Jake's pov:

I was sitting down at a table eating space raider crisps at dinner, alone. I was alone because my girlfriend Sally had once again ended up in isolation for her behaviour.

She was always skipping lesson and swearing at teachers but as soon as I get a little angry she's telling me to calm down and stop acting crazy.

Anyways she is my beautiful girlfriend and she is perfect for me so it's fine if she's a bit controlling. I looked around the cafeteria observing people.

I spotted a group of popular kids on a massive table crowding around the most popular, Elsie. I also saw a group of outcasts in a corner talking and laughing loud.

Then I spotted Penelope, Archie and Honey.Penelope used to be my girlfriend, my one and only, my one true love but I broke up with her because I realised how bad she was.

My parents tried to warn me all along but I didn't listen because they usually never care about me and just lie.

We broke up years ago but she still goes to same school as me, we're neighbours and now I have to do a project with her so there's no escape really.

Honey and Archie are the lovey dovey couple. Apparently Elsie was flirting with Archie the other day even after they had a fight.

I checked the time on my phone and it was only one o'clock so there was still twenty minutes left of break so I decided to speak to Penelope about the project.

I finished my space raiders and chucked the wrapper in the bin then I walked over to them. I stopped when I reached them and stood there silently for a couple seconds then I remembered why I was there.

"Hello Penelope. I've just come over to ask when and where to meet for the project." I said quickly.

"Oh yeah um I'll come to your house after school." Penelope replied. I nodded then I left speedily.

'Fuck that was so fucking awkward. I thought things would be back to normal by now.' I thought as I sat down.

I saw a pair of eyes staring at me and I knew it was Penelope. By now I'm pretty sure she has a staring problem.

I got my phone out again and looked through pictures of Sally. A couple minutes later I heard someone calling my name so I looked up and saw Sally standing in front of me.

She came closer to me and gave me a hug which I happily returned. When we separated I asked " I thought you were supposed to be in isolation for the day? "

"Oh i just walked out because you are more important." she replied then she kissed me sweetly.

"Thanks I guess" I said then the bell rang. "See u tomorrow Sally." I said to her cuz we had different classes and she always got detentions.
