Aphrodite finished setting up the area. She and Kai had lived together for ten months and within that time frame have been dating. She thought it was about time for her to propose.

She sent Kai a text saying to come back to the house at 9 pm. While Kai was out , Aphrodite set up the room. She filled it with little lanterns and fancy decor. "Woo." She said tiredly as she finished. 

It had been 8:55 when Kai arrived. "Hope you don't mind that I'm early." They said. "Oh no. It's fine." Aphrodite smiled. They sat at the table in the middle of the room. 

They ate the meals and each drank a glass of wine. "I guess there's no better time than now." Kai said. They kneeled on one knee. "Kai! I was going to propose too!-" Aphrodite said. "Oh-"

"Well.. will we?-" Kai asked. "We will." Aphrodite answered. They each handed the other an engagement ring and then kissed.
