Chapter 25

A/N: The video above does not belong to me. It belongs to the person who uploaded it on YouTube.

Please watch till the end of the video where Godt closes his eyes when he and Bas share a hug which tells us that he was feeling it.

This is a continuation of chapter 22

Third Person POV

"My baby Bas, my baby Bas," Godt was saying over and over again through his tears of joy as he hugged Bas so tightly that Bas felt he could not breathe.

"Phi Godt... Phi..." Bas tried to say, unable to move away, feeling Godt's warm breath against the side of his neck and feeling Godt's hot tears trickle down his skin.

Finally after what seemed like forever, Godt broke away but continued to hold on to Bas' waist.

Dun, who earlier, was content to just be an onlooker, moved forward and took Bas by the wrist.

"If you're finished talking to your friend, come, let's have breakfast together," he urged Bas.

Godt overheard Dun's words and hastened to correct Dun's misconception.

"It seems that Bas hasn't told you all about me," Godt addressed Dun for the first time since he came into the scene.

Dun ignored Godt and looked into Bas' eyes, waiting for Bas to accept his invitation to have breakfast together.

Just at that moment, Maxky happened to walk into the dining hall and caught sight of Bas who was facing the entrance so people  walking in could easily see his face.

"Bas! Ohmygahd!"

"Phi Max!!!"

Bas broke free of Godt and Dun and ran over to Maxky, tears streaming down his face.

"I honestly thought I would never see you again," Bas sobbed in happiness, savoring the feel of Maxky's arms around him.

Dun and Godt looked at each other, unable to decide what to do next.

They stood by the counter where the tea kettle was, waiting for Bas to settle down from his emotional upheaval.

When it seemed like Bas wasn't going to let go of his Phi Maxky, an inspiration dawned on Dun. He went over to the counter by the wall and picked up the tea cup that Bas had abandoned earlier, filled it up with more hot green tea and then carefully approached Bas.

"Sweetheart," he addressed Bas, loud enough for Maxky to hear.  "Your tea is getting cold."

At the same time, Godt suddenly recognized the face of Maxky. He was the self-appointed leader of the room where Godt had been assigned to!

Godt pulled Bas away from Maxky, while at the same time extending his hand to Maxky.

"Let me introduce myself to you once more," Godt said, a look of grim determination all over his face. "I am Godt and I am Bas' fiance. We were preparing to have our wedding ceremony officiated by the head of the temple in our city but that monk suddenly passed away from a heart illness. Bas and I lost touch and I have been looking for him all these years. It seems that this storm has turned out to be a blessing in disguise for me because it has brought Bas back to me."

Maxky ignored Godt's extended hand and turned to Bas.

"Is all of what he is saying true, Bas?" Maxky asked in a tight voice.

Bas was aware that a huge chunk of the events that Godt claimed to have happened had been exaggerated. He and Godt had only spoken casually about getting married but never really discussed it seriously. Godt had never been officially his fiance.

"Umm..." Bas had to think carefully about what to say to Maxky without putting Godt on the spot.

"We did talk about getting married when we were boyfriends..." Bas started to say when Maxky interrupted him.

"Okay, so let me make things clear, so you're using the term 'boyfriend' and not 'fiance' when referring to this gentlemen," Maxky said, unable to keep the hostility from his voice.

Bas nodded, unable to meet the piercing gaze of his phi Godt.
