Reunion, Take 2
Scott sat up, looking at Vincent. "You're.... You really are alive?"
Vincent walked over a held out a hand, pulling Scott to his feet. "Yep," he said. "I really am alive."
Scott blinked, and smiled, and then barrelled into Vincent. Oh, his body was so warm... He hadn't remembered how nice he smelt, how thin he was, how comforting his touch. He sighed happily.
Vincent smiled, hugging Scott back. "Good to see you, too, Scott."
Scott pulled away, and realised he was crying, but not out of sadness. "I... I thought you died..."
"Honestly, Scott? So did I. I almost didn't believe I made it out alive..." Vincent shook his head. "But the first thing I did was go find you. Well. Try to. Seriously, Scott, if you're going to be upset, fine, but next time you run away from town don't destroy any evidence of you ever having lived. After a year or two I gave up, thought you'd died after all. But after that news report a few days ago,"
"Wait - wasn't it only just on now?" Chris asked.
"Must've been a repeat," Vincent waved his hand dismissively. "Anyway, I realised you were still alive, and I came here by chance. I was walking past some telephone box, and someone was calling the police to tell them where you lived! So I grabbed them, asked them to lead me to you, and here I am!" He left out the part about pressing them to the telephone box wall with a knife and threatening them.
"Wait, wait," Scott said. "They led you to here? But the only people who know I'm here..."
"They promised me enough money to travel all over the world if I told! It wasn't my fault!" Daniel appeared, having just walked in through the kitchen.
"Daniel?!" Scott asked, "But, you knew I wasn't the murderer!"
Daniel shifted uncomfortably. "Yeah... but the police didn't..."
"You were going to hand me in anyway?! I would have been sent to prison! Maybe even sentenced to death!" Scott exclaimed.
Daniel cringed, "Sorry."
"It doesn't matter," Vincent said. "We're back together, now."
Scott nodded, leaning back into Vincent. "I missed you so, so much."
"Yeah," Vincent said, "I missed you, too."
Chris made a coughing sound, and shot a glance at Vincent, "Well, now that that's all over, Scott, I really should apologise for before."
Scott shook his head, pulling himself away from Vincent (much to Chris' delight). "It's okay, Chris. It's... not your fault..."
"Thanks," Chris said. There was an awkward silence for a moment, "So now what are we going to do?"
"Now," Scott said, turning to Vincent, "I want to hear all about how you escaped that night."
