Jake's pov:

I was walking into school holding Sally's hand. We were having a nice chat then I saw someone glaring at me in the corner of my eye.

I turned my head to look at the person. I instantly regretted it. Penelope was glaring at me. Penelope was my ex. I broke up with her years ago now we hated each other.

I turned my head away to ignore her and continued to speak to Sally but I could sense someone staring at me.

I just said goodbye to Sally and now I was in my class. Honey was in my class which is top set of course. I grabbed my maths book and sat down next to Honey then I said, "Ji."  "Hello Jake." She replied. "So how's your day been so far?" I asked .

"Good. How has your's been?" She replied smiling. "Ok I guess." I said then our teacher, Mrs Merkel blew her whistle and told us to shut up. Everybody went silent.

"Now do this worksheet." Mrs Merkel said handing out the sheet. Honey finished the sheet in 2 minutes then she got her book out to read because the teacher didn't have any more work to give out. "Your such a nerd Honey." I heard someone whisper. I looked around to see who it was.

It was Darren Fletcher, the school bully. "I'm not a nerd." Honey replied quietly . "Is there a problem here?" Mrs Merkel said walking over to us. "Um no miss." Honey replied as Darren glaring at her.

"Ok just no talking." She said then sat down at her desk. "You're an orange weak little nerd. I feel bad for Archie. Dating you." Darren said looking disgusted. Honey just stayed silent. I started to feel bad for her so I decided to help.

"Shut up. Your name is Darren." I said. Darren didn't say anything then I realised the teacher was staring at us. "Ok class a couple more minutes til the end of class and no talking." She said then she started to walk around the classroom.

"You shut up. Your dating Sally. She's such an overprotective creep." Darren replied when the teacher walked past us. I sighed angrily. Deep breaths.

I couldn't get isolation on the first day back. The bell rang. I grabbed my stuff and rushed out the class. "Thanks for defending me and sorry for him." Honey said. "It's fine. That's what friends do. Anyways bye I've got pe now." I said then I left.
