At eight, both Sirius and James were waiting at the bridge at which Evans's date was taking place.

'It has a direct view to the sunset. I should use this bridge more often.' Sirius commented.

'Shut up Dave.' James said.
'I think I might be Richard.' Sirius said.

'Are you serious?'
'And that too.'

'Hey dave- oh, didn't expect you here Richard.'

Both of them smiled no idea which one of them was which.

'Can I talk to you in private?' Sirius pulled lily aside.

'So?' She said. 'What are you doing here?' Lily asked.

'What do you mean?' Sirius asked.

'I mean why are you here when I am on a date with your brother?' Lily asked.

'Oh- wait, what?' Sirius asked.
'Stop ruining our dates, Rogers. Get a life.' Lily said irritated apparently finding this normal.

'Yeah- I wont. I —' Sirius started he passed a discrete look at James.

'Well I will leave you two alone.' James said, misreading Sirius's look completely.

'Why?' Lily asked.

'Aren't you- oh. Nothing. Just some- leave us alone, bro.' James said grasping on the act.

Sirius walked away winking at James leaving James and Lily to stare at the starry sky.

'So, lily.' James started.
'It will be just lily today?' Lily asked.

'Um I guess.' James said not knowing what nickname the bastard might have given Evans.

'I don't think—' James stopped when he saw lily listening intently to him. He realized he was inches close to her.

And then suddenly instead of breaking up, he was kissing her.

He knew it was wrong but it felt right.

He broke apart.

'Yeah, um what were you saying?' Lily asked.

'I have something great planned for you.' James said going completely opposite to the plan.

They had hidden the brothers in the room of requirement, with sleeping pills so that wasn't a problem.

James took another sip of the potion.

He saw that he didn't have a lot of it. But enough to manage a couple hours.

Instead of doing horrible things to her, breaking her heart after all these years she had broke his, he found himself taking her to a new famous restaurant in Hogsmeade.

He had revealed a secret passage to lily when the marauders were sworn to secrecy to never show anyone their illegal routes.

This was terrible as Rogers would definitely not know about the path.

He ended up spending galleons on the food which was the first thing that made lily suspect that he was not who he pretended.

After a few minutes he had found out his name was Dave, though lily called him Davy.

James didn't know why to make a nickname for someone if it was as long as the person's name.

'So? Do have an answer to what I asked today morning?' Lily asked with a smile on her face.

'What did you ask?' James asked.

'Don't play dumb. I have given you plenty of time.'

'I need more.' James said not knowing what she was talking about.

James took some bits of the food then commented on how good it was.

He was so contented being with lily, that he had completely forgotten about the plan.

That was until he saw Sirius back to his original self, sitting in the corner.

'What's Black doing here?' James tried to make some conversation.

'Better to ignore him.' Lily said. 'Just give me an answer. Will you come out to the open that we are dating.'

This was when he said 'No.' and broke up with her. Say that this was not working out.

Instead he said 'Sure, honey.' and leaned in to her give her a quick kiss.

Just as he leaned he fell over.
Definitely sirius's job.

He tried to get up but fell again. Somehow Sirius was not letting him get up.

And when he thought that the plan couldn't go further wrong - Remus entered the restaurant with Dorcas.

As the two of them went to the counter, Remus at once spotted Sirius.

Sirius glanced at remus and the spell broke and James got up.

As he drank another couple sips of the potion, he noticed that the potion was dreadfully over.

The plan was getting more miserable by the moment.

'Are those two back together?' James tried to form light conversation.

Lily's eyes widened. 'Well that's not .. new.'

'You are looking extremely pretty tonight, ev— lily.' James said slowly after an awkward moment of silence.

He had almost used her last name. To use her first name and not get punched was... new.

But his conscience was started to getting the better of him. He was doing a horrible thing. He was using lily.. he couldn't do this to her..

Just as he got up to confess, he fell down again, courtesy to Sirius who was now sitting in the table ahead of them.

James looked around that the restaurant was full except for the table to his right which was took over by Remus and Dorcas.

Dorcas shook her head when she noticed lily grinning at her.

'Its not what you think.' Dorcas said.

'Is it more than that?' Lily smirked.
'No, it's really not.' Remus said.

'Care to join us?' Lily asked looking at James.
James shrugged hinting he didn't want them to.

Lily took it the other way.

'No, it would be more like an imposition. That's not right.' Remus politely declined.

'No, it will be fine. Right, Dave.'

'Sure.' said James sipping his wine in an elegant manner.

Remus sat in the seat where he was directly behind Sirius.

James thought that Remus had understood that he was James and not this Dave guy, since Sirius was here.

Apparently, Remus hadn't.

'Got stood up, huh siri?' He whispered before sitting.

Sirius went to protest when James coughed blocking the conversation.

'Lily wait a moment. I need to- yeah.' James muttered heading for the bathroom.

In another three minutes, he was accompanied by Sirius.

'What took you so long?' James hissed.

'Remus was throwing questions at me.' Sirius said. 'And you are the one to hiss? What about the fucking plan?'

'I don't think I can go through with it. It's a terrible thing to do.'

'We are past terrible. Rather complete the job then walk empty-handed.' Sirius said.

'But I am really loving this.' James said.

'James do the thing. I will do mine. And let's get the hell out of here before I kick your ass.'

'Nice pep talk, padfoot.' James said.

'Get out and do it.' Sirius said.

'Fine, jackass. I am gonna do it. Okay? I just hadn't expected Remus in the mix.'

'Yeah, we have much bigger problems than Remus. You are back to James.'

'I still have some.' James said. 'Approximately two sips which will last another twenty minutes.'

'I am waiting in the lotus casino. Meet me in twenty.' Sirius said before swiftly walking away, his black hoodie and sunglasses making him unrecognisable.

James took the sip in one gulp and emptied it. Then with an overwhelming sense of dread accumulating in him, he walked over to the table where Remus seemed to be having the most awkward time of his life.
