supposed to be his father.

"I thought you wouldn't come." Taehyung said honestly.

Catherine flinched behind her husband, wether because she was hurt or because she'd been bitten by a mosquito was hard to tell, while Renjun's almost constantly present frown deepened, "Don't be so ungrateful. You can be happy that we turned up in the first place."

I didn't quite see what Tae should be happy about here but, just like with my last encounter with his adoptive dad, I wasn't able to say anything, just watch.

The pink haired boy boy didn't say anything, just stared at a point on the wall, somewhere behind the scary man.

"What? Use your words fag!"

Taehyung licked his lips before - well, using his words.

I mean, I knew Tae had earned a bit of courage during the last years - because of me according to himself, but this was a bit different.

"I don't want you to use this disgusting word Renjun. Also, I want you to stop insisting that I'm gay because I'm not. Pansexuality is not the same as Homosexuality and it's extremely disrespectful to deliberately ignore this fact, we talked about this."

slap

Taehyung's face was turned to the side, now directly facing me, who couldn't do anything but staring frozen at the scene in front of her, fists clenched at both of her sides. His gaze was empty, not meeting mine or anything at all.

slap

Now he is on the floor.

He cries.

What brings me back to the beginning of my tale.
