Chris's Little Mistake.
Scott ran into Vincent on the landing. "Oh, Vincent! Hi!" He looked around a bit. "Um, h-how long have you been standing there...?"
"Not long..." Vincent replied. "I've been meaning to ask you something, Scott."
"Uh, what would that be?" Scott asked.
Vincent took Scott in his arms, "Will you, officially, be my boyfriend?"
Scott blinked at him for a moment. "B-Be your... O-of course! Sure!" We're not even in a relationship yet and I've already cheated on him!
Vincent grinned and pulled Scott closer. "Good."
Scott smiled back guiltily. Oh my gawd! What if he finds out about me and Chris?!
Vincent leaned in and kissed him. The same sparks went off in Scott's head, but mixed with a welling guilt. What if he can tell?! What if he knows already!?
Vincent pulled away, frowning. "Is something wrong, Scott?"
Scott didn't make eye contact with him, "No... Everything's fine..."
"Come on, Scott, I can tell you're worried about something..." Vincent said. "You didn't even kiss back."
Scott stayed silent for a while, and then it burst out, "I kissed Chris!"
Vincent stiffened and his grip on Scott tightened. His voice was calm, but with a threatening undertone, "You what?"
And the floodgates opened.
"I'm sorry! He told me it would help him move on if he at least kissed me once and I said if it helped him it was okay so he kissed me but I didn't kiss back and my eyes were open I didn't even enjoy it at all I swear he's not a good kisser like you he's kinda sloppy at it and I'm so sorry I cheated on you!"
Vincent paused for a moment, taking that in, then he relaxed his grip and smiled. "You didn't cheat on me, Scott. We've only been together for, what, all of 15 seconds?" He laughed. "You know what the problem with you is, Scott?"
Scott shook his head.
"Your heart is too big. Chris was sulking because he never got to kiss you, and you felt sorry for him, so you let him have his moment. It's not like you forced yourself upon him. And now you're worried about breaking my heart, so you feel really guilty and had to tell me. You just care too much."
Scott sighed, "So you're not really angry?"
"I'm pretty angry at Chris for talking you into it..." Vincent said, "but not at you."
Scott smiled, "Can we retry that kiss, then?~"
Vincent chuckled, "You don't have to ask me twice~"
He leaned in and kissed him with a fiery passion that Scott returned, tilting his head to deepen it as Vincent growled possessively into it. Now this was a kiss.
The door opened and Chris walked out, blinking at the scene. "Oh come on!" He groaned. "Right here, guys? There's 35 bedrooms in this place and you chose to do it in the hallway in front of mine. I hope you know that that mental image is going to scar me for life."
Vincent and Scott had to pull away to stop from laughing into each other's mouths as Chris continued downstairs.
Vincent looked at where Chris had gone. He seemed to be deep in thought for a moment or two, but then he turned back to Scott and grinned again. "Well, boyfriend, I'm going to go out for a bit." He poked Scott's nose, "Don't go making out with the others while I'm gone, okay?"
Scott grinned lopsidedly and laughed. "I'll try my hardest, but no promises. Be careful, though. Don't get caught by the cops."
Vincent winked, "I never get caught, Scott~ Alright, I'll be back later tonight." He leaned in and left a quick kiss on his lips, purring "See you then~" flirtatiously, and then walked downstairs.
Scott stared after him for a while and then shook his head, sighing. "My boyfriend is so hot."
--
"Chrisso!" Dan said as Chris walked downstairs. "How are you feeling?"
"Much better," Chris grinned. "I had a chat to Scott and he fixed everything up."
"Good on him," Dan said, taking a sip from his coffee and grinning back. He looked up as Vincent came downstairs.
"I'm going out, fellas."
"Alright..." Chris watched him walk to door.
He almost held his tongue.
So nearly almost.
"By the way, Scott's not a bad kisser~"
Daniel spilled his coffee on himself and swore loudly. "Y-You guys kissed?!"
"More like, he kissed me~" Chris grinned.
Vincent chuckled, having reached the door, and turned around. "You really couldn't keep your mouth shut, huh? Typical." He looked at Chris with disdain. "For your information, Scott already told me, and he didn't kiss back, you liar. It was you who kissed him. Though, I'm sure that he'll be very happy to know that you spilled his little secret, and bragged about it, too. So much for a loyal best friend. Nice way to repay him for helping you out." He grinned at Chris's cringing expression. "Not feeling so full of it now, are you?"
Chris suddenly felt very foolish indeed. He reddened. "No, not really..."
"And that's why he's my boyfriend, not yours." Vincent said. "I'll be back later." Without another word, he left the house.
There was a very awkward silence after Vincent left.
Dan cleared his throat. "I'm... Going to change into something... less coffee stained..."
Chris groaned, "I can't believe I did that! Why couldn't I keep my stupid. Mouth. Shut?!"
"T'sallright, man," Dan said. "You just... Got ahead of yourself. Why do you think guys always brag about girls they've been with? Same thing. It's, like, kind of a 'the fish was this big' story."
"Still embarrassing, though." Chris looked back at Dan and laughed, "Y'know, Scott had this idea that we should be together."
Dan's smile dropped. "What?"
"I know! It's ridiculous! It'd never work out. Plus, you're straight."
Ow, my heart. Daniel laughed uneasily. "Yeah. Ridiculous. And... I'm pansexual, by the way..."
"Huh," Chris said. "Someone told me pansexual means you find everyone attractive. What about me, eh? Am I super hot?~"
"It's not like tha-" Dan started and then sighed, not bothering to explain it. "Yes, you're super hot, bro."
"Ha. Yeah, right." Chris grinned, "If only you were Scott, then."
"Yeah," Dan mumbled to himself. "If only I was."
((Phew! That's me done for tonight! ))
