Annie walked over to her house. She was holding back tears. Her hands quivered as she opened the door, trying so hard not to cry.

Alicia looked up at the door. She had been waiting for Annie to come home. Annie had been at a gymnastics meet, and Alicia was planning a surprise for her when she came back.

Annie walks in. "...I'm back.." she says. "Yay!" Alicia cheered, then gave a look of concern. "Are you okay?" Alicia asks. "No... I failed so badly. I was so off my game today..." Annie says.

"Well... I made you a cake.. even if you didn't win." Alicia said. This makes Annie start to laugh. "Oh please, you and I both know you can't bake." Annie chuckled. "Yeah, you're right. I got it from a bakery." Alicia says.

"...It's still a good selection of a flavor. Really good as well." Annie comments. "Only the best for you." Alicia says.

After they eat part of the cake, they go into the living room. "Enough about my disaster from today. How was your day? You always have wacky mishaps and zany stories about your days." Annie inquired, leaning into Alicia.

"Ran into two old friends, they were telling me about a company they own, and apparently the company has ownership of a bakery and they let me have a coupon for that. Isn't that sweet?" Alicia says.

"Wow, that's really cool." Annie says, half-heartedly, and starts to fall asleep on Alicia. "...Well... I'm willing to risk the circulation in my legs for her." Alicia says to herself as she and Annie fall asleep on the couch together.
