(53) Hospital Wing
Sirius opened his eyes to find himself at the hospital wing.
'Are you okay?'
Sirius looked over at the voice.
It was Marlene.
'Yeah.'
'You gave me quite a fright.' Marlene said.
'I hope I didn't make a scene.' Sirius said with a grin.
'Not much. Just looked like your regular heart attack.' Marlene said.
'Yeah, my heart does pain a little.' Sirius said.
'What happened there?' Marlene asked sitting down in a chair.
'I have been having these dreams for a while.' Sirius said.
'What dreams?' Marlene asked.
'Today's was different. Others were all Orion, haunting me. Threatening me.'
'The Sarah thing was a decoy wasn't it?' Marlene guessed.
'I don't want to involve you in all this, Marlene.'
'But I want to be involved. I want to be in your life.'
'It's too dangerous.' Sirius said. 'I can't let you risk your life for me.'
'Why not? I love you. Sirius. You can't just break it off so easily because of Orion and his stupid threats.'
'They aren't stupid. Trust me, he does what he says. You are better off without me, atleast for a while.'
'For a while?'
'You have to swear, you won't say anyone.'
'What are you planning to do?'
'Kill Orion.'
'Why? Orion's already in Askaban.'
'He's getting released within a while. He has pull in the ministry.'
'What good will killing Orion do? There will be others. You can't kill them all.' Marlene said.
'I can start by one.' Sirius said, then fell asleep.
Into a sound sleep, because of the pills madam pomfrey had given him earlier.
Marlene sighed and left the place.

'Orion Black. Honestly, does this guy have no life?' James asked.
Remus shrugged.
'Sirius is fine.' Marlene said entering the dorm. 'Crazy but fine.'
'That does sound like Sirius, now doesn't it.' Remus mused.
'Take care of him for me, you guys, will you before he ends up doing something really stupid.' Marlene said.

Sirius woke up in a cold sweat, all previous dreams stacking up in piles.
He was alone, in the dark hospital wing, the dreams still haunting him.
He heard voices.
Carefully, he got down and sneaked up to the wall.
There was a slytherin group of three standing just a bit away. Sirius couldn't see their faces, but could hear their voices faintly but properly.
'You can't bail on this, like this.' A boy said.
'I am not bailing. I am just saying I am not sure.' A girl said.
Sirius had heard that voice before.
'I knew we couldn't trust her.' Another boy said. He had a rough voice and sounded scary.
'Can I leave?' The girl asked.
'Oh, you are not leaving anywhere. Did you think that you could just say no at the last moment and just leave without consequences.' The other boy laughed.
'Let me go. Leave my arm.' She said.
And Sirius recognised the voice.
Katherine Zabini.
'Let me go.' She repeated in strain.
'Not so easily.' The boys grinned.
Sirius quietly opened the door, and sneaked up behind the group.
'I thought I had a choice.' Katherine said.
'You thought wrong. Just prancing around like a bitch won't help you. This is a war, kid.'
'You got that right. It is a war, alright.' Sirius said.
He flicked his wrist and waved his wand.
The boy was thrown into the glass wall. Through the glass.
Glass pieces all around. The place a wreckage.
The other boy stood there watching him.
'Obliviate.' Sirius waved his wand so that he forgot the incident. Then to the other.
Both boys had passed out.
Sirius glanced at Katherine.
'Why?' She asked.
'What why?' He asked.
'You don't even know what happened.' She said.
'Ah, well. I had to do something before I turned crazy.'
'What?'
'Didn't you hear? It's probably all over the school.' Sirius said.
'I don't get it.'
'It's nothing.' Sirius said. 'Are you okay? They didn't hurt you, did they?'
'No, I am fine. T-thanks.' Katherine said.
'That's the nicest thing you have said to me in the past year.' Sirius grinned.
'I have to get going.' Katherine said.
'Yeah.' Sirius said.
***
Sirius paced around in the room, clutching his head to stop the nightmares.
It was dawn, he figured. He hadn't slept for a few hours, not giving Orion to take control of him.
He had been visited by madam pomfrey in between who had given him his medication and told he would be fine within a couple of days.
He never thought he would miss having classes. But he did.
But what he missed most was Marlene.
He hated the world for doing this to him.
He was scared to follow his heart as it would affect Marlene's life one way or the other.
He dreaded everything.
He was confused. Lonely. Murderous.
