Jane made dinner. A simple flatbread pizza. She made half of it pepperoni and half olives. Adora smiled and took a slice of pepperoni. "You're really good at making food." She said, "It's crazy."

Jane shrugs. "Eh. It's easy to follow the right recipes." She finished the remaining crust of what was once a slice of olive pizza. "Well, still. Aphrodite and I tried to make a pizza for Kai's birthday last year and it got burnt." Adora insisted. "Oh?-" Jane tried not to sound hurt by the mention of names.

Jane and Aphrodite used to be close. Keywords being 'Used to be.' They actually were a thing for a few weeks, until it was an endless game of who said what and a toxic friend of Jane's made up a bunch of lies and ruined their relationship. Jane still hated that friend for causing Aphrodite to distance herself from her.

They did try to make up but they both became busy with their own lives. It only half shocked Jane that Adora would end up befriending Aphrodite. Then again, Jane had found that Adora could end up friends with anyone. She was that friendly.

And about Kai. Jane knew Kai liked Adora. A lot. It was adorable really. And Adora felt the same. She would cheer them on completely, but first, the two were so awkward that neither wanted to bring it up, and second, Jane honestly couldn't bear to see Adora with anyone. It hurt her to think about it, though she couldn't see why.

"That was sweet. I hope they still liked it..?" Jane said, a half question. "Yeah. We all went out for dinner at the diner that night." Adora answered, seeming to reminisce about the night. "Mhm. That's cool. So when are you going to tell them?" Jane inquired, faint teasing.

"-oh.. yeah.." Adora said. "...Kai actually liked someone else. I didn't tell them or anything but they told me so." She frowned. "I-" Jane was furious. Kai literally could be in a loving relationship with Adora by now but no. Of course not!

A horrid thought crossed her mind. If they weren't going to, then she could. Jane hated the thought as soon as it crossed her kind. It felt disgusting to think such a thing, but at the same time, she felt a warmth from Adora's smile.

Adora looked slightly confused. "You okay, Jane?" She asked. "-yeah... it's all good." Jane nods. "Alright, and Kai replied to my texts!" Adora said, smiling. "Ooh. That's cool." Jane sat next to her. She scrolled on her phone for about thirty minutes when she felt something.

Adora fell asleep and laid her head on Jane's shoulder. "...oh." Jane murmured. She blushed when she suddenly got a call. "..huh..?" She answers the call, realizing it's a FaceTime.

"Jane... Can you pick me up..? I don't trust the Uber my friends got into..." Aphrodite, the person on the other end of the line, asked. "..Aph? Are you drunk? What happened?" Jane demanded. "-long story. Just.. please?" Aphrodite pleads. "Alright..." Jane sighed.

Adora, just waking up, yawned. "..Can I go with..?" She asked, giving Jane the puppy eyes. "Fine." Jane said. She carried Adora to the car and they drove to Aphrodite's location to pick her up.
