Chapter One. Unlucky Normal Day.

[LOUISE]

7th October

It's been two weeks. Two weeks since Harold Kingston died in front of her.

Louise didn't know what to feel during those two weeks. At first it was pain and sorrow, then it was grief, now it was numbness with grief still lingering in her bones. She was used to feeling these certain emotions during the times when she was still with her mother, but never felt like somebody carved a bigger hole to her chest. She thought it must be her brother's death that had taken its final straw. What was once she thought was hope faded away, replacing it with bitterness in agony. Even the nightmares she had were more bearable than this feeling.

As she walked by the pathway to  school, she couldn't help but think about the sight she witnessed that day, how everything in the house got all so messed up that her dad decided to repaint the whole hallway because the blood stains couldn't come off. Whoever was in her house must have used something that is really hard enough to get blood on the walls but it couldn't be a knife or else she would've noticed, she then remembered the marks on his back. The blade seemed a lot larger than a mere knife so she assumed it must be either an ax or any other tools that had a large blade.

She was too deep in her thoughts when she accidentally bumped into someone. Louise almost fell but a pair of strong arms gripped her from causing a head concussion. She looked up to see a pair of mischievous eyes staring back at her.

"Easy there sweetheart, you need to watch where you're going." William Presley said with an audacious tone. His lips then curved up as he saw who he bumped into. "Well, well, if it isn't the pain in the ass herself."

Louise bristled and pulled herself away from him. She then quickly dusted her jacket away before turning back to him and asked. "What are you doing here?"

"No thank you or whatever? Wow, I'm kind of offended." He tutted. "I was just enjoying nature, you see." William gestured to the scenery in front of them.

She narrowed her eyes at him in a skeptical manner. William wasn't really the type to enjoy scenery so she knew there must be another one of his plans. After all, he caused a lot of trouble for her the whenever he tried to sabotage her science projects.

It's not like they're enemies or anything, Louise would say, it's just that she and William Presley didn't get along very well. Whenever they met, she always seemed to be the new target for him, silently taunting and teasing her, circling around her like an orbit ever since she first moved here. No matter how much she avoided him, William would always to be glued to her like a fly, whether she liked it or not. Though, there might be some occasions where she was really pissed off at him when he was being extra annoying that day.

William felt the scrutiny on him and quickly clarified. "Alright, fine. I was just examining someone's car just down by the block."

     "Who?"

"That later, you will find out soon because I'm not done with my plan yet." He winked at her before muttering. "Someone or should I say a certain asshole threw eggs and shit at my house so I'm returning a favor."

Louise had a feeling on who it was but decided not to comment on it as she knew William was relentless when he's on his revenge mode. All she could do was send mental thoughts and prayers.

"Whatever, we're almost on the way to Springfield, you wanna come?" Louise offered.

William shook his head, "Nah, I gotta put some finishing touches before the surprise. See ya in class, Kingston."

With that, she watched him make his way over to the parking lot where his friends were waiting for him. Louise stood by for a few seconds more before turning her direction to the school building.

When she got there, she headed straight for her locker. As she was taking out the necessary books and things for today's schedule, she heard a familiar clinking of boots behind her. Without turning around, she asked, "is there anything you need, Beth?"

Elizabeth, or Beth Mendoza, one of the only friends she hung out the most in school, chuckled. "You really just can't be surprised at anything, can't you?"

Louise turned around to find the other girl standing there in a dress and her usual chunky boots. Her brown hair flowed down naturally to her back and her face had a natural glow to them, making her look as flawless as ever.

It's hard to imagine that she, who's quite an outcast and still considered a newbie to this town despite living here since middle school, could ever be friends with someone who's a part of a popular girls cliché like her. But she guessed that not every clichés has to be one. It may seem surreal at first to Louise, but after she found the girl crying on the bathroom floor back then, it just clicked. And she was quite glad that she ditched her class anyway for that reason. Beth was a good company and had always stuck by her since then. Even more now as she and Louise were both in their junior year at Springfield High and shared classes together.

Louise took one look at her and noted. "You're wearing white today." She gestured to her boots.

Beth raised an eyebrow "Is that all you have to say about me? Just about my shoe choice?"

The wavy blonde-haired's response was a shrug. "Well what else is there to say?" before she broke into a small smile. "I'm kidding, you look much better than with that 'someone'."

Beth rolled her eyes. "You know it's fine if you just say his name, I'm not that interested in him anymore."

"He will always be 'someone' to me." Louise declared. "And will be in the future."

"Whatever you say, Louie." The other girl linked arms with her. "Now let's go to our Math class before Mr. Grant scolds us, shall we?" And off they went.

The rest of the day was just usual for Louise. Classes. Lunch. Occasional Bathroom Breaks. Repeat. A cycle that only seemed to go around until it ended at a certain time. Despite the endless hours of lessons and sitting in a chair, she took her classes quite seriously. She made notes here and there, always did her homework the day it was given and tried to at least put an effort into individual and group projects, even though her partner projects tended to laze around while she did all the work. She kept working hard to maintain her high grades as long as she didn't overwork too much.

So when the last bell finally rang, she quickly packed her stuff and waited for Beth to pack hers. Afterwards Louise and her went out to the parking lot, where Beth's car was since she usually drove her home after-school. When they got there, she found one of the cars was covered in splotches of paint, covering the entire thing including the seats as well. There were also a bunch of faux feathers sticking to the paint, as well as the tires of the car flattened. Though the car was not entirely destroyed, it still might need a bit of repairing and cleaning. Surely, it would be troublesome for someone to spend money on the car. Especially for a luxurious car like that.

Speaking of someone, she watched the owner of the car, red-faced and fists clenched as he ran straight towards the car with an anger that she could feel from a mile away from the stairs. She glanced at Beth, who watched the scene with a pity face, since it's her ex-boyfriend after all, before she turned back to the scene unfolding in front of her and the others around as well.

"What the fuck?!" Dwayne Sawyer screeched. His angry face frantically searching the car for more damages. "My fucking precious car..." He wailed before his face turned angry again, glaring at everyone around him. "Do you know how much this car cost?! This was the latest model and gifted to me by my father. How dare you insolent people touch my fucking car! When I catch you, you will pay for this! My father will hear about this as I'm sure he will be very mad!" He then launched into another one of his complaints followed by more about his father and how he will be very mad and other things that she decided to tune out for the sake of her ears.

Louise sighed inwardly before spotting the known troublemaker hiding among the crowd. His blue eyes studied the scene meticulously with a mirth twinkle on his face. The said troublemaker quickly met her stare, the smirk plastered grew wider at her before gesturing her back to the scene.

Watch. William told her with his eyes.

Her head turned back towards the scene just in time for Dwayne to open the trunk of his car.

     Boom!

More feathers were everywhere, covering him from head to toe and sticking it with some type of glue that would leave a residue on his clothes and shoes. Some students around him laughed and the others were holding up their phones to record him. If anger was a small emotion to Dwayne, he was now beyond livid.

Louise had indifferent emotions towards the boy. Even more towards hatred after he cheated and dumped Beth like she was a piece of gum stuck in his shoes. His looks and being born with a silver spoon of an influential rich father might be scary to a meek person but to her, he was nothing but a little fucker who likes to look down on everyone for his superiority. Though, her possible hatred was nothing compared to William's, as he was the one who could see more of Dwayne's bullshit than she was.

The blonde glanced at William again. This time, he looked at her first. They both stared again for a minute before he disappeared again into the crowd, leaving her with Beth, a humiliated Dwayne and the rest of students who were watching the scene. Louise then turned to Beth, who was still gazing at Dwayne and tapped her shoulder.

     "Let's go home." She spoke.

Beth nodded. Louise then waited for Beth to get into her car before she got in as well. As the car engine was starting, she took one last look at Dwayne again before Beth drove off.

AUTHOR'S NOTE:

First chapter is here, woo hoo. This is another part of Louise's pov because it's just needed. We also get to the two other main characters in this story Beth and William. Their povs are going to be implemented in this as well as some hints on their background. There's also another main character that hasn't been introduced yet but good news is you'll be getting his pov in the next chapter, so yipe :D.

Also this chapter and the upcoming ones might have one pov of the characters but there might be some chapters where I'll put two povs instead of one so it doesn't get too boring (like maybe this chapter). So yeah, I hope you like this chapter.
