With the weight of the world

Cracking each rib.

You promised a sun,

To bring a saving light.

Mistreated, you intended to change.

Been beaten, no meaning or trace.

Only the world's cruel game.

A whisper like dew,

Rang through your lips.

Freshwater, I drank. 

Quenching each drip.

"You're simply wonderful,

My queen,

Had you bad since day one,

It's true, it's official,

But admiration has a cost,

A traveler must pay their debt.

To pay in confusion and agony.

To blame and then to shed. 

I threw up,

Conjugating your needs.

I cleaned up,

All your lies solely to please.

A long year has bled me dry.

A long torment, I find freedom and fly.

But still, as the dreams remain,

I beat myself brutally, wishing you'd stay.

Keep the light, the sun you gave.

But even a star will soon out blaze.

And die.

To last billions or last years.

Some stars were meant to drown in tears.

To have all, most, some and then none.

Your love dried up, scorched by the sun.

Only my memories afloat at last.
