Nico's P.O.V.

I watch them follow the same procedure I had planned them to do for me. I am no doctor, I'm only here for emergencies, so I study the brain scan instead as it displays itself on my laptop screen. Being a psychologist-in-training is helpful, I say.

Though, it's strange feeling Annabeth's life of all people drain out. I'm the son of Hades, I can sense when a life is ending. It's weird because I never thought I'd witness hers so young in our life-span.

However, I continue to watch her brain activity as my friends continue to inject Annabeth with serums and keep her body on track for revival. She should be under for no more than three minutes.

As I watch and listen, I keep my senses on high alert. Five demigods--two children of a god of The Big Three--gathered in the same place, alone together? If I hadn't heard of a monster hazard, this would be my first guess. My only worries are monster invasions, and losing Annabeth without Percy-

Percy! Percy shouldn't know about this, so if we lose Annabeth... Oh, no.

I stare at the brain scan. Multiple areas started lighting up in her brain, like a blue flash of lightning. She's experiencing something either extremely wonderful and pleasant, or extremely treacherous. I wonder if it's the latter... like mine.

"Time to pull her back!" Frank announces from behind me, taking charge. They three pull the heating blanket over Annabeth's dead body, and prepare themselves for the fibbleator. They inject one, maybe two, serums in her veins, and Frank begins CPR. I turn around to see Will placing the fibbleator on either side of Annabeth's chest.

"Ready?" he calls, and Frank moves his hands. "Clear!"

It doesn't work. They repeat the process on more time.

"Clear!" Will yells. Nothing.

I watch them with nothing to do. We have thirty seconds before possible brain damage. Will puts a tube down Annabeth's lungs and has Hazel pumping the air.

"Clear!"

Annabeth jolts for a third time, but starts coughing forcefully.

I sigh of relief, She's alive.
