A group of friends were hanging at the beach. Most of the group were close in school, with a few additional people, and thought it would be fun to head by the coast. On the road trip there, Quinn had enjoyed jokingly teasing everyone. After all, Kiryomi and Melodie recently were together. Alex had recently told the group about his crush on someone from another state. 

Altogether, Quinn found it fun to tease them about their love lives, but they couldn't help but wish they had a partner too. Quinn always had a hard time deciphering if someone liked them or was just being nice.

The sun set and the group sat around a fire. They were sharing stories. As the night grew long, someone had fallen asleep on Quinn's shoulder. Though Quinn had gotten along great with everyone, they didn't know a lot about this person. All they knew was his name was Cody and that he was a friend of Alex's. 

"..Uh.." Quinn didn't know how to react. Their face was red. Oh god, not this again. 

"Cody. Wake up." Kiryomi said. Cody's eyes opened. "..hm..?" He blinked off the sleepiness. "...Oh- I am so sorry-" Cody said, his face flushing from embarrassment. "It's fine." Quinn said. Oh god why did they say that? Who says that? 'It'S fInE!' 

The next few days, Cody had been hanging around Quinn a lot more. On the last day at the beach, the two sat on the cliff near the sea. "This was fun." Quinn said. "Yeah." Cody agreed. "...I have something to ask.." Quinn suddenly said, regretting the words as they came out. "Oh- same- you go first though." Cody replied.

"At once?" Quinn offered. "Alright." Cody said.

"Do you like me?" They asked each other. "..."

Cody smiled. Quinn's face grew red. 

"..yeah.." Quinn murmured. "...Well, I do too." Cody whispered.
