Collateral Damage
I was starstruck,
By your soul ethereal,
Supernova,
I was blinded,
Wrapped in your webs so seductive.
Soon I was dancing on a string,
No safety net to break my fall,
But fear never touched my skin,
As you sang your song hypnotic,
Your love replacing the blood in my veins.
Then I was yours,
Body, heart, mind and soul,
Too addicted to let you go,
As you sunk your fangs into my skin fragile,
Bleeding me dry until I could breathe no more.
Now I'm a story forgotten,
My name lost on your lips,
Hidden behind your perfect smile was something more than charming,
After all I was never meant to be your princess,
I was always collateral damage.
