(48) Reminder Of The Past
'That was a hell of a game of quidditch. How did you learn moves like that?' James asked.
'Well, I play often. It's a craze.' Dylan said. 'I am not as good as you though. Do you plan quidditch as a career?'
'Nah, haven't really thought about that.' James shrugged.
'Well, you should. You have bright prospects.' Dylan said.
'We should get something to eat.' Remus said. 'I am starving.'
'Well, you guys could drop by my house. It's just a couple of blocks.' Dylan said.
'No' Remus said before James could agree. 'How about a restaurant, instead?'

'You're late. I was expecting you, much earlier.' Marlene said.
'Well, I got sidetracked with quidditch with the guys. I am here, now.' Sirius greeted her with a kiss.
'Well, my parents are out this evening.' Marlene winked.
'I can certainly think of things we could do to make good use of the house, your parents wouldn't approve though.' Sirius said showering her with kisses.
'I am in coz i don't think we will be disturbed, anytime soon, atleast.' She said, just as there was a knock at the front door.
'Ugh, Why did I have to say that?' Marlene sighed.
'Wait, I will get that.' Sirius said.
Sirius walked down the stairs, to the door and opened it.
'Sarah?' Sirius said, trailing for words.
'Won't you invite me in?' She asked, giving a sweet grin which seemed a long time ago.
Sirius opened the door for her to come in, at a loss of words.
'So, you and Marlene, that's new.' Sarah said coming in.
'Three years is a long time. Things change.' Sirius said.

[3rd Year]
'So, how are things between you and Sarah?' Remus asked.
'I don't know about that.' Sirius laughed uneasily. 'I would like to say things are hot, but she's been distant for the past couple weeks.'
'Don't worry, it will be okay.' Remus assured.
'I don't know. I think she's seeing somebody else.'
'That's a bold assumption? Are you sure?'
'No, but it could be.'
'You will just kill yourself thinking all that. Just chill out.'
'One fire whiskey for me.' Sirius called out to Rosmerta.
'No way. Sirius, you are underage.'
'This place doesn't check age.'
'That's not the point. You shouldn't be drinking, you are thirteen.'
'Relax, it's not like i will turn into an alcoholic. I just need something to get my mind off Sarah.' Sirius said.
'Hey, there's lily and the others.' Sirius said.
Remus looked there and saw the four gryffindor girls chatting.
'When are you going to make a move? Dude, she's into you.' Sirius said.
'I don't think Lily's interested in dating anyone, really. She's more of a studious type.'
'Come on, you two flirt every chance you get. And don't get me started about those study sessions. It's like you guys are already dating but haven't made it official.'
'Official? What, do I have to sign something?' Remus laughed.
'Don't miss out on your chance. Trust me, this thing with Sarah has taught me one thing. There are other guys.' Sirius said.
'Oh, right and who's my competition?' Remus smirked.
The door opened and James entered.
'Hey, you guys. I have been looking for you everywhere.' James said sitting down their booth. 'So fill me in.'
'Remus is afraid to confess his feelings to lily.' Sirius said.
'Remus, go for it. You have delayed this too long. I mean you guys have chemistry and timing. What else do you need?' James said.
'And there is no other guy scenario.' Sirius huffed.
'Do you want an other guy scenario, though to give you a boost, because I am up for it.' James joked.

[Present]
'Marlene, this is Sarah.'
'Sarah, this is my girlfriend, Marlene.'
Sarah smiled and held out her hand.
Marlene shook it, with a rather blunt expression.
'Weren't you in San Francisco or something?' Marlene asked.
'Yeah. Then Germany, for a while. Yeah, but nothing worked out as I hoped. So here I am back.'
'Care for a coffee?' Marlene asked.
'Yeah, sure.' Sarah said. 'Decaf.'
Marlene took the chance to exit from there.
'Sarah, why are you here?'
'Cause things didn't work out. Didn't you hear the first time?'
'No, I mean, here.'
'James told me, you were out here with Marlene.'
'That still doesn't answer my question.' Sirius said.
'I came to meet you. Nothing wrong in meeting an old friend, is there?'
'You couldn't have waited till we went back to Hogwarts?'
'Look, if I am posing an imposition for you two, I can leave.'
'Don't leave on my account. You cheat on me. You leave for San Francisco suddenly. You never replied to my letters. What do you want me to do? Hug you and say, it's okay?' Sirius said, gasping out of breath.
'I don't owe you any explanations. I get where I am not invited.' Sarah said walking out.
'She left already?' Marlene asked after a few minutes returning with the coffee.
'Yeah, something came up. She had to go.'
'Guess I should get used to the ex-girlfriend visits, huh?' Marlene asked.
'Are you angry with me? Did I do something wrong?'
'No. It just take some times to get used to.'
'You have got nothing to worry about. You know I love you. Too much, infact.' Sirius said.
'Yeah, I am just being paranoid.'
