Chapter 4- Scavenger Hunt
The Teen Titans were just beginning to question why their leader hadn't shown himself since early in the morning. He had skipped breakfast for some unknown reason. Sure, they boys had been thrilled that they didn't have to patrol, but they were still curious.
They then decided to send Starfire to his room to investigate. She was the only person who Robin would ever open up around, so she seemed like their best option.
Soon enough she returned with a white slip of paper within her hands," Friends, I believe I have horrible news as to where Robin is."
They all looked up as she read the note.
"He probably fine, Star." Cyborg comforted once Starfire finished reading the note.
"Yeah, and if he did get into trouble don't you think he would call us?" Raven told her. Robin would surely contact them for help if he were to get himself into a problem even he couldn't handle.
"Or he is already dead and he can't contact us!" Beast Boy yelled causing Starfire to scream and Raven to smack Beast Boy at the top of his head," So, that's exactly why we should search for him. Hm... Where would Robin be?" Beast Boy asked himself. He began to stroll towards the large computer, but Raven pulled him back.
"He's probably in Gotham." Raven replied nonchalantly. The team stared at her wide-eyed. Did she just use some demon magic to track down Robin?
"Don't look at me like that. Robin was in Gotham before he met us. He probably grew up there. So, that's where he most likely is."
"I so knew that," Beast Boy nudged Cyborg with his elbow," Keep up, Cyborg."
"So are we headed to this Gotham?" Starfire asked excited.
"No, Robin doesn't want us searching for him. He deserves his privacy as much as we do."
Beast Boy plopped himself on the Ops room couches. He had to convince the team to search for Robin somehow. He transformed into some of the few smartest animals he could think of, then it hit him," Do you guys ever notice how much we really don't know about Robin?"
"Your point?" Raven questioned.
"My point is that he doesn't really trust us. We don't know his name, past, or even eye color. Doesn't that seem weird to you? I mean, we've been a team for almost three years now. Think about it- our leader, doesn't trust us."
"I once asked friend Robin about his past, but he did the changing of the subject." Starfire spoke up realizing what Beast Boy was saying.
"Exactly, and I think we at least deserve to know something about him."
Cyborg spoke up this time," It's not like we've all exactly spilled our pasts, BB. So, we should be bugging him to do something we haven't."
"Yeah, but we can't go back to our pasts. Robin still can. He never mentions anything about his life. For all we know he could have been born in Romania or something."
"That's crazy. Okay, sure, he hasn't told us everything but-" Raven was interrupted.
"But he doesn't trust us. There would honestly be no better reason for him not telling us the truth. So, I am going to search for Robin with or without your help." He headed towards their large computer screen, but stopped as he heard Stars voice.
"I shall assist you, because I too, am curious."
"Me too." Cyborg smiled," Even if I regret it, I need to know something about the Boy Wonder. He can do whatever he wants to me for disobeying him, but I am also really curious. So, I'll help you."
They all turned to Raven," So Rae, you in or out?"
"No, he deserves his privacy. We can ask him about this when he comes back."
"Though aren't you curious about his past or about who The Boy Wonder really is?"
She didn't respond, so Beast Boy continued," If you are the littlest bit curious, then you have to help us. We could find something out, and if he's not in Gotham then we'll ask him when he comes back."
She stared at her team mates for a few seconds before speaking," If Robin isn't back within three days then I will help you. Those are my terms. Either that, or we don't search for him at all." She knew that Robin wanted his privacy. She understood that the most. Especially, when her birthday had passed and the world almost ended. She had definitely wanted privacy then, but then again keeping quiet wasn't exactly one of the best choices she made on that day.
"Good enough," Beast Boy cheered," And when he doesn't come back, our first step is to head to Gotham."
"Deal." Raven nodded as she stood up and headed towards her room to meditate.
Though Beast Boy spoke up before she left," Don't even think about it as searching for him. Just think about it as more of a scavenger hunt." Raven raised an eyebrow and mumbled," Mhm."
Hopefully, Robin wouldn't be too upset when he found out that they disobeyed his rules because something told Raven that he wasn't going to return in three days. Though she wondered if they would really find out the truth about Robin. And if they did, what was his past like? Good or Bad? Bright or Dark? Whatever it was, she just hoped the team would find out soon after looking for him and they wouldn't be caught by Robin.
