Hope is the one thing we have no matter what. It is only when we give up hope that we truly give up. As long as we have hope, no matter how deep it is in our subconscious, we can still succeed.
This is what happened to me. Most people in my situation would have given up hope and many times I thought I had but apparently I haven't or else I wouldn't be here telling you this story. Oh wait! I forgot to introduce myself. You guys have just been hearing me ramble about how hope is all we have.
Anyways! My name is Adrianna. Adrianna Waterwork. This is the story of how I should've given up hope many times but never did because I am not one to give up.
It all started on a normal school day in the always sunny town of Carlise. I was walking to school when the most popular girl in our town, you know the type, super-rich, prom queen, captain of the cheer-leading team, dating the quarterback of the football team, mean to those who aren't in her circle of friends and not to mention adults think she is absolutely perfect. Anyways her name is Brittany Matthews and she was driving in her brand-new BMW that Daddy bought for her and she decided to splash me. Now I was all wet and she was laughing all the way to school. I rolled my eyes and kept walking, knowing she would get there first and be able to laugh at me with her stupid friends. Halfway there, I hear a horn honking and I turn and see one of my only friends driving his dad's pickup truck. I shake my head knowing how much shit Cam is going to get for this.
Cameron Garrison. My best friend since we were four and he moved here with his dad after his parent's divorce. A huge geek and lover of cars which totally never matched in my opinion. He stops the truck beside me.
"Want a ride?" He asks with a smirk.
"I was told not to get into a stranger's car." I respond with a smirk.
"I've got candy." I chuckle and shake my head as I hop into the truck.
"How much shit are you going to get for using his truck? Because last time, you were grounded for the entire summer and the only reason you got out of that within a week was because your dad got sick of hearing you spit science facts from your room." I say as he starts up the truck and drives the rest of the way there.
"None. His latest girlfriend gave him a new one so this baby is now mine." Cam says, sending me a smirk.
"Oh no. What evil plans do you have for this one?" Every time Samuel Garrison gets a new girlfriend, Cameron sabotages it. Simply because he wants his parents back together so they can be one happy family again.
"What makes you think I am going to do something?" I give him a flat look as he pulls into our school's parking lot. The two of us chuckle as we hop out of the truck and head into school. When we get to our lockers, Scar and Alex were waiting for us.
Scarlett Armstrong and Alexander Andrews have been our best friends since third grade when the cousins were sent to live with their grandparents. The four of us are known in school as the weird crew which we all consider a compliment. The four of us head off to our homeroom class which we all have been in the same class since forever because we have very few people who go to our high school. When we get there and take our usual seats, the bell rings.
"Good morning class. This morning we have a new student joining us. So please welcome....." There was suddenly a bang and all hell broke loose in the classroom.
