Melodie and Vinny were talking. They were on their way to visit friends in Colorado. "-and Mom said that she was happy you were seeing the world and is glad that you're doing great academically." Vinny reported. "Mel?" He asked, seeing that Melodie had spaced out. Vinny looked over to where Melodie was staring. 

There across and a few seats ahead sat a girl with dark and silky hair. "...Kir.." Melodie murmured. "What?" Vinny asked. "I went to several places last year. Back to England, where I was born, around Europe, then to Asia for a bit, where I spend the second half of college. Kiryomi and Quinn had been my mates there." She said. 

"Oh. Go say hi to her then! It's been like five months since you last saw her, right?" He said. "ohnonononoicannot-" Melodie replied quickly. "Why?" "She is way too cool for me. What if she forgot about me? what if she got better friends? what if-" Melodie fretted. "You worry too much. C'mon." Vinny nudged her. 

Somehow, she tripped over his shoe and ended up falling right by Kiryomi. "...god dammit Vin.." She mutters, standing up and dusting her shorts off. "Melodie..?" Kiryomi looked at her. "O-oh hey." She smiled, trying to play it cool but failing miserably. "It's been years. I thought you were going to leave forever." Kiryomi explained. "Oh. Well. I didn't." Melodie replied. "You still are as adorable and aloof as when we were in college." She chuckled. "H-huh? What's that supposed to mean?" Melodie's face flushed red.

"So... she didn't know this was staged...?" Kiryomi asked Vinny. "Yeah. Clueless." Vinny answered. "Staged?" Melodie asked, confused. "Yeah. I arranged tickets to come with you guys. I.. I wanted to see you again." Kiryomi said. Melodie hugged Kiryomi, following with a billion thank-you's and a kiss on the cheek.

Kiryomi's face became a slight blush as she said, "No problem."
