Jake's pov:

I was very pissed . I wanted to be with Sally but no I was with Penelope. She's so annoying and ugly now I had to work with her. I groaned.

I knew there was no negotiating with Mrs Samiya so I had to be Penelope's partner. I was now out of school and walking home. I reached my door and went in.

"Hello. I'm back. Honey?" I said expecting Honey to reply but she didn't then I saw her with our mum and dad. They were treating Honey like she was an only child.

"Oh my your grades are so amazing. You deserve to have anything you want." They said grinning at her. "Yeah but what about Jake? He gets good grades." Honey replied.

Their smiles faded. "Who sweetie?" My mum asked. I couldn't take it anymore so I just ran to my room, slammed my door and sat down against it angrily.

Narrator's pov:

Singing was a way for Jake and Penelope to get their emotions out so that's what they did. Penelope was stood, gazing out of her bedroom window.

"Oh why! Oh why did you do this to me? You broke my heart in two, don't u see? You know I wish I never met you because you gave me heartbreak..." She sung.

"Oh Penelope if you hear me now. I just want you.to know I hope you get hit by a cow  . You're such a liar, such a villain, such a heartbreaker..." Jake sang staring up at his bedroom ceiling.

"I hope you know that when I glare at you, it's because I think of all the good times we shared and how those could've lasted!" Penelope shouted as she started to move around her room.

"Oh why, oh why?! Didn't I listen to my parents?! Though to be fair they treat me so badly so no wonder I fell for your tricks!" Jake shouted then he opened his window.

"Jake if you can hear me now, I just want you to know that I hate you with all my heart! I'm so heart broken!" Penelope shouted while opening her window.

Jake heard Penelope. "Penelope I do hear you now and I want you to know that the feelings mutual!" He shouted.

Penelope was shocked that he heard her and she quickly locked her window. "Oh no he heard me... What does that mean for tomorrow when we return to the place we don't want to return... Middleton high..." She whispered.

Jake quickly and aggressively locked his window. "Oh Sally? What would u think if you heard me now? That I'm not worthy of you? That I'm just an angry heartbroken mess?" Jake whispered.

"Why oh why, did you break up with me?! Is it because I'm not good enough?! Why don't you just explain it to me!?" Penelope started to shout again.

"Penelope if you want an explanation I don't think you deserve one that I know for sureeee!" Jake sang.

Penelope opened her window and shouted out of it again. "You know what! I don't care if you hear me! You're just a dick! Now I feel like I'm truly freeeee!"

Jake heard her and decided to open his window so he could reply. "You know what, I fully agree, you can get lost! Go climb a tree! If I think I care I really don'tttt!" 

"That's it I don't care if you live or die!You can go missing for all I care! Because I hate youuuu!" Penelope replied.

"Penelope I do hear you again! And the feelings still mutuallllll!" Jake shouted.

Suddenly a neighbour opened his window fed up of the shouting. "Can you kids shut up?! I'm trying to watch the news! But I can't hear it because you're shouting too loud no one cares about how much you hate each other!"

"Sorry!" Jake and Penelope apologised. They locked their windows and burst out laughing. Nora entered Penelope's room and Honey entered Jake's room.

They both asked, "Are you ok? I heard.... Singing." Penelope and Jake were now smiling. They nodded. They were fine.
